Yay, lovely to have a video from you, I'm sorry to hear that you've had a full on time of things recently. My vote is for the Heritage Harbour, lovely you colours and could be a nice summery wear as the weather warms. Xx
Hi great to see you with your May Making Plans. I am happy to be added to your wheel to pick future projects if you have a space. Looking forward to seeing that lovely handspan turned into a traveller shawl 😀. My choice for the you tube pick is the last long cardigan
Thank you so much I’ll add you to the wheel for next time. If you would t mind letting me know your Instagram name or your email so I have an easy way to contact you when your name pops up that would be amazing. If you’d rather not share here please feel free to email me yarnnyarns@yahoo.com
Oh this was lovely to watch! What a fun way to go through WIPs and UFOs! My vote is for Heritage Harbour, it would make a great summer sweater! :) As for my plans for May, I'm working on a birthday socks and will try to knit mittens for a friend as well as a vest for my granddad.
Thank you so much ☺️ I’m so glad to know that you enjoyed it. It sounds like you have some lovely projects to keep you company this month, I hope you manage to get them all done 🤞🧡🧡
My vote is for the cardigan! I'm working on a scrap busting Cozy Classic Raglan and some Coffee Order Socks right now. I have a few other projects in the wings but they're hibernating right now. I just finished my second Emotional Support Chicken also - I'm a bit addicted! Edit: I decided to play along with your prompts! The random number generator prompt gave me my Coffee Order Socks. For the neck prompt I will be pulling my Geogradient shawl out of hibernation, though I think I need to decide if I like enough to keep or if I want to repurpose the yarn. I don't weave, so I'm going to use that as an opportunity to work on some spinning (my new e-spinner should be here soon!!). For the RU-vid pick I did another random number generator, and got my Cozy Classic Raglan, which I'm excited to keep working on! And then I also just started a sewing project that I want to keep working on - it's a hand sewn english paper pieced project bag. So I'm adding that to the mix as well!
Thank you so much for playing along with the prompts and sharing your projects. I love your picks and am excited to hear how you get on with them. Especially whether you decide to keep going with the shawl. Hope you have a great making month 🧡🤗
Lovely surprise when you popped up today. I hope May is a bit calmer for you. That traveller shawl is going to be amazing- im planning on making one with my 2024 advent. My vote would be for the heritage harbour- think it will bring you joy to see even more progress on it. I have finished 5 of my 12 cast ons and actively working on another 2 through May. Really hope to get all 12 done by Christmas! Thanks for another great video and take care ❤
You are doing so well with your cast ons. I haven’t managed to finish even one of mine yet though I’m hoping I might be able to change that in the next few days as I’m really close with one of them now. I’ve just cast on my traveller and it’s a really addictive knit so far 😃
Aww, lovely to see you again soon. Hope Saturday gave you some resbite from the family thing. It was a great weekend. I'm struggling to recover, but that's the price I have to pay. We got a sample of the bobbly yarn to try. I love both projects, but the cardigan just about wins. Hope you get some making time this month. Look after yourself. Xx🌈💕
It’s always a highlight of my wonderwool to come and see you for a hug. I hope Sunday was a little bit warmer for you. I hope you are able to have a nice relaxing week with plenty of rest so you can recover 🧡😘
Lovely to see you again. I have just finished a baby blanket I started in January 2023 and I'm now trying to finish a 4ply cardigan ready for the summer. I think you should get more done on the cardigan x
Wonderful well done for getting the blanket finished, it always feels so nice when you finish up a long term wip doesn’t it. Hope you make some good progress with your cardigan this month 🤞🤞
Hi Angela, it's good to see you again! If I remember correctly, you have a family member who is quite unwell and I really hope that that situation is now improving in whatever way is best for that person. Since it seems to be getting a bit warmer - it got up to 21°C today, May 4th, here in Glastonbury! - a cooler project seems indicated, so I vote for the gorgeous colours of your Heritage Harbour project! My May will still be knitting socks, I'm on my third pair now with that glorious yarn I bought from your lovely shop, and I want to start on my very first time ever top down, in the round sweater! I'm not the kind of person who likes having lots of projects on the needles - or anywhere else - so one small one and one big is about me done! I may cast on some more socks when those are done! 😂
Thank you Arwen. FIL is under going treatment now so we have to wait until he completes the cycle to see whether it’s working as hoped, I really appreciate your well wishes It sounds like you have some amazing projects to keep you company this month and it makes me so happy to know that you have been enjoying the sock yarn 🥰🧡
Hi Ange, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast and your May making plans. I vote for the Heritage Harbor Sweater as I think it might get a little too warm to be Knitting on a Cardigan and hopefully you won't need a Cardigan during the next few months ( she said hopefully)😅😅 All your picks for May sound amazing. Love the Yarn you bought at the Yarn Festival, I've never been to one, si I love to see what is bought at them. I finally finished my Shawl and the Eyelet Border with my Handspun has really lifted the whole project. Loom is warped ready for the Scarf project, I just needed to Spin more yarn for it. I hope you and James enjoyed your Concert.🎶🎶 Happy Spinning, Knitting and Weaving Special Fibre Friend 🎡🧶🎉🐑🐑🥰🥰🌈🌈 Take care and stay safe Lots of love, Blessings and Big Hugs to you and James and Cuddles for Newt..Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛ I hope your family situation starts to improve for you, I must admit that I've been rather worried about you.
