This delightful video reminds me of a vid by the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra (a wonderful Caledonian group) in which a couple of teenage boys were presented as young fiddlers doing their own thing and playing a "Bluegrass" tune. The lads forsook their kilts and donned jeans and cowboy hats for the tune they played which was--Maple Sugar! I had to laugh. Maple Sugar is not even a US tune, being as Canadian as one could wish. I don't think that it is known or played much in the United States except in New England (the Northeast), which is where I learned it from a French-Canadian fiddler.Patti, I just ran across your videos and have subscribed. I live in Maryland now where Canadian fiddling and tunes are scarcer than hen's teeth. You are bringing back some wonderful memories. Thanks so much.

I had never heard of this tune. I like it. If I can figure it out for mandolin, I might have another great tune. Thanks
