He missed the fireball by two pixels with a frame perfect left tap and perfect sub pixel positioning from the door transition, absolutely legendary.

I had a high school teacher who, as a kid, got their hand stuck in a meat grinder and lost all four fingers past the big knuckles and half of his thumb. Back then his family didn't have money for doctor visits, so they just kept it as clean as they could and bandaged, and he lived. That is to say, if you don't lose all of your blood or let your blood get infected, you have a pretty good chance of living through amputation.

I’m watching you do 8-1 and I’m thinking: given that 8-1 and 8-2 fit the themes of the first two worlds, do you think the smb3 devs’ plan originally was to make “dark” versions of levels that would be in the other worlds (a dark underwater level for 8-3, a dark big level for 8-4, etc), but maybe they just ran out of time or space? I’ve never been able to officially confirm this theory anywhere, but it makes sense to me. Thanks and congrats on WR!

For a moment I was wondering why he wasn't running and jumping into the cards at full speed, and I realized it's because he doesn't want to get 3 stars in a row (or any 3 items in a row, but it's easiest to get stars, since all you need to do is run and hit the lower left corner at full speed) because getting rewarded with an item wastes time.

They won't acknowledge that I had the game before anyone else at least a year early but I was a child so six months early and that game was super bad ass and they wanted you to beat the game three times it was super Mario Bros 3 and the second time you were rewarded with all the items and I beat it in under a hour all the time so that makes me a default speedrun champion 🏆 because my game wasn't broken and bowers hit box worked!!

That end fireball. This became the greatest SMB3 Speedrun of all time but could have easily been the biggest choke of all time in an alternate timeline lol. Congrats Mitch!

OMG! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER SEEN ANYONE USE HAMMER SUIT ON BOWSER! I've been advocating for this to be a speed strat for the last 10 YEARS!!!! YAY btw you can kill bowser even faster than that if your hammer accuracy is 100% ;) but only by about a half second ;)

If you want to wash a fresh tattoo with soap use unscented dove bar soap. Also some ppl say don't use a&d ointment but I used it for all of my tattoos and they turned out great
