Here is a user from Spain. A month ago I bought the Sr8015 with two Dali Opticon 6 mk2 speakers. I could have gone for the cinema 40, but it has less power. What really made the difference and made me decide on the sr8015 was the TOROIDAL transformer, if you are looking for Hifi that makes the difference. The architecture of the new cinemas is monolithic, they will sound good I don't doubt it, but they lack the toroidal transformer. The sr8015 also has 8k (almost non-existent in bluray and compressed on youtube) and by comparison, the heaviest. It weighs more, in audio equipment the weight is an indication of quality. I am very happy for having chosen the se8015, it is a 2020 model (my equipment was manufactured in September 2022 compared with marantz). It cannot be considered old. I think that the cinemas are a marketing strategy and renewal of the models, they will sound good, but I doubt that better. That said, I advise you to find out about the Toroidals and their advantages. Greetings to everyone who has read it in its entirety.
The cinema series was introduced as they had to drastically raise the prices. They had to make the series appear completely different. A cinema 40, the replacement for the sr7015 costs as much as what the sr8015 was.
Hi… i am today deciding same as you, do you still feel the 8015 is better. The 40 has so many hdmi 2.1 connection, why so few on the 8015… how to connect everything like 4k projector, 4k blueray player, ps5…. Do i need 3x 2.1 in and out?? Help please
@@MasterofPlay7 I'm running my Marantz SR 7015 on Tannoy Eclipse three, Eclipse centre and eclipse mini with a wharfdale 10 diamond sub and it sounds terrific, I'm thinking of upgrading to a Kef setup next
I recently purchased the AV8015 Marantz over the Cinema line because of the incredible deals out there. With regards to the new equipment. Why do you actually need 8 8k video outs? 100% of the time, resolution is determined by the TV source. Most people have 4k TVs & Projectors anyway. Unless you are using an 8K Blu-ray player & an 8K TV, its not necessary.
Thank you man. You are the only guy on the planet who knows what's going on with Martenz. Seriously dude if I am local in Texas I will be driving by your shop and grab a cinema 50 right away tomorrow. But unfortunately I am in Toronto. There are some local shops that sell those, but no body has a clue what's going on. Everyone just thought Martenz stops making receivers after 2020. The cineam 50 is selling for around $3,300, while the SR7015 is selling for $3,999 brand new over here, so it's a no brainer over here up north. 🤣
My MArantz Sr7015 has eARC for the TV return. What are you referring to when you state "hey also do not support eARC, which means you cannot enjoy lossless audio formats over HDMI."?
Hi Zack i have a question for you...by some years ago i want to change my receiver Pioneer sc lx 75 class d3 and more clarity and powerful it has...but now i would buy a new marantz receiver Cinema 40!!👍 this marantz could be more performance by Pioneer in clarity ?👍 thanks for your answer!👋
simple and direct question, does the marantz AV 10 compared to the Marantz AV 8805\A have a better sound?, by better sound I mean more precision, greater details, more spatiality, more channel separation, more three-dimensional stereophony and better than the 8805A? It's more musical and has a cinematic timbre like trinnov or storm audio thanks
Thanks for the comment! These cabinets are manufactured by Salamander and are made specifically for Ultra Short Throws. If you would like to learn more, feel free to reach out sales team.
Exactly the same. Almost. Just a face lift, maybe a hardly noticeable increase in performance. They just have to refresh the model other than that wouldn't make a difference what model you had.
We have the 8805 in stock! Give us a ring. We guarantee the lowest price and nationwide free shipping! We also have the denon 8500 I’m stock still. It’s a great unit as well.
I think the older style Sr series has a nicer interface look. The new style looks cheap to me. Maybe I'm partial to the Sr because I own a sr6009. Why did they stop supporting Sirius radio? We paid for that support then marantz canceled the service. Not happy with marantz.
the 8015 can 7.1.6 or 9.1.4 with a 2 channel amp , the cinema series can with the same 2 channel amp only 5.1.6 or 7.1.4 13 channel processing versus 11 for me it was a easy choice. and 4 subs with the 8015 is possible but 2 more speakers with the cinemas not.
