I remember in 1984 just how controversial this song was. People claimed she was "promoting promiscuity" and that she was setting our girls up to be "soul sucking sex witches" (whatever that means lol). Marina explained 100 times over that this song was just satire, but none of the adults listened. I remember I had to listen to her songs in secret because my parents HATED her. I cried when they found my Marina tapes and made me throw them away :(. Thank God for RU-vid because I haven't heard this song in years! Marina was everything in the 80s. I wonder what ever happened to her...

I love when some RU-vid channels use a pretty quick decent tempo, while other people make a slower rythm, and I prefer fast up-beat arrangements. The only slow music I accept is the stripped versions that artists and bands make, like a kind of wind and watery lo-fi vibe 🌬️🎶💧
