Am I the only one who thinks that Marion and James kind of look... similar? Like the shape of their faces and eyes, the general proportions. I find them both super-beautiful, but every time I see them side by side it's a little surreal, like they were made using the same mold XD

you can really see in her face when she starts that she is so nervous and still thinks like "shit, what am i doing here?" and when she then gets a little more into it and gets comfortable, you really can see how devoted she is with her lipsync. i was when i just saw the movie a few minutes ago also not really sure if its going to be a good performance but i just clicked it and was amazed, because marion is something else when she plays a role. great choice of a leading role and excellent performance. not that often you see people who act on such a high class level. the way they portrait her in the movie and the way she gives her life to the character..., you see her work of months in it. thanks a lot for such a beautiful performance from all actors and her. it was amazing. gonna rewatch it soon again :D

No offence to Cotillard, but Piaf was the greatest stage presence I've ever seen and that includes Judy Garland, Sammy Davis Jr. and Josephine Baker. Her singing (as great as it was) was only half of it; she lived a life that was almost beyond belief and it showed the minute she walked on stage.
