Does he think everyone is just watching his little inset rather than than the actual gameplay? Seems like an easy choice to keep the game looking awesome 🤦♂️
@@rileywalker3467 According to Oliver Starr, who has raised dozens of wolves and did field work for Yellowstone wolf reintroduction: Do not try to "stare the animal down" Wolves appear to regard a direct stare as a challenge or a threat Do not turn your back on the animal (s). If multiple wolves are threatening you some of them may try to flank you. Try to make yourself appear large. If you have a jacket or shirt on, raise it above your head. Shout at the animals. If you can do so without making yourself vulnerable grab a few stones and throw them at the animals. Back slowly away.
It’s like dogs, if you’re afraid of an off-leash dog that’s running around, don’t run from it, it, it’ll chase you, even dogs that aren’t aggressive will chase you because they think you want to play I had a golden retriever that would accidentally scare kids in our neighborhood sometimes because they’d run away when they saw her, and she’d happily chase them thinking they wanted her to play 😅
"Amy hates this-" The fact that Amy hates it only makes me wonder how many times Mark has asked Amy/planned/explained his way of survival to Amy to the point of her hating it
In a bunch of Mark’s videos, he says he has ADHD, but I don’t think I’ve actually been able to notice it until this video. Like bro, this entire video relates so hard. From putting too much effort into odd hypotheticals to being stressed over the smallest stuff, I felt all of it
I don’t even think there’s been lag, render lag is a different thing than actual lag. It’s backlogging all of the frames that are being rendered for a recording and using as much of the GPU as possible to keep up. It’s just stressful to watch it happen live because it looks laggy as heck at times.
Looking back, this was when mark started writing and perfecting in space with markiplier, right. It makes a lot of sense for him to be stressed about stuff like incorrect capturing when it should be working just right.
He'll never see this comment, but it's dropping frames because he's recoding using his GPU while the game has an uncapped framerate allowing it to use 100% of the GPU with a higher priority. He needs to cap the game's framerate in the Nvidia Global 3D Settings. Could also get a separate PC for recording the gameplay or use a capture card to offload the work. Disabling vsync is also a good idea to avoid input lag.
actually he just needed to run obs in high priority because default is like normal or above normal, by doing that the game (could) lag but obs wouldn't at all
@@defiantgg1831yeah the problem is he dont want the cpu doing the rendering he want it done with gpu which is why he loses his shit when seeing he only gets 11% of the gpu dedicated for obs Also i believe he limit the fps on his recording not the game itself
siberian guy: "the wilderness is messing with my sanity." markiplier: "nobody gives a shit. you don't realize the pain of capturing a video!!!!" me: ".....damn...tha-...thats rough." 😢
Me who's youtube auto selects 480p and I never notice. 17:59 That explains it. Most of my games look like, or are from, 2003. Lens flare and bloom can go on somewhere.
Me: **Just wanting to watch Mark play this game, doesn't even notice the lag** Mark: **Screaming for over half the video** "MY FRAMES GUYS MY FRAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!!" Also I love that Mark put his 'Happy Music' Outro when this turned out to be kind of like a horror game in the end XD
I had the OBS issue as well, if you run OBS as admin, it will reserve whatever resources it needs to run smoothly and the lag will go away, even while gaming. Please like so mark can see this :)
Give a Farmer Seeds and he'll create Food, give a musician a melody and he'll create Music, give a Soldier and enemy and he'll create nothing. He only destroys, kills...
@Joe Mama I’m afraid that when I die. God will care about the things I’ve done. But I’m more afraid that he won’t. That he’ll just sit there, twiddling his thumbs, barely able to summon the energy to judge me.
@@inceptionova3006 People tell me to fear hell, but there comes a point when you've done such awful things, you don't know if the devil will welcome you as a friend when you arrive. Truth is, I don't believe in anything anymore...
Guy in the game: *Losing sanity because he is all alone in the wilderness with animals trying to kill him* Mark: *Losing his mind because frame rate bad* :(
funnily enough i remember him saying 'I'M NO MASOCHIST' in a different video then us seeing promptly why that is a LIE. hmmmm seems weird it happened TWICE, sir
I like how Markiplier starts this by saying his worst fear is being naked in the Siberian wilderness but by the end he realizes his worst fear is OBS not working. We love character growth
(replying for visibility) MARK PLEASE JUST USE THE NVENC ENCODER! There's that big graph in taskmgr for 'Video Encode' and it's at 0% because you're using the slow software encoder! Go to OBS Encoder Settings and pick a hardware encoder like NVENC, Quicksync, or VCE! You can also raise or lower bitrate & encoding quality
Mark starting videos then: Hello everybody! My name is Markiplier! Mark starting videos now: *hey have you ever imagined you were instantly transported to the siberian wilderness*
its honestly kinda a weird thing. when you're used to one thing and you get ANYTHING less or worse than that, its the difference of night and day. it can make for some awkward moments of ... Privilege and seeming ... spoiled. i can notice the difference between 60 fps and anything less than 60fps easy. im sure that can apply too with higher frame rates. its kinda like how people were so upset about the shrinkflation on Big Macs, but some people just ... never ate big macs so they didn't care lol. or notice. [edit: typo]
Mark I've found that running OBS as an admin allows it to prioritize gpu utilization over something like a game, which means that it wouldn't have as many problems with recording. Like this so that Mark can see this. Also in task manager set obs's priority as real-time and the game at some value less than that. You change priority by right-clicking on an item in task manager, clicking go to details, then right-clicking the program under details and selecting change priority.
Mark: *walks by perfectly, fresh, steamy, dead elk available to use to warm up.* Me: Mark I thought you were the expert here Mark 2min later: the first thing you wanna do is kill an animal and jump inside Me: !?! SO YOU ~KNEW~ AND WALKED PAST IT ANYWAY
i like how mark was genuinely sad about the quality i literally had to play fnaf sb on the lowest possible settings, no shadows, literally only squares, and it still lagged and crashed lmao
@@deadpooldealsdamage The forest is a great place for the internet, the secret underground military base has great free WIFI and the bears rarely use the internet so there's low traffic too.
between Markiplier and Darkiplier , there is the Mark who's loosing his sanity over frame rates Edit : Thank's for the likes, I'm happy if that made you smile
This brings the possibility of Markiplier and Darkiplier staring each other down while this version just wanders in licking the Taki powder of the chips and not reading the room at all
I would love to see Mark actually try to survive in the wilderness! Honestly, I hope he does go on a survival show, it would be a great experience for him. And from watching Naked and Afraid, survival is not easy, even in areas of abundance. Also, hot springs and vents are not good sources of heat when in winter/tundra conditions; vapors from the steam get you and your clothing wet, which just freezes again when you step away from the heat source and will cause hypothermia. Best to get shelter, fire and/or the warmth of another person to keep warm.
12:43 One thing I noticed when recording with OBS is that recording with any games higher than 1080p causes it to lab and miss frames. Another thing it could *possibly* be is if you're scaling the recording down to a different resolution. Those are just two things that have happened to me before and I hope it somehow helps!
I used to really love watching people play 'The Long Dark' as a kid. Had a pretty big faze over it so yes, I actually do think about getting stranded in snowy wilderness often.
