This was originally going to be two parts but eh. More second channel content coming very soon. Mod: www.runthinksh... Main channel: / ajollywanker Twitter: / jollywangcore Twitch: / jollywangcore Patreon: / ajollywangcore
I'm sorry if I offended any of the level creators while playing these. I feel like I come of as a bit obnoxious in this video but I was just very happy to be back streaming and talking after a month of illness. Also if you are unaware of what "Map Labs" is, Map Labs is an ongoing mapping competition held by HL2 community members. They give out a theme and modders have a couple of weeks to make maps based around said theme.
We need feedback, jolly, tell us how to improve so we know next time what was right or wrong. Thats why we join this competition in the first place, to improve ourselfs.
"He sounds drunk..." Thank you for the image of the Voice Actor, sitting infront of his own system and mic, whilst slouched in his chair, wearing nothing but tighty whities, and 2 empty bottles of vodka infront of him.
I love that Jolly was getting himself worked up expecting a gnome jumpscare, but it just throws a guy with a gun at him- the most basic and common video game enemy there is.
Jolly: "This channel is just for videos that I don't think are worth the effort of editing" Also Jolly: *Fast-forwards past scandinavian rambling and provides a subtitle for it*
StormyStrife fun fact in one stream he mentioned he uploads clips to RU-vid to get the auto generated captions and well there 90% of caption done for him and all he has to do is do some proof reading and fixes any of the errors.
He always did amazing work with the subtitles, and with the voiceover it's even better. Just look at the blue shift vidoes and how he moves the text when the character moves and turns itwhen the character turns, etc
Imagine a guy walks around a corner with an orange gun And flings a skeleton at you at nearly 100 kmh Edit: I notice the likes, courtesy of notifications. Also I listened to the comments
It's not bad! Just keep working on it and refining your skills! The few things I'd suggest: add a couple of seconds in the opening sequence to show controls. And: give the player more time with the "phone guy" to get more acquainted with the story. Keep up the good work, though!
Imagine being an unsuspecting combine soldier. You round a corner, defending your society as you know it. The last thing you see is a skeleton coming at you at mach 10. The next thing you know most of your bones are broken. You lie hopeless on the floor as your life slips away.
I'm a little too knowledged on FNAF fan-games for my own good, and I dunno if anyone else pointed this out already but here we go! That first map (and the last one as a consequence), I'm almost certain, was supposed to be a HL2 rendition of a pre-existing FNAF fan-game _(coincidentally)_ known as "Five Nights at Jolly's 3" which I remember was split in 2 parts, the relevant half was the 2nd part. There were a good number of giveaways on that, the jammer was the first thing I properly registered. I believe that the proper Jolly's 3 is actually free so it's like, it probably isn't doing much harm, but like _really?_ I will give them some credit though for making a serviceable camera system and just generally making a good effort to emulate the FNAF experience regardless, I imagine that's not particularly easy to do even with the Source engine. Some more polish and some creative ideas and they might have a more original variant of the FNAF formula worth playing on their hands. (No offense is intended, of course!)
Okay, since Jolly Wangcore is really uncultured, i’ll tell him this. The FNaF one was using mechanics taken from a FNaF fan-game called Jolly 3: Part 2, and the paper bag talking about walking forever comes from the game, PT, which was a teaser for Silent Hills, which got cancelled. There you go.
Well, if we assume the average human skeleton's 14% of the body weight, a 60kg person would have a 8.4kg skeleton. Which if launched at something could weigh anywhere from 1.5-2.5x (I dunno the velocity the g-gun puts on the object, so I can only estimate according to my understanding), which means 12.6-21kg of stronger-than-steel mass, which is quite a lot. Not like a truck, but if it doesn't kill you it will hurt and likely break something.
