Per your Instagram comment I just watched this - definitely going to up my protein intake ASAP and shoot for at least .8g per lb of body weight and see how that feels in the context of my daily diet/lifestyle.....

As someone who has always been hitting the 1 gram/lb goal, (and suffering on the grocery budget because of it) what do you think of studies that say your max ratio for building muscle is 0.7?

Hi Marcus I love your content really really much!! My weight is 119 lbs…i would like to get more muscel, lean muscel and get a bit leaner in general, my bodyfat is around 13-14%. My calories I‘m taking are around 1500-1650. so I‘m a bit confused how I can get my results. I think I‘m eating not enough because I‘m always or most of the time really hungry but at the same time I‘m scared to eat more or I don‘t know what I should eat. Maybe you can help me or give me some advise. Sorry for my english I‘m from switzerland😅✌🏼greetings martina

Swiss represent, love that If youre eating so little, dont be scared, just eat more. And if you just wanna lose weight, eat cucumber and vegetables (low calories)

Does that mean that when taking in too much protein in one meal, the excess shouldn’t count towards the daily target since it’s not being used for muscle building?

Ive been eating 225g a protein a day vs recommended maximum of 175g per day (2.5g protein/kg body weight) and I read that's bad for liver so i'm gonna go down but i have NO idea what to fill the calories with because I am very close to 40 40 20 macro ratios

Being a bigger guy can be hard but I usually get my protein in at aroud 220-230 grams per day

So much MALARKEY. The most ANYONE -- including bodybuilders -- "need" per day is about ONE GRAM pre kilogram of body weight. Beyond that practically evrything gets converted to glucose and fat.

I don’t weight myself often. I lift 4-5 times a week. When I do weigh myself, I notice I’m always at set weight. Is this a good thing? Will increased protein help lean out on the scale? I’m at 0.8 per body weight target

It depends on your goals. If you stay the same weight and you are happy with where you are, then you are crushing it! Increasing your protein will help you get to a better body composition as long as you are putting the hard work in the gym and staying consistent with movement.
