I feel like every British celebrity is extremely polarizing. Benedict Cumberbatch, Gordon Ramsey, Ricky Gervais are universally loved. Simon Cowell, James Corden, and Piers Morgan are universally hated. I know there's more there just the handful I can think of that are polarizing.
I'm my opinion I would say that half of the reason why I low-key liked Thor 4 was because of the jokes/humor, every thing else in the movie was just meh or boring
Honestly it feels like people are just hopping on the hate bandwagon. They’re pretty good at what they were meant to do, set up future plot points. Other than She-Hulk and the Falcon sub plot I think it’s way too early to say that didn’t age well bro lol
I loved the Incredible Hulk. Still re-watching it every year or so. Also, the CGI there looks better than it does in Marvel movies now. My favourite Marvel movie for sure. Doctor Strange is the second.
Iron Man 3 is one of the few MCU movies that has any character to it at all! Theres a lot of great action with and without the suit. The scene where the passengers are falling out of the plane and he rescues all of them by himself is such a great moment for Tony's character. And there are scenes without his suit or just chunks of it where he outsmarts the enemy. The whole point of his character is that his real superpower is his mind not the suit. It's why he takes Peter's away in Homecoming. It's way better than 2 where the villain's motivation is "Bird"
Whiplashes motivation was his father’s legacy that’s forgotten bc he was deported. Or at least that’s what I remember; but he was a pretty weak villain tbh
My main problem with Marvel these days is, there's are so many, and a lot of the ones in the beginning were great and fresh that as the MCU goes on the standards keep changing. We're expecting each new movie/show to out do the last, and its just not going to happen. Iron Man 2 is fantastic
The main problem is that it's owned by Disney now. They care much more about quantity than quality sadly so they're pumping out too many projects. That's why there's been so many horrible shows, they just know that they'll still make money which is all they care about. However, some of the projects have actually been good, and I'm pretty sure they do that becuase they know if they fucked up major movies, their fanbase would disappear.
I'd definitly keep Doctor Strange at A-Tier Who cares that the big villain wasn't as memorable, when the build-up and creation of the protagonist was just that amazing
Honestly, I really like the humor in Ant-Man more than any other Marvel movie. It's usually not really wacky or goofy, a lot of it is just Scott Lang being a jokey guy.
I'm just saying, Jackson kept insisting "The Incredible Hulk started the MCU." despite the fact it came out in June 2008, where Iron Man came out in May.
Eh... I honestly couldn't feel the Hulk being the starting point of the MCU. It didn't have that noticeable effect Iron Man had for it's starting point for the MCU.
Imo Thor 1 is the worst MCU movie. Thor 2 actually had a villain and I think the action in 2 was better and the funeral scene for her mom was kinda cool
Yeah I think ultron is one of the coolest supervillains but the settings were forgettable, quicksilver was disappointing compared to his x men version, and the enemies were all the same robot so they were just boring fodder

