Martha Argerich and Evgueny Kissin recital in Paris (TCE) January 23rd, 2012

Kissin probably is one of the very few pianists Argerich worked with that could catch up with her mercurial musical thoughts. and he has the technique to follow her lightning speed and transition of passages. they don't seem to have to signal each other and could telepathically follows one another.

BRAVO, my dearest Charles ♥️!!! You have recorded History in the making!!! I never thought I would ever hear Martha play this Schubert in my lifetime! I recall in the very early 2000's when she played a short Schubert Marche as an Encore. We were delirious!!!🌹 Thank you a million times for this unbelievable gem!!!

How wonderful that she gave us this. and the Schubert ! Has she ever played any Schubert in concert before the Wanderer Fantasy would be great but i guess she figures enough others play it . always thought it odd she didn't give us more Beeth and Schubert sonatas . Of course she knows all the music but has decided not to enter the fray and they're certainly enough recording s out there . But Martha always adds something unseen or unheard before . The wild playing in the Mozart finale would never be left to posterity in an official recording . Interesting that she and Kissin get together with their heavy schedules and Kovacevich and so many others Argerich regularly plays . seems she has gone from never playing or cancelling to now and really the last 20 years seems to be playing somewhere in the world every day and several times a week . Wonderul to hear her in Milhaud. he wrote 5 piano concerti which I don't well enough to say anything about though Ive heard them it takes a while to really feel his aesthetic sometimes .

One of the rare occasions where Argerich played the Schubert Fantasie. I recorded the radio broadcast, but halfway through the Schubert there was a drop-out in the broadcast lasting several minutes. The fact that I don't have that complete recording still frustrates me. Her collaborations with Kissin are always great!
