Great interview, lads! I never seem to finish one of your interviews thinking 'I wish they would've asked the interviewee that'. Some great questions (and, obviously, some golden answers by Marshall). I particularly agree with Marshall about the victimhood element and people being given it on a plate due to injustices/perceived injustices (which have often never affected them throughout their lives), but, given how fragile society has become on that topic, I'll leave it at that. His keys to success are solid, and he obviously has his head screwed on. Definitely comes across as a thoroughly nice guy. Anyway, you should both be very proud of the content you're creating. Keep up the great work. 👍

Marshall Fogel touched on a few times on wealth management companies investing in vintage cards and collectibles.... we have seen in recent years... Masterworks... fractional ownership..... 1 share of a Mantle 52T as example.... but in addition to fractional ownership, hedge funds or investment funds targeting vintage cards.... as has been the case for artwork, etc.. Is this direction gaining large momentum??? Seems modern cards are going more "corporate", Fanatics, PSA, PWCC, Goldin, CGC/JSA, etc, etc.

From what I can acertain from the vid I have watched of Mr Fogel, his major components of his collection are: vintage cards, GU bats, GU jerseys, signed baseballs, type 1 photos... all baseball based............... all great areas of the hobby to collect in... yes, he has dipped his toes into non baseball... Bobby Orr's GU stick...etc.. but I am guessing (note the key word guessing) over 80% of his collection is baseball vintage... 20% all other sports.. (if that).. one other key absence is vintage signed RC or vintage signed cards in general. Again, we all know the history why RC and valuable cards were discouraged to get signed... but as time passed, that view has flipped 180 degrees... many OG dealers (not sure what Mr Fogel's views are on topic) had level of dismissal of signed RC for decades.. wonder what his views are on them... and as many have changed outlook of signed cards (as is case of modern fabricated signed cards)... if his views have changed historically vs now is... I know that as psa and psa dna pop reports showed how much more scarce signed cards are vs non signed.... add for many players... the ability to catch up and sign batches of them no longer an option, the light bulb moment... signed low pop RC has a following now and will continue to gain a following in future... (my opinion of course)

If the NFT fad is anything to go by I'll have good money on physical cards being the only game in town in our lifetimes. All the talk of 'digital cards' amounting to anything is massively overblown imo.
