3DS is pretty darn amazing.

There is something really magical about the SNES one.

Wii rainbow road will always stand first for me out of all the rainbow roads. Mkwii was my first mario kart game, so I have a lot of nostalgia with it. I don't see why everyone is complaining about the holes, I never had a problem with them...

Mario kart wii's rainbow road is the hardest one out there. The railings don't help you, but make you bounce off into the abyss.

N64 and GCN would be the two standout's for me, brings back dem feels!

I can't decide which one is best! The SNES one is very catchy, but it doesn't have the "magical" feel that the others have. One the other hand, I love the DS version, but it might just be the nostalgia kicking in. The Wii and 3DS versions were great and the N64 version was a classic and my head is about to explode.

I love the SNES theme because it gave me the feeling about that was the ultimate challenge. It was suitable music for the last track of the game.

GBA Rainbow Road should be in Mario kart 9 in the future

Mario Kart 7 is definitely my favorite still for the moment. We'll see how it stacks up when 8 is out.

The n64 has that relaxing feel to it but gcn is awesome as well

Wii was the first MARIO kart I ever had

In order of appearance: SNES: Tough as nails, even after 13 years, especially in 150cc! Them NPCs cheat! Theme is synonymous with rage and hate. N64: Pretty simplistic, but that epic jump is so fun! Chain Chomps kinda suck. Nothing too challenging. Theme is calming and easy going, like the level. Super Circuit: Alas, I've never played this one. Theme is kinda goofy sounding. Double Dash: This is where things get kicking. Level is generally pretty safe, but there are a couple nasty turns in there. Theme is very upbeat and peppy, very bright and chipper. The kind of thing you can bob to while going through the level. DS: Overall kinda eh. Reminds me too much of Double Dash. Theme is kinda eh too. MKWii: A moderately tricky one for people. Rosalina owns this map. Some nasty turns and plenty of opportunity for people to do tricks and/or fall off. Theme is very cool, collected, upbeat, and "go-git-em~!" 3DS: One HELLUVA LEVEL! I love the idea of a linear one-lap race orbiting asteroids and craters. Theme is very trance-ish and overly confident. Definately "go-git-em!"

Is it just me, or does the Wii rainbow road sound like the DS version but more modernized?

I love how the wii version referenced Mario Galaxy since they released around the same time and rosalina was first introduced in Mario kart wii. Most of them have a melody that they share, mk7 and Mk64 for example. I also realized why the SNES version sounds so light: it has no harmonic chords. But I REALLY want a medley of all these themes. Brings back so many memories.

DAMN, nobody remembers that the SNES track was also featured in Super Circuit. The first Mario Kart I owned is the least memorable ever :/ XD

Top 5 Wii,It might not be my favorite but the fast paced music fits the track acutally very well SNES, It's one of those nostalgia bombs again always a delight 7, If you could combine 2 rainbow roads this would be the song that it would be Sweet Double Dash, usually a fan's favorite it just screams amazing and delivers bigtime N64, Mainly due to nostalgia reasons I always go into tears of joy whenever I hear this always remembering my childhood

There's something about the shape of the Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 64 that looks awesome

oh and for you people that dont have mario kart 8 they have 2, yes, *TWO* rainbow roads! and the "remake" of the 64 one there now is a loop-de-loop, and dont boost on the one in the special cup (the N64 remake is in the lightning cup)
