My Marineland Aquarium Heater review is 4 stars. These heaters are descent quality and will heat a bit more than what they say. I’ve fully tested this heater and I’m satisfied. The Marineland aquarium heaters come with built in thermostats that you set to the temp you need for your aquarium.
Figure on needing 5 W of aquarium power to every 1 gallon of aquarium water you have. So if you have a 10 gallon aquarium you are going to need 50 W worth of energy in an aquarium heater. It’s always a safe bet to get a little larger have an aquarium heater that way it’s going to not work as hard to heat the water in your fish tank.
