Even with the mask on, you can clearly see ByuN being tilted to submission after that unexpected comeback in game 3. Maru is such a beast.

TvT is my favorite matchup due to the amount of chaotic games that result from it like these.

Game 3 was a great mirror match, both doing almost the same thing (dropping the enemy base). But here you can see the difference in skill most impressively. Whereas Maru is pulling back, stabilizing and anticipating the next attack, Byun repeatedly abandons his mainbase, doesn't leave any defense behind and slaughters his own SCVs for some Marines. He sacrifices too much for too little and tries to force his way through, while Maru just adapts to the situation, almost as if he has conquered his own ego. It's this difference in tactics that lets one player fall and another one rise from the depths of defeat. I've honestly never seen so many comebacks as from Maru. His win feels very deserved. Chapeau!

Maru threw a hail mary with that last drop, and it fecking worked. Although TBH i think byun just forgot how to deal with medivacs in the last game. First heromarine killing 5 SCVs thanks to medivac support, then dozens of SCVs dieing to marines that it was actually impossible for them to kill.

Can someone clarify what the victory condition is please?

Maru got too cute that last game lost a lot of mining time on the third base which the secret play didn’t pan out and cost him the lead his “hero marine” managed to grab. Of course byun choked it away in the end but still

the last game was really dumb, what a stupid way to lose, byun had 22 more workers, pretty close army supply, and was mining from 3 bases while maru had no bases mining, he could just leave with everything he had and wait or idk, was just too wird to lose 45 scvs to a drop

No wonder Maru won with the little mask cutting Byun's oxygen supply off :)
