I didn't see this movie until it was shown on TV. Even on the small screen it was stunning The cinematography was unrivaled, and the casting brilliant.

The imagery and feel of the film has stayed with me for forty years now. It's just so different...and the score is stupendously good.

I watched 'Walkabout' on TV when I was a teenager and later again on TV when I was a young adult. I was so impressed that I tried to register the story from memory on writing and following the exact cronology. I've already watched the director's cut edition. It is a masterpiece.

Loved this film since they showed us it at school in the early 80s during some downtime at the close of the school year. I still find the ending where her experience is compared to her eventual domesticity quite haunting.

I liked it a lot, the way they put their uniforms back on when they are heading back to civilisation.

Good review the character played by Jenny has a special significance for me I'm that she closely resembles in form and character someone from my very own 'Blue Remembered Hills'
