Victor Chavez he’s fucking trash. Dirk gave him 197 million in career discounts and couldn’t get Dirk shit help and got rid of Nash. He owes Dirk at least 3 more rings.
@@SwayTheBeast those numbers are based on Dirk being signed to a 5 year $239 max contract in 2014 summer. He average 17.3ppg and 5.9rpg on 45% shooting and limited defense. That gets you around $10 million in the open market. At his age no team would offer more than a 2 year $18 million contract (9 million per year). He did take pay cuts for the team to add pieces but it was not as massive as suggested. He got a $25 million on year deal for 2016 which he put up 14 and 6 which is worth about 6 million not 25 million. He got 10 million the last two seasons and production wise it's considered over pay. So no he didn't leave that much money on the table, just because it's a max that a player can sign for doesn't mean the players production equals it. Dirk could have won more titles but he went out of game 6 in 2003 West finals, lost the 06 finals. He finally left the choke title that was associated with him (wrongfully) in 11 championship run. Nash was great in Phoenix but he was largely enhanced by Mike D Antoni free flow system which is doing the exact same thing for Harden. With Nash and Dirk on the roster although good, now you would have two players below the average defense for their position and you would have not won the championship. Keeping Nash would mean no Jason Kidd and no Jason Terry and I would rather have them two than Nash alone. Cuban did cost the Mavericks a 2012 championship run as the thunder who represented the west were really young and could have been defeated by the Mavs if they had retained Chandler who they obtain in 2014 in his last year of his deal with the Knicks and took the NBA champions to 7 games in the first round. So yeah I guess Cuban cost Dallas and Dirk a championship run in 2012 and 2013 all for trying to chase Dwight, LeBron and other guys that were never going to come
@@SwayTheBeast aye big fella. how many rings you got? some players never get a ring. but of course some nobody on the internet would think it is easy to win a chip. Keep typing away and thinking that the NBA is just a game :)
Jar of Smegma You think Dirk only changed the MAVS?? lmaoo He changed the NBA. Thats what hes saying. A kid from Germany came to America and took over one of the biggest US SPORTS
Just think how many offers Dirk must have received over the years and possibly with more chances to win titles but he stayed true and loyal and is a champion and an MVP as a player and a human. What a legend.
Like giving up a $90 million for a $23 million contract to build a team. I love Dirk's mentality and he is what brought me back into watching basketball.
Mark truly exemplifies what an owner should be relationship wise to their players. Mark truly loves and cares for his players and it’s rare as owners only care for their pockets. And dirk truly deserves a statue putting up legendary numbers and to play with one team his entire career is rare.
As a German, I was so fortunate to have lived in Dallas for 5 years, to see Dirk play. For me, he’s the greatest German athlete of all time. But more importantly, the greatest Maverick of all time.
Dirk is all about loyalty, faith, humble...... He cut his pay to make room for other stars and look for future of the team... Unlike any other players who wants only big paycheck.....
@Raphael Peralta Yeah like how Kyrie averaged 26 pts in the playoffs and also btw hit the game winning shot for their championship, face it he was important as well and I said LeBron and Kyrie not only Kyrie so don't get salty.
@@nofallsnoballs21 Maybe the word "only" was not the most appropriate. So I will correct it. Anyway,I didn't say German people is bad . I have jut said that Dirk is the most loved one
@@latortugapicante719 Einstain was (is) highly respected , admired and Science is grateful to him. Dirk is LOVED!! Much LOVED by all basketball funs, all around the world It is just a matter of understanding the word's meaning! Jordan is the GOAT. Kareem,Kobe,LeBron,KD,Dr J. were or are awesome. But they all were-are also hated by some funs, for various reasons. Dirk cannot be hated by even one basketball fun. Can only be loved
While I'm no Dallas Cowboys fan I've always loved the Mavs cause of Dirk and Mark, a legendary player and an owner that genuinely loves his players fans and the game!
MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PLAYER, I JUST LOVE THAT FADE AWAY ITS A ART ITS A MASTERPIECE, LOVE WATCHING MAVS PLAY BECAUSE OF DIRK, & I STATED WATCHING NBA 2010
Not only was Dirk a phenomenal player he embodied all the qualities a sportsman should possess, loyalty and humility being on top of the list. He did it the hard way but it was the right way! Hope today's players will learn something from this legend.
When i was around 9yr old, i saw Dirk Nowitzki on Like Mike, and started to watch his game and idolize him THROUGH ALL of THE YEARS he played in the NBA and with the Mavs.. you are truly be a treasure Dirk! your one step fade away shot will never fade!.
I was so happy that I was able to see dirk play one last time in Brooklyn. My son and I went and if was an amazing game the way the fans cheered him on and wanted him to have the ball. They lost that game, but we were there to see our favorite player one last time.
Love dirk for being humble player never started a fight even he loose his tooth cause of an elbow...u deserve a badass statue in dallas arena for being a loyal dallas player...thats a real goat..
It sucks man. It fucking sucks. Many people like myself growp up with so many great players and we literally worship some of them and now very few are left. I mean after Carter, Parker and LBron retire, thats it, they are all gone for me. I can write books with all the memories and all the excitement i had and felt through so many games. I still love and watch the game but i feel that this is not my generation's players. Now its our turn to tell the stories to our kids about the great players we witnessed. Dirk is a player that i loved and respected but also hated bc he was my team's opponent :) and he was so fucking good. He honoured his team, his country his love for the game and at the end he showed us what loyalty is. Thank u Dirk from the buttom of my heart and wish u all the best in whatever u decide to do in the future. Im preaty sure you will continue to be in this team bc the future star Doncic needs u. Auf wiedersehen my friend.
Man, as a child i watched you play the game in your own special way. You were the very reason why i love the game of basketball and also the reason why i started playing the sport. People had made you one of the most underrated superstars in the game because of criticism. Yet you didn't mind and played the game everyday as if it was your final day, especially in your prime. I couldn't be more happier for you, thank you for inspiring me to never give up and continue to face the bullshits of life chest out facing up. Your no.1 fan from the Philippines (Pasig) -Miguel-
I take back when i wrote 'DIRT No-wit ski' on my tshirt 10 years ago during the playoffs when they played my team 😭 You don't deserve no hate you faithful ol gentle giant I'd burn that shirt if i ever saw it again which I doubt I'd ever find it again
Great career, Dirk! As a motivational speaker and coach, I know the importance of passion! Nowitzki always played with a heart full of passion for wow'ing audiences with his talent! !
Mark Cuban is 60 turning 61 this year lol. His personality, hair and skin make him look like he is in his late 40s. And they say money can't buy you time.
Marc Cuban hat alles richtig gemacht und ihn machen lassen (!) Toller Typ. Mir egal, was manche verlautbaren. Herr Cuban hat Vertrauen in ihn, den großen Dirk Nowitzki gehabt
