This car is really amazing !! And the one who are comparing it from etios cross and i20 active can see the power & performance what this car is giving !! Guys what i am feeling is first of all drive it and then give your comments !
praise praise !!!.... that 320 nm. Being a performance Enthusiast ,i loved it . Yesterday I had the pleasure to test drive the all new s-cross and trust me guys if you love TORQUE then.. chala ke dekho yaaaaaaaar :-)
This car, especially with the 1.6 engine is pretty damn rare, so picked the delta 1.6 preowned, 2015 model 1 lakh km driven for around 460000. And it is every bit worth it.
After driving 1200km of 1.3 Zeta in and out of Bangalore:Cons (Negatives): 1. Mileage (inspite of keeping below 2k RPM) is 15kmpl (city) and 18 (highway) even after 1st service (dont trust ARAI claims 23kmpl, guess 1.6 would offer even less). Dont expect efficiency of Honda Amaze2. Power lag (between 1k to 2k RPM the power burst is sudden and slow). So need to frequently switch between 1st and 2nd gears on humps and steep turns.3. The engine noise can be felt inside but play some music and would feel better. Speaker Sound quality is not best in class though, seems to miss deep bass. 4. Fittings outside and inside are fragile. Outside body groove gaps are wide and look odd. Additional Rear Spoiler accessory is fitted on top of old one and looks odd. Outside body catches dust pretty quickly (evident with all colors offered). Dashboard plastics are of good quality but alignment design is very bad, with bare hands try to move and shake it to feel its stability. Goodyear Tyres are not great quality it seems, but too early to comment.5. Costly NEXA customer care (General Maruti is much better, its value for money). Tea/Biscuit/Water/Seat offering is good. But coming to financials they are very bad (Take insurance outside to save 2k, Won't extend promotional discounts unless one fights, Contact RTO agent directly for specific number and save 2k), no new car ribbons, tissue paper, idol). In the name of registration they take blank paper signatures and include old car exchange value papers. (Got cheated by 5k).Pros (Postitives):1. Feel safe while Driving. Remains rooted to ground. Insiders dont feel to be driving very fast. Suspension handling rough roads is good. Ground clearance is also v.good. Turn radius is ok. Drove myself 400km with family at a streatch and none felt strained. Awesome. 2. Highly competetive features giving value: CRUISE control works best in segment. Satellite Navigation, 7" Touch screen infotainment, Auto-Climate control, Inside Lighting, Foot mats, Illuminated scuff plates are very comforting. Anti-theft system, wheel base are good. Cup/bottle holders, positioning of controls are also good. 3. Seating comfort in front and rear for long drives, leg room, boot space are good. Foot lights, Roof lamps, Glove box lamp, Boot lamp, Charging Plugs, USB, Auxillary, Bluetooth, Audio sync, Varied File format suport is good. Ofcourse wont play videos while driving. Rear arm rest. 2 mode reclinable rear seats. Driver seat heigth and horizontal adjustments, Telescopic and tilt steering.4. Top end Alpha gets: Day time running LED lamps, Projecting Halogen, Leather apholestry, Rain sensing Wiper, Auto dimming ORVM
after selling more than 15 crore units , SUZUKI understands Indian buyer more than any other car manufacturer. Let's see what happens post launch>>>>> wish you all the best SUZUKI.
I follow all your videos but I fail to understand why you do not put review with night driving experience, it's a major portion of driving. please share the night driving experience
Hi Dear....Pls assist me - bit confused between Maruti S cross facelift 1.3 Zeta and Hyundai Creta E+ plus diesels, both comes at almost same price 11.3 Lacs. Is there any big difference between Mileage & Maintanence. Which will be the best buy among these two, that can keep smile for next 5-7 years.
movz login Creta is a good car no doubt but over priced. The E+ is severely basic compared to the feature packed zeta variant of s cross. S cross has plenty of advantages like better fuel efficient (15-18 city and 21-24 highways), four wheel drive brakes, better interiors, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering and so on. The only positive I see in creta is it's engine is more refined. Creta will probably have better resale value. S cross will be relatively cheaper to maintain than a creta. Take a test drive of both and decide for yourself.
