Definitely looking forward to each video you do. Thank you so much . Looking forward to watching you get your boat done. You're doing a great job. Definitely want to see the twin motor Project with the other boat. You are definitely a man of all trades. Definitely got a true fan over here in the States Thank you
G'Day mate ! I agree that your boat looks better with the back awning gone ! You got a good bit done this week . Always enjoy your videos Pete . Cheers,Scott 🌵
Another good Sunday morning for me watching your video. When you mentioned Mercruiser made me think, you’re on the other side of the world and Mercury Marine is headquartered only an hour from me. You seem to have a lot of dreams and plans which is good, it keeps you young. When I was young I had the same and still do. Some I’ve realized and some not but if one doesn’t dream they won’t accomplish anything. I’m 68 and have enough projects for another lifetime, the body gets old but the mind doesn’t. Keep pushing on and I’ll keep watching, have a good day!
Thanks Geoffrey!! Yeah, I think I've got too many things on the go, sometimes. Ha ha!! But I also simply enjoy just "having" all this stuff! I know I won't get it all done, but I'm loving the journey! Just FYI, watching your channel is an inspiration. Thank you!! :-)
Pete , Bloody good vid mate , I do up a lot of boats , Just finished a speedy boat 4.9 cox craft with a 125hp merc 4cyl 2 stroke she does 71 MPH on the gps with 2 inches of boat in the water ,, Love it Rob Nowra NSW
Improved the lines no end chopping that back cockpit lid off! Good tip, get a Bunnings off the shelf shade sail, they do different dimensions and put a couple of poles in the rod holders to hold the thing up..... cheap way of getting a Bimini and getting out of the sun, might need a bit of lashing down! Cheers Pete
That bigger boat is crying out for the 6BT Cummins. Are they 210hp engines? They will have CAV DPA injector pumps if 210's. That boat will perform so so well.
Hi Mr Matui! One 6bt has the CAV, the other has a Stanadyne (both DPA). These pumps don't seem to like the vegie oil that I run. I would love to fit the "P pumps", but my wallet seems to think I would prefer a couple of VE pumps. Hoping to tune them up to around 230 - 250hp (we'll see). These engines have a %100 duty cycle @ around 220hp (apparently!!), so a tiny bit more won't hurt. I'm also looking forward to that project! :-)
@@pete-mate3524 Hi. P-pumps are top of the list for sure. Wouldnt bother with the Stanadyne. CAV DPA pump is very good but at 210-250hp they are renowned for the camring and rollers to fail. Just had to rebuild a "factory rebuilt" 210hp DPA pump with only 45 hours on it that had lunched itself. The VE is more easily tuneable. The DPA has a very fine plastic gauze filter under the 15/16 nut where fuel enters the rear of the pump. They dont like too viscous/thick/dense fuel unless its at around 30-40degree C. Also the carbon transfer blades in the rear of the pump may be worn or even broken. If you can find VE's grab them. But not a lot seemed to come to Oz or NZ VE equipped except for a heap of 4BT's . Mostly Bosch and Nippondenso P-pumps and CAV DPA's altho sum industrials had the Stanadynes.
