I absolutely love the colours on your Garter Marler cardigan. They are so autumnal and beautiful! Your Vinahop has ended up so colourful too and a lovely practical garment. Glad to hear you’ve been able to visit the East Anglian yarn festival. We lived in Norfolk for many years but sadly it wasn’t on then! Glad you treated yourself. I’m still working through my scraps on my crochet blanket and can now see the bottom of the basket, so it’s all good! Take care and thanks for a lovely half hour with you x

Oh wow sounds like you are doing so well with your scrap basket. I think it will be quite some time before I get to see the bottom of mine, but I am slowly working through the pile that I pulled out to work through 😃

Hey Ange! So good to see you! Hope your family life is settling down a bit. It's hard when you are dealing with family issues. You aren't scattered or haphazard. You just love variety! And darn all those yarn dyers and designers for constantly coming out with new patterns! I'll never make up everything I want to make up. So many beautiful scrappy projects! They are amazing. I love the pink socks. And the green ones are fabulous. I never think to put two of the same color family together. I'll be doing something in the scrappy MAL, but not sure what. I love FDF Fibers. I was in the Sock Squad for two years and received lots of beautiful skeins of yarn, but it was time to shake it up a bit. Now I'm in the Freckled Whimsey Christmasy Sock Club - all Christmas self stripings. Both of the sock clubs have just added to my stash. I've used three of twenty four Sock Squad skeins and will cast on my first skein for the Christmasy Sock Club this summer for the Summer Sock Camp. That yarn and sock bag are perfect together! What a lovely gift to match your new bag. It's great that you had a chance to go to somewhere different. Around here, driving three hours north to the Great Lakes Fiber Fest will find at least half the vendors are different! Always great. Lyme Regis! That's on my bucket list!! Did you find any fossils while you were there? Did you see the Mary Anning statue?
@YarnNYarns

Yay so glad that you will be joining in the scrappy make along. Can’t wait to see what you decide to make. No fossil hunting when we were in Lyme but yes I did get to see the Mary Anning statue. I hope you are able to visit one day it’s a beautiful place

Hello lovely lady! It's always a treat to see you. I've loved seeing your makes today, your Garter Marler is going to be amazing when it's done! I'm currently deviating from all my projects and participating in a mini KAL with my friend Rae (aka psychoknitter). We're making Tosca by Natasja Hornby, which is chock-a-block full of subtle details that is making the project zip along. I'm using Midwinter Yarns Black and Blue, their single flock yarn - the colour I chose was Dragon, which is a true raspberry red.

Hi Ange! Lovely to see you again. I am currently working on one of my twelve cast ons. I finished the adult version of Cribbage for my stepdaughter and now I am finishing up the toddler version. To keep it in the family, I am also working on Saven by Meghan Babin, for my son-in-law. It’s a stunning cable sweater. For myself, a pair of shortie socks. Keep smiling and happy knitting.

Hi Ange. It's always lovely to see you. Hope you're ok and the family situation is easing. Travelling to and fro must be exhausting physically and mentally. That's where the knitting comes in as a distraction and soother. As always, the projects and finishes are beautiful. Wow, the cowl is stunning. I've finished a crochet shawl for myself! Got it blocked in the sun today. Im currently working on a cowl in Merino Silk and yak silk. The pattern is my own design. The I've got socks to cast on for a friends big birthday. A special pair of pride socks. Once her partner sees them, she'll want a pair. Take care of yourself. Xx🌈💕

How are your pride socks coming along? I bet your friend will love them/ It’s been a slightly easier month so far with the back and forth to family but we’re expecting to get busy with it again in n the coming weeks. Its is tiring but we’re still smiling and taking it one day at a time xx

@YarnNYarns glad you've had a bit of restbite. These kinds of situations peak and trough, don't they? It's good that you can keep smiling . A lot of the time, you can't change things. I'm working on the socks as we speak. Using the colour palette socks pattern. Think I mentioned it as a good stash buster. I'm on the foot now , working consecutively. Got to get them done for Saturday. I will photograph them for insta. Take care of yourself. Xx💕🌈

I love watching your videos, seeing you all smiley and happy as you talk about yarns and knitting and spinning is just the best. The tunic is absolutely fantastic, I love the colours!! I'm currently working on a sweater for our godson - only half of a sleeve to go and two buttons to sew on (plus the infamous weaving of ends ;) ) and then that project will be done! Afterwards, it's still the vest for my granddad (with hopefully more cooperative yarn) and two sock WIPs.

All of your projects are beautiful. My current knitting wips are a pair of socks, fingerless mitts, and a pi shawl. I also had a leftover fingering yarn Habitation Blanket on the needles. I am planning to cast on a Jelly Roll Blanket using my leftover self striping sock yarns.

Really enjoyed that! The scrappy socks are amazing. I recently got to the end of my WiPs 😮(barring one pair of socks which doesn’t count!). V difficult then to choose from the 50plus projects I have lined up (and have got the yarn for), but began a Kayleen pullover for a friend and Bavarian crochet blanket for an upcoming baby. So much to knit/crochet/weave/spin and so little time. You know the scenario…..

My current project is a slow one, making rolags from a Shetland/baby doll grey and black fleece I bought from a local farmer. I am blending it with hot pink and green recycled sari silk. The rolags remind me of northern lights!

I’m making a Dark academie by Sharon Hartley in dark chocolate, with a foxy orange for the arches and a speckled orange, cream and brown for the rounders. I must have been channeling my inner Ange. Hope you and James can take respite where you can, I’ve done the haring over the country thing, it’s exhausting.

Most of my knitting time currently is wrapped up in knitting the Turtle Dove Cardigan. I'm already playing yarn chicken. Originally I thought I'd have tons of leftovers (do you think I'll ever start a project by knitting a swatch? nope. me neither. I have sleeves on hold, about 5 inches of body. I'm going to finish off these two skeins (mohair and an aran weight handspun) then put the body on hold and knit the sleeves two at a time. Really hoping I can knit decent length sleeves with one of the handspuns on each, giving me the rest of the yarn for a longer cardigan body.

Hope everything works out with your turtle dove, I’m keeping everything crossed for you. As you know I’m also firmly in the ‘will I ever swatch, erm that’ll be nope’ club 🤣🤣 so you are not alone 😃🧡
