I could listen to Margaret Thatcher all day. She is probably the most logical person I have ever heard speak. I’m from Scotland and most people here hate her but that’s because our education system is devoid of a good understanding of economics. What a shame. Rest in peace!

she was always so diplomatic in her replies, though exceedingly difficult it must have been for her.

This is what you call a leader. Who do we have now? Miliband? Cameron? Nothing on the stye of leadership Thatcher had. Whatever people's opinions are, this is what the UK needs right now!

I thought her explanation of "the west" falling behind economically due to our refusal to embrace new technologies was also very convincing. I wish more people would understand the "buy local" concept as well.

Brilliant interviews. Maggie was clearly real and genuine in her beliefs, communicating them with such elegance - compared with today's career politicians she seems like a breath of fresh air, sadly now in the past. If only she hadn't given over power to the banks! It's strange that she did that given the rhetoric in the interviews - it seems her heart was in the right place, but maybe should have studied engineering to really understand what policies to introduce...

The professor and the woman in the red, when talking to Mrs. Thatcher about job creation, sounded as though they thought jobs could just be legislated in to existence. Thankfully on the other hand, Mrs. Thatcher was trying with all her might to explain to them that if British industry isn't competitive, they would start failing, and if they start failing jobs would not come. Just like she said, if Britons don't buy British products, why should other people?

Her breadth of knowledge was incredible, these days we just hear evasion and bluster. She didn’t flinch when confronted. What a woman.

I do think it's harsh the abuse she recieved in death. And this is coming from a Sheffielder who's industries were decimated.

The days when a politician (Thatcher and Reagan) cared about taxes on the working class. Those days are long gone.

Yes, I've not got to the second interview yet but she comes across particularly well in the first one - straightforward, talking 'micro', and without being condescending. It definitely seems she lost it somewhat in her last few years in power.

Yes! It's a dependancy mentality that the government is the solution to everyone's problems. It is not. IT IS NOT THE ROLE OF THE GOV'T TO CREATE JOBS. It is the role of the Gov't to create opportunity- an atmosphere of enterprise large and small where the little guy can make something of himself. The best way to do that is to relieve taxes and regulations on businesses. Let business leaders run their business and stay out of the way. Lady T was absolutely right.

What makes you think I pointed out her use of that word to suggest it was derogatory? I merely pointed out she used the word. Why project onto my comment, five words they might merely be, that I was suggesting it was derogatory? However, since you brought it up, why then did an official in the Japanese embassy in London write The Spectator indignant at the use of the word in an article in the publication?

Microsoft hires these many employees and so these employees now can have a retirement plan and be considered as Citizens of so and so country. Basically professions and job security, limited amount of job spaces and being careful with who prioritize such as go with strong candidates first but hey certain looks have been already disabled so I will go with the ones that aren't which what they did pretty much. As far as analysts one could question the integrity of those which means go with height guarantees to succeed if u can walk.
