As cool as it sounds, a 3D Mario Maker is sadly very unlikely to happen since levels would probably be way too hard to create for the average player. (I'll come back to this comment if Nintendo proves me wrong)

I think that 3d world style would suit very very well for this fantastic idea cause although is a beautiful game it's basically a platform Mario game made in 3d, so it's way more squared, made of cubes etc... that would obviously ease the creation of the levels in a game like that :)

This is genuinely what I expected Mario Maker 2 to be, which is partly why I was disappointed in it (that and that there wasn’t enough new content for me to really consider it a sequel or think it was worth the upgrade from the first game, and also not having amiibo costumes.)

I just want a mario maker game where its as flexible as editing levels in real Mario games. Stuff like proper world maps, camera controls, collectables, warps. All of those are pretty limited in SMM2 compared to the actual games. And of course many course elements are missing compared to the base games (even a few SMB1 things are missing).

Magikooper skins: Magigoombas - When jumped on, it will either turn into a mushroom or explode into four Goombas Magipokey - Can shoot spikes that could either be on fire (damage), frozen (freezes you), toxic (drains health) or rainbow (invincibility) Magithwomp - When it falls down, it explodes into two different thwomps going sideways Magihammer - When the hammers land on the floor, they explode Magimoles - Will pop out and will throw either a Bob-omb or a Magigoomba at you Magibowser - Will either throw Bob-ombs, hammers, Bullet Bills or shoot fire at you.

Yahoo indeed! Haha, for the first few seconds I accidentaly thought I was watching SMG4 because I just watched the recent video from him 😆. Anyway ye-heah, like focusing on the 3D, like it could say the "Super Mario Maker!" thing, and then instead of 2 it says "3!" but then also ti would be like "D" because like Mario Maker 3 and then like it's 3 Dimensional, I kinda of have an idea of how you did it but am still mind blown and you should make a behind the scenes of it, well this is a nice contrast to the Rejected Updates, both amazing. I also love how in this fake trailer you can get this time hurt each other in versus, since in smm2, you could bounce on each other and pound each other to steal their keys and knock 'em back a little, but now you can actually yeah. Oh yeah and like if in Sunshine and Galaxy you put a yoshi, then well you probably just wouldn't be allowed to play as Yoshi, haha, this was awesome dude! Also off topic but today it's my Dad's birthday.

Right now in my head I was thinking “what if there was a super Mario maker, 3, D? I searched it and found this. This is exactly something I would love!

If that game came, everything it showed can be true. Possibly, all three Super Mario Maker games can be bundled together. If that happened, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, the Olympic Tiara Girl and Plum can be included.

Something I'd recommend is when you're showing the level maker for sm64 at 0:25 you can see the gray default skybox of blender and the selected outline of blender. So I'd recommend turning overlays off and setting the skybox to Bob or blurred bob or something

I think I have a solution for the problem with complexity: a simple mode and a complex mode while building. A simple mode will use the same graph/block building as the first two maker except with vantage points being the xy axis, xz axis and yz axis. It will look more block based and have fewer options for building to reduce complexity with the possibility of it basically being 2.5D world with more stuff. The complex mode will look more like a 3D modeling site/tool which contains custom values for location, minimal/no use of graph like functions and possibly contain a limited script editor.

Rejected idea: Bullseye bowser, he has homing fire balls and is immune to every thing except enemies thrown by super Mario 2 Mario

If they made a Mario Maker with 3D games, I imagine the creator view would have a grid on all solid ground, so placing items/enemies can be assigned to specific starting positions. Could also help with easier terraforming and such

Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy are all bundled together for a remastered 3-D recon. Time for all the Super Mario Galaxy games and all the Luigi's Mansion games to be bundled together.

In fact I had the same idea for a mario maker 3D version I'm so happy that other people thought about it too because it's an idea to let nintendo know. Moreover the idea came to me because I loved 3D mario games such as mario odyssey and I had imagined that we could add blocks in a 3D environment and create our own levels. not gonna lie, i would have fallen for this if not for a few things: - "comment with miiverse" hahaha yeah right :( - the pose mario does during editing mode looks kinda weird - also during editing mode, the icons at the top sometimes have funny backgrounds ...and that's all! very convincing!
