I feel like he would be more likely to make a dirty joke like right before climax he asks: what did the incel feed their dog? And then him cumming is the punchline lol then he says comedy as the post coital sobriety creeps in.
@@acapella6241 He's more like a dirtier Seinfeld. Mitch specialized in absurd one-liners and relied heavily on wordplay. Marks style is a lot closer to classic comedy. Mitch's delivery is one of a kind. I disagree with John that Mark is one of a kind, unless he means it in the sense that a steak is one of a kind of meat. Mark is very much a New York comic, bing bang boom, setup, punch, setup, punch. He's for sure found his voice, it just turns out that it's pretty similar to a lot of New York comics. Closer to Attell without the braggadocios bent or as I mentioned Seinfeld leaning hard into blue material. Hedberg - spelled with an "e", not a "u", you uncultured swine, stands among Steven Wright as one of the greatest abstract absurdist comics. Mark is a lot more grounded in reality. I think Mark is hilarious, but to sarcastically compare him to Mitch is way off. However if you disagree I'd be interested to hear your take in more detail.
Mark is doing everything perfectly like he's a 90s comedian but he's using all the routes 2021 supplies him. It's insane how much better he is at this stuff than everyone else. Enjoy this creative content while we got it. Looking back at these years we will remember this shit fondly so enjoy it now!
If you have watched enough of his stuff it’s incredible to see how he has perfected and worked on each joke. Shows how hardworking he is on his craft he really is one of the best in the game
The word genius is being used very liberally but he’s very clever. I think he’s a hard working committed comedian that hits the mark and knows the limit and when to push it. I’m a huge fan I just see the word genius being thrown around way too much. Geniuses are often horrid people to be around and cannot articulate.
@@evangelionl0vr857 I think he's in his prime right *now*, but I don't see any reason for him not to send it to another level from here! I mean he's not even at his 20 year mark yet, and a lot of the greatest comics reach their very best between 20 and 25. Can't wait to see what he does in his next tour or two.

Mark Normand is the absolute best, I'm so glad he has been starting to get the recognition through RU-vid that he has deserved for so long. The hardest working comedian in the biz
Making analogies is like the backbone in comedy, since that's the whole purpose of comedy itself : making a point that tickles. And Mark is so good at it, he made it look easy.
I like how forgivable Mark is. He's like a whimsical, curious kid observing this crazy world. So if he finds a unique connection between two random things and vocalizes an offensive finding, he can say, "I know, I know... I'm workin on it" and everyone loves him.
Sure, Mark's got well-crafted jokes, impeccable timing, perfect delivery. But he's not only a comedian's comedian, he's the comedian for the masses. There's no topic too obscure for him to not explore. Love him.
love how this shows how much comedy is a craft that takes a lot of time, effort and failures but your willingness to make it something enjoyed by many definitely is shown in this. Keep going mate, love your comedy.

Mark is funny as hell. I find a joke funny for a long time, so I'm still laughing at his early material. Life hasn't been kind to me the last few years, so thanks for the laughs Mark 🤣🤣🤣
Truly one of the best. Side note: Mark’s talent, wit, and inappropriateness are why we love him, but it was kind of nice to see a more serious side of him in this one. Like a true artist discussing his craft (as pretentious as that sounds). Anyway, this is great! Keep doing your thing. We love you!
I absolutely consider Mark Normand my favorite comedian right now. I just love the way his brain works, and his delivery is top notch. This video was great, seeing a breakdown of how comedy is actually created is really nice, because to me and probably to a lot of others stand up comedy seems like this mystical intangible thing people are just magically capable of doing or not, rather than a skill that can be improved and honed.
This is such a great video. Makes me realize one of the reasons I’m such a big Mark fan is I always put everything into analogies on a day-to-day basis and have been called out for it lol.
Crafting a joke is the perfect expression and Mark is indeed willing to keep working and striving hard until it is right. Watching his videos doesn't give me the right to judge him, because I'll probably never meet him and I am pretty sure that I'll never get to know him. That's why I can only assume that he doesn't like to be complimented. Should it be true I only want to say: Thank you very much Mark.
Analogy was one of my first lesson as a human baby and ever since has been my most favourite lesson. A good analogy can explain complicated things easily, a good analogy can make you feel less dumb in an instant! You go Kevin Hart!!

I have checked out the channel making this video. This is his first video and his first is with Mark. Such honor for Mark to take his RU-vid virginity.
I went to see Mark in Ohio, after hearing him on the radio and TV, he is for sure the best comedian around. We laughed the whole time and after the show, we got to meet him and take a picture with him. If he comes to a city near you, you should go see him you won't be disappointed.
