The Maruti Suzuki brings back a formula that seemingly no one's been able to find success with - the cross-hatch. However, while it is based on the Baleno, Maruti Suzuki's done more to make the Fronx offer something more unique, with more ground clearance and design that helps it stand closer to the Grand Vitara. In this video, we take a look at the Fronx and get a better idea of where it stands and whom it makes the most sense for.

What reviewers don't realise is that Maruti's competition is with itself. Lack of features in fronx is made on purpose to make a consumer go for the brezza. This cannot be compared to Nissan or Renault who have 2 cars in their lineup. I wished that 1.2L turbo was available instead of 1L turbo. But then the power figures would surpass the 1.5L brezza. This little bit isn't explained by reviewers who seem to read out of spec sheet more then talk about the real world driving dynamics which gets less space in the video. This video though gives quite the good space for the driving experience. Kudos to that.

Back in those days the common man did not understoood the advantages that they get from a Cross Over, today with this FRONX, the people will soon understand the Importance of Cross over. To be honest, if younssaid 1.2NA is worthwhile, then the same engine is there in i20 Active 1.2NA, but as the price was 9.5lacs and above, people were hesitant to buy them. Infact when the Baleno and i20 normal second to base model cost 6.45lacs ExShowroom, now when the Fronx is about to launch, when the people are about to buy, the Nexa will be putting the price tag slightly above the normal Baleno, which makes the people to think, and simultaneously reduces the Sales of it. The same happened in 2015 when the i20 Active launched, it was bit pricier.... Lets see, how much they charge for the FRONX.. Definitely for sure the Boot space is narrowed to 308litres....

Swift dzrire had low head space in bs3 but with bs4 or bs6, they improved in that. Fronx will be improved likewise in future in accordance to response from market, not from RU-vid reviewers.

You'll appreciate the fronx. If your budget permits go with the boosterjet so that you don't miss the power in later stages of ownership. Boosterjet AT is a good choice if you can extend your budget. It is easier for older folks to get in and out of the fronx compared to baleno.

Sunroofs are unusable only during Summers. In winters & monsoons, sunroofs, especially panoramic ones are an amazing feature

Even then Maruti is loved by masses and is the largest car maker for 30 years. Platform is as safe as any other car, for sure. Nexon is tested by NCAP at 64 Kmph and all the Indian cars, including Maruti are tested at 46 Kmph. No car is safe when it crashes at a speed of 80 or 100 Kmph.

Thank heavens they didn't offer a sunroof. The craze for this impractical feature in India is ridiculous and illogical. Budget and forward set sunroofs are useless & expensive, better to offer some other more useful features or better engine/transmission, or even better, keep the price low by not offering useless stuff.

The only thing that got me off is that this car doesn't come with just automatic transmission not CVT or DSG. This is really disappointing' maruti s should have made the convenience of really good cvt or dct gear box engines not just the basic . Maruti suzuki is giving us the Booster jet engine but with plain adramatic transmission. This is really really disappointing nowadays. People are not just looking for the mileage but they are looking to spend more extra money with the convenience of automatic engines. Due to the start and stop traffic so please ponder upon this and whenever you launch the products in various automatic transmission radiance.

So, I don't need a 4 or 5 star rated car. Bcoz, I know that my car will never go above 40 in city. That's why I can take even 1 or 2 star rated car. It won't make any difference. But, if anyone is too much worried about safety, they can choose 3 or 4 star rated cars also.
