We finished our two week cruise on this ship a few days ago. It was a great first-time cruise experience. Like you say, the cruise staff are very friendly and helpful. The shows were very professional. Sometimes the cast would wait by the exits so you could complement them on a great show. The cruise directors Phil and Liam were a great laugh on their dedicated cruise news tv channel "CDTV".
I’m really pleased to hear that you had a great cruise. You’re quite correct in saying that Marella are a great choice for a first cruise as their ships are the perfect size and the entertainment is excellent. I really enjoyed chatting to the cast members after the shows, it’s just something that you can’t do on other cruise lines.
