There were cannons in late medieval Europe. They were famously used in the 100 year war (although for some reason where left out in the Netflix movie "the King", shame on them), in the assault on Constantinople by the Osmanians and several other occasions. During that period armours like the ones shown here would be worn a lot (although I don't think the armours themselves are that historically accurate, but I didn't bother putting more research into this)

People always seem to forget that Ethiopia was colonized by Italy during WW2. They were just called Abyssinia at the time. Also the huge string of British victories leading up to Tobruk, for some reason.

Ethiopia never even officially surrendered to Italy.Ethiopian rebels were supplied by the British and maintained control of some of Ethiopia under the command of Haile Selassie, and later on fought with the British once they invaded Italian east Africa.

Drew, the bear was a real thing. It’s name was Wojtek, and it was an actual Polish soldier and he even got promoted from Private to Corporal. Constantinople had 3 walls, each one higher the closer they were to the inside. The walls were built that way to let rows of canons fire, each at different heights. I think they also had a giant fishnet, smeared with a substance that would be set on fire from either end, to prevent ships going through.
