Fun fact! The reason they gave you only free desserts is because normally waiters are in charge of making their own desserts and side salads or salads without protein, so there’s no middle man preparing your food (eg. cooks preparing dinners or apps.) So that would be the easiest thing they could offer you for free without having to ring in the item and potentially pay for it themselves. 🙂 still a very kind and generous gesture on their part.

@@dragonscales2758 yes but New Zealand and Australia are relatively close. They were over there for the Australian tour so that's what he meant when he generalized both Auckland and Australia being hot. Could also be that one of them remembered incorrectly, given the tour was so chaotic
i think it was probably just bunching new zealand and australia together because i think most people tend to do that since they hit a lot of australian locations but its usually just auckland if they come to nz. if i wasnt from auckland id probably make the same mistake LOL
Bruh, I’m Australian. NZ is significantly cooler and is an entirely different country. OP was pointing it out cause the weather in Australia shouldn’t impact Auckland that much. I get that the guys meant to say NZ but that’s like saying the hottest day in China while being in Tokyo
I fr had a dinner at fridays with my family as a kid, and I went to the bathroom before dessert came, and I got the cup of dirt (the oreo pudding thing with the gummy worms) and when I came back I found out my dad ate mine and when i tried to order another, the waitress had to come back to tell us that there were no more and that was the last one and I NEVER FORGOT

the thing i love most about distractible is that it really does just show that they’re just people in the world like everyone else. theyre these big well known faces but at the end of the day they’re all still just friends that hang out and have fun together. they arent so concerned with being professional and well presented. they can just goof off and we love them for that.
Australia can be too hot Here in Victoria we almost hit 50 degrees (48 technically) and it wildly hot that you have to be inside, but people still go to work, with or without air conditioner. Summer month in AU is December to Febraury

Deserts are all well and good but can you imagine someone thinking... Mark tries to eat healthy. And he walks into like cracker barrel and they give him several extra helpings of the green beans. This is coming from the perspective of a health eater. I desperately wish restuarants would offer sides that were more than 6 broccoli florrets when i can get an order of frie the size of both my fists
