So long, Surfin Sahara!
When a Jeep like this pops up as available, it’s almost a no brainer. Jack was looking for a different vehicle anyways, after discovering the tweaked frame in the Sahara, so the timing couldn’t have been any better.
Enzo texted me the photos of this Jeep and I couldn’t let Jack know fast enough. I basically told him he would be stupid to not buy this. We all did. A rust free, California legal v8 yj, with 37K original miles, and in MINT condition, for $3500….. these deals almost don’t exist.
Sure, we have some work to do, but we all do the work together and we really enjoy it, so that’s not a problem. On the next episode with this Jeep, we’ll get the motor pulled apart, we’ll get everything replaced, and then get it running and set the timing.
Hands down, Jack is going to have the nicest Jeep in the fleet, and if he ever decides to sell it, he is going to find out that this thing is worth a LOT more than he paid for it.