Oh that’s fantastic well done for finishing the shawl you must be so pleased 😃🧡👏👏 Thanks for your well wishes we appreciate them. Hope all is well with you xx
@@YarnNYarns Hi Ange, You're very welcome xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for the Heart ♥ Sending Heart ♥ back to you ❤️💞 Yeah I am well pleased with it. All the dropped stitches and rows pulled back were worth all of the time and effort that I put into it. We're both OK thanks for asking 🌝🌝 Now I can crack on and finish the Weaving and the Mitts. I hope you can find some extra time to concentrate on your projects too. 👏👏🌷🌷🥰🥰 Hope you have a Wonderful Month Special Fibre Friend 🌞🔆🌟🌈🌈🐑🥰🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Woolly Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️🐑🐑🐑🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛
Hi Ange! Lovely to see you. My vote is for Heritage Harbor. I have recovered from my tendinitis with the help of cortisone. My WIPs pile has grown! I’ve finished 1 of my 12. Really need to get a move on! I look forward to seeing you again !
Jennie I’m so happy to here that you have recovered, I bet that is a huge relief. Hehe well you are still going better than me as I haven’t finished any of my cast ons yet but I’m hoping to change that in the next few days 🤞🤞🧡
Lovely to see you Ange! My vote is for the Heritage Harbor Lovely seeing all of your projects and hearing your plans. I am still spinning and hopefully improving! I was lucky enough to attend Wonderwool this year as we were on holiday in Wales. I was totally inspired by the spinning there and obviously came home with a few braids in my luggage! Take care x
Thank you Heather. I hope you had an amazing time at wonderwool it’s such a great show. I’m so excited for you that you are enjoying your spinning, that makes me so happy 😃🧡
@@YarnNYarns Ange I really think Wonderwool was one of the best shows I have ever been to! People were so friendly as I was on my own and I thought the vendors were so chatty and helpful! The food outlets and drinks vendors were certainly the best ever! Want to go next year now too! Did you go? X
@heathertucker7056 I’m so glad you had a wonderful time. Yes I did go on the Saturday wasn’t sure if I was going to make it with all the family stuff going on so it was a bit last minute but I did have a lovely day c
Hello Ang! How wonderful that Elaine chose the sock spin for you to work on ❤ I loved your yarn, so look forward to seeing them 🙂 I'm just now finishing my socks from this year's spin! My vote is for your Heritage Harbor sweater. Take care ❤
Thank you, I’m so excited to finally have the excuse to cast on with that yarn, it’s been sitting there waiting for far too long. Thank you once again for the inspiration I appreciate everything that you share with us all 😘🧡😃
Because I love Ailbiona's patterns so much my vote is with the Last Long cardigan! You've got some great projects to work on the month - looking forward to seeing how you get on with them x
Happy to see you back here on RU-vid. I would love to see you work on your Heritage Harbor so you can maybe wear it sometime in the warmer months this year. For the "neck" prompt I am working on a Magical Thinking by Casapinka. It's my second one. I made one for my mom, and it was such a fun project and versatile piece that I had to have one for myself.
Thank you Andra 🥰 isn’t it lovely when you find a pattern that you enjoy so much you just have to knit more than one. Hope you have a great making month ahead 😘
I vote for the cardigan. Know you're family is my prayers. I have a MKAL shawl I'm working as well n the Forrest path hap, a snood so I can make it again in Alpaca.... 🙏🙏🙏
My vote is Heritage Harbour. There is a slight possiblity that you maaay finish it and be able to wear it in the coming warmerish weather 😃 Im spinning some of the most divinely soft and amazinly VM free Alpaca fleece. Woolly Huggs xxx Lyn
Thank you, everyone seems to have confidence that I might be able to finish the Heritage Harbor. I guess time will tell 🤣 Your alpaca spin sounds gorgeous
I vote for the Last Long cardigan! My current project on the needles is the Gleði cardigan by Vedis Jonsdottir. I have recently started support spindling which is how I found your channel!
