the fact that the last Spittoon is completely clean and it absolutely breaks Mark and Mumflr Fumperdink is fucking hilarious

Best one for me is 6:53 Telling the narrator what's happening as they get mad at you for it is perfect

It’s like they created this “spittoon” thing just for mark

I love how this can read like a chaos gremlin dnd player and their increasingly exasperated dungeon master

And if you’ve played shadow over loathing you’d know mumflr fumperdink: KING OF SPITTONS! Is canon. Come on mark, don’t keep us waiting for the return of the king.

Get you a partner who is as excited to see you as Mark is to see a spittoon

The disgusting legacy of Mumflr Fumperdink, King of Filth, will live on for eternity. Tales of his foulness had gone as far as the east coast, where it's said that one of his spittoons is on display for everyone to admire.

What really sells it to me is while he hardly shifts his voice during these encounters, you can sense at least a hint of annoyance in Mark's voice whenever he's speaking as the Narrator in most of these, which is in contrast to the genuine excitement of Mumflr when he's delving into these spittoons, especially towards the end.

The narrator is having an argument to the protagonist because of the SPITOON 😅

This reads like a DM as they slowly lose their sanity because one of their players keeps asking to dig through actual shit

The leather bondage outfit made from the skin of a clown had BETTER be in Shadows Over Loathing

Unironicaly these Spittoon scenes was the catalyst for me writing occasional super detailed descriptions. Like I would write "The room has 3 chairs and a table between them" and that being it, but then suddenly it would be super descriptive for a singular thing.

And it's such a nice gesture from Asymmetric to make this a canonical historical tribute in Shadows Over Loathing

This really reminds me of a D&D campaign with that one guy that does nothing but torture the DM

Just imagine being a bartender and seeing a man kiss the spittoon then proceed to wear it as a hat. I love that the last one you get to see an onlookers perspective of mumflrs crazed obsession lol.

Mumflr fumpr dink is now canon in the shadows of loathing king of filth and spittons which is ..... something I would not expect

I like how the person handing you blechscalibur is disgusted by it despite living inside the same spitoon it came from.

The narrator is like a disappointed Dm trying to get a player out of this specific comedy bit

mark's dedication to scour through every spittoon to the point where he wore it as a hat as the ultimate achievement in itself has brought mumflr fumperdink as a household name even in shadows over loathing where a bar displays a spittoon where mumflr was one of its notable owners. what's cool is that mark named said bar in his old namesake fumperdink! a beautiful coincidence.

Mark never disappoints me

I have never watched Mark laugh at a game the way he did with West of Loathing. I love it so much, there's something so charming about stickmen and extremely goofy/literal dialogue

I never saw the last spittoon until now and it is so funny to see how both mark, and mumflr are distraught by its cleanliness

Never played DnD in my life, but I imagine this is pretty much like being a DM, just watching the player keep trying to do something absolutely useless for god knows how long, so in the end you chose to give him some sort of reward.

This feels like the text is a DM in DND who is completely done with Mark's shenanigans lol

There is a spittoon in Shadows Over Loathing, the new game they made. You can't reach it and it apparently belonged to a legendary hero by many different names. Meaning your character from West of Loathing. Reaching into the spittoons is canonical to the Loathing games, now.

The best part of all this is that the spittoon treasures are actually incredibly good

The spitoons and the book of stupid walking were honestly some of the best game content anywhere. 🤣

I watched this series when Mark first uploaded in onto his channel. I've been meaning to come back to it, but never got around to it. By the time I'm watching this, I've been a part of a Dungeons and Dragons group for a few years now, and this reads EXACTLY like a conversation between a player and an exasperated Dungeon Master.

The best thing is in the new game of the loathing series there is a spittoon that has Mumflr history with it, shows the developers knew of Marks series.

I love how Mark's attitude towards spittoons takes probably the exact same arc as Mumflr/the player character starting out: huh, I wonder what this is? a few in: oh god no, I can't believe I'm about to defile nature for the sake of a random piece of loot a bunch in: YES! I love that he's referrenced in the new game Shadows of Loathing. In the bar theres a spittoon that pops up a dialogue box that mentions it possibly having been owned by Mumflr Fumperdink. It's an ok game btw with several endings but it's "very short" considering I beat it in a total of maybe 10-11 hours

Someday I'll be able to watch through this whole video and enjoy Mark's giggling, but I can't stop gagging from this ridiculous game's masterful use of descriptive language.
