when two ADULTS decide to love each other in a non-traditional way. It's non of our business, period. Tahir anf Farren married EACH other and NOT us. Unless, we are paying their bills,living in their house. It's none of our business. Wishing them both the best and much love❤, and success.

It's funny how we say that it is none of our business yet and still, we are listening and minding their business. 😂 But, of course, you mean that it's their life and they alone should make the decision on how to live it. Especially, since they are not asking for our opinion, they are just sharing their life. 😊

i can’t judge but i can say i predicted it 🤣. they way tahir talked about relationships, sex and farren on other videos i just felt like their was a strain in the relationship. turns out there wasn’t, they just have an open relationship and i’m not used to not hearing someone talk about their sex life in such an open way nor about their partner in such a objective factual way rather than possessive, overbearing loving kinda way that monogamous people do lol

@sarahrios1269
@sarahrios1269 Год назад
I know why it was tough for me. I hear everything they’ve said about respect and communication I just feel like there room 1 for people to be horribly hurt which could go wrong a number of horrific ways especially when you enter mental health and what people are aware and unaware of that we do not know because we are mere mortals-- and then 2. The open door for abuse that could come. I do not suggest that Farren is abusive towards Tahir or otherwise. What I am not suggesting but clearly stating is that if someone is prone to be an abuser; this would be a wonderful way for them to practice abuse. I also believe that this is also a perfect way for someone to practice escapism and not really being their body and skirt feeling vulnerable. I completely understand what they’re saying abs their perspectives. But I think there may be factors that they have not considered. Example- someone could think their ok with this arrangement with the two of them-- until it begins and then realize that they are not. They could handle it maturely and just leave. They could also be immature and destructive in a number of ways. The worst of those is them attacking in some way Farren and/or Tahir. But the other side of this is them being destructive to themselves in a variety of ways. Someone could fall in love easily. Only some people handle heart break well. But if that person doesn’t; which could probably coincide with someone just trying to self medicate with sex or the girlfriend or boyfriend experience because them being committed to someone cost to much to them--- that same person could end up mentally in a very bad way. Which could end negatively in a number of ways. 🤷🏽‍♀️ just saying. Having said that. I still respect Farren and Tahir and love them both. But no I’m vehemently against this lifestyle. That doesn’t make me weak or insecure. Agree to disagree.

@sarahrios1269
@sarahrios1269 Год назад
I tend to agree. But there’s something else nobody is saying. How does it affect the other people? I’m sure some of those other people totally think they’re ok with this….until they’re in it--- then what? Simple answer is leave the situation. But what if mental health is a question… what if there in so much pain before they ever get there that this started to make them feel again and it’s too much and they become suicidal? Very specific I know. And some may say unlikely. How unlikely is it for real? Just saying. But I love Tahir and Farren still-- I just strongly disagree. Because of the toll this can and probably has had on the human spirit of people in this lifestyle. No diss. I don’t think this is the same as homosexuality at all. If someone is gay they usually can remember the first day from childhood that they had feelings for someone of the same sex. That was far more than sex. This just sounds like people who want more sex. That’s not necessarily bad. But what about the effect it could have on ALL the people involved? Just saying. Agree to disagree.

I also don’t understand why people not claiming to be Christian are being attacked by Christians, I’m not sure what a Christian’s expectation would be. They have made the rules for their relationship and they appear very happy with each other. This was an interesting conversation and I appreciate them being open, honest, and sharing their journey. For her to say she’s “Different” but started the conversation off with “I know I’m not the only one” right there is where I said “It’s not that you’re different, you just have a mentality of every other woman out there that thinks boys will be boys, & that you know you not the only one” I get so tired of women trying to convince themselves that they are open to thing’s that they know deep down in their hearts they want a guy that can be 100% faithful to them. That’s the problem with people who think like that & have that mentality “ Boys will be Boys “ NO. How about take accountability for the thing’s you participate in & understand that just as much as HE play a role in the outcome, you do too. Granted, there are people out here who truly live that lifestyle. And is happy & know who they are and okay with the life they live. I’m not speaking to those people. I’m speaking towards the women with her mentality that thinking they aren’t the only one, so let me remove the word “Infidelity” & open up the relationship to have relations with other women. The fact that she mentioned she “Encouraged” him to have relations with other women, right here is where my ears were completely off and I knew everything else that she would say isn’t based on the fact of her being “Different” A lot of ppl listen to things, but don’t really listen to what a person is saying. At the end of the day the root of it wasn’t because “You believed in Poly, & Wanted To Live The Lifestyle” The root of it was “ I know I’m not the only one, so instead of infidelity being a thing let me open the relationship & encourage him to have relations with other women , ( because I know I’m not the only one anyways ) “ No matter how y’all try to twist what I just said & create you’re own version of it. The truth is in the pudding & you can’t deny the Fact that it wasn’t because this is something she wholeheartedly just wanted because that’s who she is. It’s who she thought he was already & doing already. In no way am I coming for her or him. I’m just calling a spade & spade and seeing thing’s for what they are & NOT by what I think I hear. I’m listening with all 4 ears. And there’s no way anyone can tell me that this lady wants to be Poly when her opening statement was “ I knew I wasn’t the only one “ Y’all can have the FairyTale story. We adults , & we can agree to disagree. It’s respect to Kev at the end of the day. 🥷

Basically this was not believable or seemed authentic. Melissa ain't here for the fake mess. This whole podcast is about married couples why even film if she was unavailable. Farren and Tahir seemed to have had an active sex life and then after marriage Tahir seemed to have lost his libido. I may have missed something but, did he consider therapy or getting his hormone levels (men's hormones can become imbalanced too) checked? Polyamory came across as more of a bandaid for Tahir, to a deeper problem, rather than something he really wanted to do. Again, I'm just going off of what I heard in those 60 or so minutes, probably some other factors. Anyway, I wish Farren and Tahir the very best and I appreciate them sharing their story.

In my opinion an open ,the term open marriage is an oxymoron. By letting outsiders in your relationship you risk for dangerous things to happen, not just to your marriage but people inside your circle. Just because of few people may respect the boundaries , there's to much of a risk for others not to.
