@@andysedgley It was very unparliamentary language and made her look a complete prat, but Tarzan was actually Heseltine's nickname in the Commons. It dates back to the 70s, from an incident where Heseltine was (quite rightly) upset that the Labour government had cheated with the vote pairing system, but didn't express his anger in the most becoming way (he grabbed the mace off the table and went for the front bench!). Can't imagine any current MPs doing that, but I'd love to have seen it!

I can tell you exactly how. Labour has had women only shortlists of candidates and militant groups have taken over moderate local groups. Her constituency is one with a high proportion of immigrants so, at election time Labour Party a will collect the voting cards from the people who have no idea of what a democratic, free election is and vote on their behalf. After the last but one election there were six prosecutions for that crime, only in Labour constituencies.

Dianne Abbott was the first black woman to become an MP. She was a trailblazer and deserves to be allowed to run as an MP if she so wishes. After careful consideration Starmer made the correct decision. Labour aren’t as ruthless as the Tories. This may make them more vulnerable at the ballot box. But there’s more important issues than this and with a 20 per cent lead in the polls the dithering shouldn’t cost them many votes. The opponents of Labour are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Tory infighting is far more significant.

Abbott is one of the reasons, we need to set terms on how many parliaments/ governments an mp can be part of. It should be limited to 3 before they have to take the same 3 away from all forms of public office. Listen to Abbot on Desert Island Discs talking about when she was in Primary School. In Primary School how she, Abbot wrote these wonderful stories and how she got wonderful high marks. On her words my stories were famous and renowned. Her teacher had given her a fail because she believed Abbot had copied the story from another text. Abbot you can see brought up the story to not only talk about how clever and wonderful she was but also to cast aspersions, notably that her teacher was clearly racist. Diane Abbot is a dangerous awful human being.
