Thank you, Marie....I was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years and I FULLY agree. It’s much, much, much easier to work than be a housewife! But I’m grateful I didn’t miss one single moment with my kids.
What an interesting clip especially as they have now remarried. Age has a way of giving us insight & wisdom into things we may not have realized in our youth
I'm grateful they got back together again. They are a beautiful couple. Marie's talent and genuine love of family and fans can't help but bring absolute love and caring to her from devoted fans! But usually that love and caring includes all her family!⚘ When she is happy, it makes me happy... when her heart hurts, my heart hurts for her!💜
Wow, what an interesting interview. Thanks for posting this, Dave. Near the end, she says, "When I'm 60 years old..." That's the age she is now. Praise God that Marie & Steve found love again and were given a chance to finish what they started.

I'm from New Zealand, I saw with members of my family in circa 1983/1984 Donny and Marie in Auckland New Zealand, at the Auckland Town Hall. It was a wonderful show, and their was a slide show, I think, or maybe a photo, of Steven, being their child. It's sad to watch this, in a way, but insightful none the less. My sympathies, I have to say are with Marie seeing this clip.
Lots of pride in her work. Even today, she speaks so much about how long she has worked. She has never quit. With fame, lots of sacred things are sacrificed. I’m glad I was never famous. I think when we are young, many of us wish for fame, but it comes with its price. I’m certain it would have been no different for most of us. By the Grace of God….
What a beautiful young woman Marie Was. My granddaughter Jade is the spitting image of a young Marie. So glad Marie and Steve are married again. God bless them both. Have loved the Osmonds since I was a young girl.
I feel so sad for Marie and Steve, that they lost all those years. Clearly her second marriage was not happy, and she admits that now. Sometimes in youth we don't have the strength, maturity, and confidence to leave an unhappy situation. Eventually, she figured it out and went after what she wanted.
I have always felt that I had so much in common with Marie...My daughters B-day is 4-20-80, and at the time I thought I had heard news that she also had a baby girl on 4-20-80, it must have been a weird dream, Steven was born on 4-20....My late husband was born under the Covenant in S.L.C Utah and has never been on a Mission, he said his whole life was a Mission. Since he passed I have been to the Temple but am now what you might call a "Jack Mormon". When I first met him, he told me he was Mormon (like the Osmonds) but until then I only knew them as a very devout family.
I love the "Older Video Clips Publishing" that Dave Osmond organizes...! Are you Alan & Suzanne Osmond's 4th son..? Or has there been a "David Osmond" namesake in the family since Alan's son..? This is particularly sweet of Marie & Steve ; since they wisely re-united...! I attended an Osmond Bros concert in Denver, Colorado approx 1973 or 1974 held at the Denver Coliseum where our annual January Stock Show Rodeo was always held. It was a FRENZY - & for 50 % of the concert it was tough to hear Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay & Donny sing & play their instruments over the preteen & teen gals swooning & screaming... very Beatles-Mania like - & only a decade after teenyboppers swooned over the Beatles in Europe & USA...! Yes - the stars of the show would holler out to us : are you having fun...? Do you know any song about : Young Love ; or about Puppy Love ...? Haha... keeping us engaged & responding to them...! I can't believe that my conservative Mother enabled us to get a ticket for me & for her. I don't remember if I had a same-age gal-pal there ( I am 61, born a few weeks after Marie Osmond...). I think my Mom was just so happy to that there was a popular Rock Group with wholesome / family-oriented values - it was fine with her that posters of Donny were plastered all over my bedroom...! - & yes - when I began to date 3 years later ; sadly- the Donny posters had to come down, or "potential boyfriends" were offended...! But, uniquely : I was a fan who was happy to hear that Donny found Debbie Glenn. BTW : Did Debbie really sew Donny a quilt, prior to their marriage : as reported in either 16 Magazine or Tiger Beat...? Were Olive & Debbie's mother actually "acquaintances" or "Mormon-Mom Friends" - when Jay & Donny were dating Debbie..? One always wonders if stories from the Teenybopper magazines are contrived - or real.... from one of your Osmond Family Life-Time Fans : Terri - Colorado
From the interview I suspect Steve’s lack of income was a problem. I’m still not sure what he’s done for a living situation since then. I’ve heard he’s been involved with multi-level marketing, which is no good.
I read back then that HE was a womanizer and Marie had enough , I'm sure he never got married again, to keep that lifestyles ,HOPEFULLY he outgrew that and realizes what a gift Marie really is.
