@@joecoolberry911on DK Jungle, any character as a star character can hit a homerun without perfect contact, most notable are Goomba, Toadette, and Toadsworth for me personally, but Baby Mario is also very possible

It's not a glitch, it's a special technique built within the game, and it's called the Superstar Swing. Basically, the Superstar Swing is a swing that happens if you use a star and hit the ball absolutely perfect, and for any character, they will use up all five stars instead and just BOMB the ball out of the ballpark for a home run.
