The Victoriano López School of Music is a secondary education institution in Honduras dedicated to music teaching. Located in the city of San Pedro Sula, it represents one of the most important artistic training centers for Honduran society because it is one of the few formal teaching centers of classical music in Honduras. It was founded in 1945 as the Academy of Music, the result of the vision and work of Victoriano López and the Board of Directors of the Academy of Music today the Philharmonic Foundation of San Pedro Sula. It offers its students a five-year study program aimed at instrumental specialization and providing the necessary training for its graduates to work as chamber musicians, orchestra and soloists as well as pedagogues once they have obtained the Baccalaureate in Music that is endorsed by the Ministry of Education of Honduras.