! At this price bracket u have to see the all factors i.e, economy, aftersale services, trust & reliability of brand and ofcourse which hyundai lacks till now on his every product,
I refrain from acknowledging and replying to the barrage of personal attacks. All I can say is, I prefer a master of one trade than the jack or all or a wolf in sheeps clothing. Seriously, who'd want the combination of a shaky, bulky but delicate vehicle? Not me! I'd rather get a hatchback or a SUV or a mini-SUV for that matter. TBH, there's too much stuff going on in crossovers (lacks that underlying ruggedness), too much wannabe stuff, neither here nor there. You could call crossovers to be transvestites/crossdressers, a part of both worlds.
ok so if that's what you want "a master of one trade " go back in time to 90's and buy a padmini . . . . and please don't share your views on automobile . . . you don't belong
TheHandsome Jack Mate, Duster is a Pure SUV (compact-SUV, if u may). But, it's a SUV. Crossovers lack the ruggedness that SUVs (miniSUVs) have. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia_Duster
it is actually a beautiful car and also big and lengthy but still it lacks the look of a compact suv when compared with all other compact suvs, so a person thinking about spending all his hard earned money for for buying an suv dont want it to be looked as a big hatchback by all those people around. This is the only problem with this car mainly about its own image or road presence.
Swapnil Adhav when i have seen the front grill of european version 1 year ago... i didnt like it... now i feel its much better compared to indian version
I don't understand why Suzuki gave different EPS steering set-up (weight and balance) for S-Cross between outside an inside India? Any automotive media that already reviewed S-Cross in UK said that S-Cross is handling very well like: it is sharp, predictable and the chassis is capable on speed within corners. almost identical to its smaller sibling the Swift Sport, regarding S-Cross outside India get 1.6L petrol engine option (M16 A engine, the same as Swift Sport). Is that because of downgrading or what...?
The EPS unit may be vague for both india and outside india..the stability, darting into corners and handling the power by the chassis depends on suspension setup and more importantly chassis stiffness.my point is,you cannot define handling on terms of steering response and feel as it is the part of overall handling package. Idk about the engine choice.
Guys A SIMPLE TAUGHT . WHEN A PERSON BUYS A COMPUTER DOES HE CHECKS FOR THE GOODIES OR THE PERFORMANCE ? MY CHOICE IS SIMPLE FIAT AVVENTURE THAT'S THE PERFORMER.
I just fail to understand why would FIAT not bring in the 1.6L in its Linea or Aventura FIAT is happy selling engines ...ok I get it ... but they do make really good cars with great handling , why not give these beastly engines . at 406 Renuka says shift down to get power , could it be because of the flimsy handling of Suzuki's , I m sure that wont happen on a Linea setup with 1.6L
Looks like small CRV HONDA but 6 speed manual transmission its give average in mini sagmet preety cool but it's lit bit fiat avantura looks like lit bit...
