There would be no Johnny Cash without Luther Perkins. Cash brought the voice but that legendary sound was all Luther. That’s pretty much what this song means. They was just a plain ole country band….but when Luther played the guitar it birthed a legend
Somethin' about that Marty, he has such an appreciation for the ol' country Greats! Maybe because he grew up playing music with almost all of them.....I sure do love him! When I see him he makes my heart skip a beat!!
Iv'e watched as many of the Marty Stuart Shows on RU-vid as I can as we don't get the TV show here in Ireland and I have to say what a smashing show with fantastic music. Marty and the Superlatives are all superb Musicians and It's Country music at it's best.
I just can't understand how this stuff is falling by the wayside and taking a backseat to this modern BULLSHIT on the radio. You'd think that any person with right mind would realize that this is the hottest damned band in country. Not to mention it's just downright fun to listen too. Such great pickers.
Superlative!! Saw him at the Smokey Mt. Center in Franklin NC last year. The best show I've ever seen of it's kind, or most any kind for that matter. Period.
❤️ when I was a little girl we saw Johnny Cash and his Tennessee Three, the Carter Sisters WITH Mother Maybelle and some GRAND musical others. We got to meet JC backstage and he was a beautiful person. ❤️ soooo Luther, it was an honor to see him play his guitar.
I’m 66 and I just now found out there was a thing called The Marty Stewart Show. Damnation it’s good. I very much recommend the Otis Gibbs interview with Kenny Vaughn on RU-vid. He talks about appearing on Letterman with Marty Stewart so I looked it up and it about blew my mind. Boy howdy!
What you should have done is at the time there should have been a report on why Marty Stuart left. Especially if he chose to leave. As with any body that you make a big deal they are on You should report when they leave. We were all left to wounder why.We loved Sat night because he was on. We LOVE 💘 Marty Stuart. Nancy and Ron Wood. 210 franlin st. New Boston il.
Thank you so much Liam for sharing Marty Stuart shows with us...it's really appreciate....I love Marty he's such a great musician so talented......I enjoy it very much I hope you're gonna share many others of Marty....Thank you again...
I love all this best old song,I miss all my past memories sometimes it's made me cry ang laugh,..all the special moments in my life it remind me,I miss it,God bless to our listeners 💖💖💖
understand from what I've read that the reason Luthur played so strange is ,because the used guitar he learned to play on, had no controls that worked so he used to palm mute the bass strings
I appreciate Marty's keeping the old, REAL country music going full blast. Looks like the corporate cross-over, pop syrup crowd hasn't gotten to Marty, yet. If only he could sound and play mush like Taylor S., right guys?
Right on, DC--I wouldn't worry too much, there are so many SSI recipients these days like ES with nothing to do but surf the web and snark, that is when they're not calling their dope dealer on their ObamaPhone.... Marty is the best! He's like a walking encyclopedia of country--one of the last acts you could tell a youngster to go see and get a genuine taste of what the original heroes were really like! (Yes I know Willie's still with us, but you know what I mean).
jennifur sun They are beautiful guitars, i really like the old all mahogany ones like the 0-15 & 0-17 models, they are still relatively affordable when compared with the old D-18 & 28's, Peace.
