Why does he deserve to succeed? He took every single shortcut there was, and was incredibly naive on top of it all.

@@wintermute8315 Because the show never indicates that he's a bad or lazy writer. He just was naive in seeking a publisher.

Probably something to do with flooding everything out and making use of what's left after. The Nile floods on a cycle, which turns soil, which renews fertile land. It can sort of compare to viral marketing but in truth viral marketing is more about finding a niche

I think that's the point. Mark always regretted not doing History at university but tried to reconcile it with the fact he did business management by linking the two, despite the fields bearing almost no relation.

Let me get this clear: you think that the ancient Egyptians had no need for currency and that there were no such things as "business plans". Because somehow the concept of private property did not exist for these primitives, despite existing in every major civilisation in their area at the time. And you also think that metaphorical comparison and analogy are not possible ways to connect the subjects in question.