Ooh I just looked up the Gleoi and it’s amazing I bet you’ll wear it so much when it’s done. I hope you are enjoying your exploration of support spindle spinning. Thank you so much for your lovely comments 🥰🧡
That sounds like a wonderful collection of projects for the month. Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to share your making plans 🥰🧡
I'm excited to see the weaving project! That's such a fun use for a colourful yarn like that. And I love your lunna mitts, I'm glad you're working on those again. This month I'm planning to work on my Rye Light socks and my Fair + Square blanket, plus I've just cast on a Toph hat with the East Anglian yarn that I picked up at EAYF. I'm really excited about working with wool from sheep that are super local to me! I vote for the cardigan; I always want to see an interesting construction.
Ooh sounds like you have some amazing projects to keep you company in May. I purchased fibre to spin and knit a toph hat back at my first or second wonderwool a couple of years ago….have I done that yet… oops 🙊 maybe I should get on that soon 🤣
@@YarnNYarns I'm almost a quarter of the way through the Toph hat now, and finding it very addictive. I'm wondering whether it might be going to be a bit big for me, which is totally my own fault for refusing to swatch for anything smaller than a jumper, but I'm sure it will fit someone. And then I'll have an excuse to make another Woolly Wormhead hat for myself.
Hello Ange! How are you? My vote is the Heritage Harbour, but both are lovely so I can't wait to see how you get on! It's lovely to see you. I hope that you and your family are well! Sending hugs. Thank you for another fun video- they are all good projects, I can't wait to see how you get on. I'm working on two of my 12 Cast Ons - a shawl (from yarn I bought a long time ago), and a crochet top. See you soon, take care!
Thank you so much we’re all plodding along taking things one day at a time, hugs are always gratefully received. You are doing so well with your cast ons cant wait to hear how much progress you make. Sending love and hugs back to you xx
My vote is for the last long cardigan (I suspect, however, that the more colourful heritage harbour will be the winner!). I cast on a DRK everyday sock yesterday and hope to stick with it to completion (I have been very easily distracted of late, so who knows!). This is my first Andrea Mowry pattern; I’m not at all sure about having a textured sole and I don’t usually go for toe up socks, so this could be interesting - on the plus side a ball of yarn, which I’ve ignored for years, has made it out of the bottom stash drawer. I hope your family situation comes to a satisfactory resolution and you have a happy May.
The last long is getting quite a few votes so far so it could be a close call. I hope you have fun with your new sock and yay for using deep stash that’s always really satisfying. Hope you have a great making month 🧡
My vote is for the Heritage Harbour! Otherwise, looking like an exciting month ahead and hope all goes well with the family member, or they are on a path to recovery :)
My vote is for Lastlong. I remember seeing that when it came out and I wanted to knit it! Currently working on a Galanta Vest -- not one of my 12 cast ons -- I got busy with other things and had to put it on pause but I am ready to finish -- I should be finished by this weekend. Next 12 cast on project I plan on working on is Stephen West's Wooly Waffle shawl.
Yes you can of course, thank you so much. If you could let me know your Instagram or Ravelry name or email address so I have an easy way to contact you when your name pops up that would be amazing. If you do t want to share here please feel free to email me yarnnyarns@yahoo.com
Hi Ange. Hope there is chance at things get better in your family soon. I vote for nutiden cardigan. I have a selfish intrest in it 😅 If it gets picked, I am allowing myself to cast on a new project in nutiden. If not, I am going to knit a gnome for my doughter. Can be I do both. And that is my "You Tube Pick". For "neck" I am going to try and knit some on my Geogradient shawl. Maybe...🥴 Random number generator has picked Soldotna for me and I hope to finish it this month. For Weaving, I am going to decorate little box I use for cable stoppers. It is not really fiber craft but it is related to knitting, isn't it?
I love your project picks, especially the little box for your cable stoppers that sounds fabulous. Hehe well Heritage Harbour is winning the vote so far but it’s quite close so I say cast on with nutiden anyway 😆😆 Thank you so much for the well wishes for my family 🧡
Maybe “shoulders” would do instead of neck. I still have 3 of my 12 cast ons on the needles but am determined to see them through. My monthly knitting gets determined by what birthdays fall in the month. Not that easy as 3 times as many are Jan-July and only 10 for the remainder of the year. I guess I would pick the Heritage project as broken rib or brioche is very time consuming. Like to give you at least a fighting chance :-)
Thank you so much that is a great idea. Ooh you have some lucky friends and family to be getting handmade gifts. I hope you manage to get all of the birthdays covered . I’m here cheering you on 😃🧡
