The Black-and-Gold Lance goes on a 2-day medieval military adventure, reenacting a knight and his retinue during the Hundred Years’ War who have been dispatched to guard a frontier road and hunt the local forests for bandits and poachers that have made their dens in the nearby caves. We marched 4 miles with 7 people in varying levels of armor with a full baggage train in tow, making camp for the night and continuing on the next day.
In this final episode of a three-part series, our journey winds to an end as we establish our encampment, pitch a period tent, light a fire with flint & steel, cook medieval food, and do some camp defense & night patrolling before breaking camp and heading back to civilization.
