Today I sit down with Troy Van Leeuwen, Brian Klein and Rich Machin to discuss the 20th Anniversary of Mark Lanegan's masterpiece Bubblegum which just got a super deluxe boxset release.
Everyone that loves Mark absolutely loves the Bubblegum album so it was amazing to see a full on deluxe treatment of the album get released recently with all kinds of bonus content including a book and rare hotel demos.

Boxset of the 4 vinyl sold out in 24 hours. I didn't know about it till a day later. Its a crime they didn't press more!! So wrong !!

Disagree with the comment that bubblegum is the high water mark of his output. He has brilliance across all of his releases including his gutter twins and soulsavers output. No one album is better than the next. However I would say that when the Houston publishing demos came out it threw us back to this period of his career and reminded that his sound at that time was wonderful. The same happened with these new XX demos. The fans love that sound time but the songs he’s written have been excellent across his life.