i think people are being way too harsh over here. Looks are subjective. I,for one, find it quite aggressive in stance. It looks predatory, which i love in cars, a love initiated by the XUV 500. If one is behind me and i look at it through an OVRM, i'd definitely look again. And i guess it will look even better at night with the HID lamps and Led strips. And those saying it is way overpriced compared to the i20 active or etios cross, You forget one thing. Neither of those cars provide disc brakes on all wheels. neither do they provide a rather sophisticated infotainment system on the lines of the smartplay. Plus, the Interiors score way higher than the other two. the 320 ddis engine is larger and more powerful. You have to pay if you want the good stuff. it's simple business
I thought the 1.6 DDIS would knock your sock off, but from your review I feel you are not much Impressed with it? can you please update more about the engine in your next reviews
Very good and detailed video.. Carry on.. I have a bunch of question if you would be kind enough to answer them.. I am having a 2008 model Pulsar 150. I live in Kolkata ,West Bengal and planning a road trip to Leh Ladakh. Is it possible to go with my Pulsar, if not then please suggest me another bike under 90k. I had driven RE for almost 5 years and i dislike them for their vibrations and gearbox. Though i have an option of getting a used RE 4 the trip under my budget only if you guys insist. But I like 150cc bikes 4 there balance between fuel efficiency and power as well. Other wise i like the Honda Unicorn 150, i has drive a friend's Unicorn it is butter smooth or even the Suzuki Gixxer.. But you guys can suggest whatever bike you think is best for the trip.. The bike must be comfortable and very low to maintain. Any other suggestions for the trip is always welcome... When is the right time for the trip? What riding gears should i use.. Cheaper the better as because i am on tight budget.. Can you help me out with the rout as because i am planning to go alone.. What should be the average expense of the trip.. Please help.. Thank you prantik.13@gmail. com
S-CROSS car is very fatal with high chance of accident. Guys please think before buying this car. I bought this car in pune, Maharashtra from NEXA-Kothari Wheels, Viman Nagar: 1)The power steering failed while turning the car and I almost met with an accident in the night of rainy season. (Faulty sensors were installed) 2)Auto AC automatically turns off to heater anytime it liikes (Faulty sensor) 3)Engine does not turn on in the morning. (Faulty keyless entry) 4)Remote key lock does not work (Faulty remote sensor) Car is still in workshop under repair due to faulty parts. No trained staff available to manage a so called 'PREMIUM' Car. They engineers of Kothari wheels have accepted that defect was before car delivered to me and are currently experimenting on my car (Basically on the job training). I have evidence on mail and recorded calls where they have accepted that faulty parts were installed but are not ready to change my vehicle. Would I be able to drive this premium vehicle now after repair when I do not know when the power steering may fail again while turning on road or may be at highway at a high speed??? I am sure if I would have met with an accident, they would have told me that all issues would have happened because of my accident. Or may be I wouldn't have been alive to tell them about power steering failure. One thing I have understood Maruti is good in small cars... but fails or even FATAL for passengers if you risk buying a premium car from them. They are trying to enter premium segment for long time, but are not ready yet.
Well..the S cross seems to be a good package, but the 118 bhp diesel cud have come with an automatic variant,so it wud have been a gud enough competition for the tata zest
Gem of an engine, product. Thx to Suzuki and Fiat. BTW this looks ages ahead than the ugly i20 active, cross polo, etios Cross and all other fake crossovers.
Maruti says that they will launch this between 10-14 Lakhs. It doesn't make any sense. I sat in the car and honestly speaking after spending so much money i expect space but felt totally disappointed. Moving on to rear seat i was totally cramped for space, my head was touching the car roof and legs were cramped. There are better cars available at this price point. I would suggest go for Duster or Creta.
Shure Vox I am a tall guy and need space and this car doesn't provides that. Difference in what kind of product you are looking for. I think I am clear on my point and if it had been such a great product it would have converted in to volumes which this car has not managed to and thats why Maruti has to reduce its price. Said Enough.
I was waiting for this to launch before booking Creta...... and now I regret the wait. This is seriously one of the ugliest car in India even before launch. If this was being launched as a direct competition to duster or ecosport or Creta, boy I pray for Maruti shareholders. After Chaz I thought they were on to something good but they disappointed me as they would a lot of other people
Maruti have missed the mark with this one - the crossover market is primarily directed at the youth - and S-Cross is not going to attract a lot of 'em with such looks - no style no spark. Waiting for Creta or whatever Honda has to offer (SUVs, but whatever).
This (Delta version), or- Mahindra XUV500 W4 Mahindra Scorpio S4 Renault Duster RxE/RxL upcoming Honda BR-V E-MT Force One SX Primear Rio GX/DX The requirements (by decreasing priority)- Engine- torque, power Space Big wheels Ground clearance Comfort You can also suggest something other than these (