The Bible is truth. Please do these four steps. They have an accumulative healing effect on your soul and will open your spiritual eyes. Forgive your parents, break down before Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness, and read Genesis Mathew and one book of the Bible you chose yourself. Please, I know it seems strange, but it is all true. You just need to be genuine. Open your heart. That’s what makes it all click. Especially the forgiveness part. To be forgiven we must forgive. Our parents have generally loved us. They’re supposed to be the easiest people to forgive. It shows something important to God if you do your inner work Jesus Christ laid out. Not forgiving is what keeps Go at arm’s length. Please trust me. Jesus Christ is Lord.
For WandaVision... I honestly think they should have made Agatha Harkness an Old Woman like she's supposed to be. Like keep Kathryn Hahn as Agnes for the whole show, but the Last Two Episodes should have had her revealed as the very powerful Old Lady Witch that she is. Really could have saved the entire show if you ask me. Also, Agatha is not all bad, she actually babysat for Reed Richards and she taught Wanda how to have children with Vision.
They know that, which is why they weren't confused when they saw Spider-man homecoming/far from home on the list. By "marvel" they are meaning "MCU" or more specifically "Marvel studios." It's just shorthand. There is no reason to be specific and say "Marvel Studios" everytime because its clear what they mean by the context.
I don’t feel like Antman and the Wasp was the worst; some of the humor was good, the setup for Endgame was good, and I could always use some more Paul Rudd Scott Lang in my life
Oh, I have completely abolished that movie. That movie should have been a backstory, so we get 5 minutes of backstory and then a movie that shouldn’t exist
5:46 - Well, the reason Ghost doesn't collaborate with the heroes is because her plan to fix herself involves potentially killing Janet. She's unaware that she doesn't have to, but is willing to go the extra mile as she's in pain. She also doesn't trust Hank Pym, as she blames him for her father's death, due to Hank firing him and discrediting him, as that lead to do Quantum experiments by himself without the proper expertise from the likes of Hank and Bill Foster. Since she doesn't trust Hank due to what happened to her father, and later herself, along with the fact that her plan is to extract and Quantum energy from her, which would possibly kill her, I think it makes sense (in her mind) she doesn't work with them.
When Doctor Strange was moved to B Tier, that shit hurt lmao. In all honestly though, As much as Kaecelius wasnt that big of a villian, he serves as a great mirror to Strange in the film. He's basically what Doctor Strange could've turned into if he continued down the path of selfishness. So as forgettable as his name is, i always saw him as an Evil Dr.Strange, before What If happened.
I think the film didn’t change the trope of villains much but they did change the way he defeated them. Not by beating them in combat but by sacrificing himself and losing for eternity which was a massive character development moment.
The fact that the supporting character played by David Dastmalchian makes fearful references to Baba Yaga elevates Ant Man and Wasp to C tier for me lol
I think the part that Charlie missed about them “steamrolling” Thanos in Endgame was that he didn’t have the Infinity Stones in Endgame, but he *did* have them when they fought him in Infinity War.
The only reason thanos even has an army in endgame is to stop people asking the question ‘well why doesn’t all the superheroes attack him all at once?’. They do absolutely nothing the entire battle and have no discernible goals let alone achieve anything for Thanos other than maybe scratch Spider-Man a couple times.
@@cbj4sc1 you're really insulted someone for watching a RU-vid video from one of their favorite RU-vidrs? How low can you go 🙄 People are allowed to be more critical towards content they paid for compared to free entertainment
@@toribibble yeah I think the point he was making is that Iron Man was a solo film and there was no guarantee that it would evolve into a cinematic universe. There had been other solo movies before but they didn't evolve into anything like the MCU. But when Tony Stark showed up in the end credits of The Incredible Hulk, that's when it really became a connected universe. So that is the argument there, I think, unless I'm wrong.
I actually do think Ultron was great in the film problem is the fact we really needed him way later and more stakes with the film. I mean the trailers made it seem it was going to be darker.
In defense of Iron Man 3, it has the most creative action scenes out of all the marvel movies when it forces tony to fight without his suits. There's other points and The Cosmonaut Variety Hour has a great review of the movie in one of his jumbo marvel review videos, and it has given me a new appreciation for the movie.
Charlie's last words in this video were "I think Marvel shows have a very bright future..." If only he could have foreseen the horror that is She-Hulk.

My opinion - the original hulk was actually the most badass, hulk now is also good but you can't exactly call him "THE HULK" he is more of comedic relief
And Thor gets used as comic relief a lot too especially in the later movies probably because technically those two can one shot anyone who’s not infinity gauntlet Thanos or higher so they just end up fucking around with them
I agree with you, the original hulk was an actual beast to be reckoned with, his movements is just full of rage , while they do carry that same delivery in 2012 avengers, i feel like over the years they downgraded hulk and make him the "haha big guy dum dum funni!!". It's the last straw for me when they had thanos beating the shit outta hulk. Like, hulk is practically invincible, the angrier he gets the stronger he becomes. I'm pretty sure thanos is afraid of the hulk in the comics, seriously, that scene of thanos beating hulk without the full infinite stones really rub me the wrong way.
Something I really love about the Homecoming franchise is that these movies are focusing around basically different morals. Like Homecoming is about learning how to be a hero, FFH is about responsibility, and from what I heard, NWH will be about sacrifice. Edit: yes NWH was completely focused around a huge sacrifice Peter had to deal with
Tbh, I don’t like far from home. It felt like it didn’t have any stakes nor did it have any consequences. I do agree that homecoming is focused on Peter learning how to do the right thing, but he doesn’t learn much in far from home. It is only in No way home that Peter truly understands responsibility after his sacrifice.
@@delterflam8965 spiderman had no consequences. He had a suit from stark and then glasses with his arsenal. That alone screams iron boy jr. (No meme intended). Then ask yourself who dies. Then take out vulture and mysterio and tell me what these movies would be without stellar actors playing them. It is too much and it really infuriates me when they praise this spiderman when he shows no improvement whatsoever until NWH.
@@BlackDiamond2718 you had me until the death part. Someone dying is NOT the mark of a great spider man story and I’m tired of people believing that’s the only severe “consequence” Peter ever needs to deal with.
@@owlcircus6811 there was no uncle ben dying. There was no harry dying. He had the centerpiece of his upbringing and his best friend. Both died putting guilt on him and he does everything to honor them. As i said, no consequences and it took three movies to do that.

@@denboix7524 I'm pretty sure Brie is in an episode of community and her character is fun. And Brie garnered a lot of nerd anger for something or other during Captain Marvel promotion
I genuinely think Wandavision is B tier. The series did very good in setting up the future of the scarlet witch and was overall very good. The only disappointing part was the ending. Them not embracing the fact that what Wanda did was wrong was the only problem. The whole point of the show was to understand "grief" and they did it beautifully.

The only thing I remember about Falcon & Winter Soldier is how Tom Holland kinda spoke it into existence when he went "I haven't seen the Falcon mo-- oh wait, there isn't one, sorry."
I was always hoping Dr Strange, Ragnarok and Black Panther would all be in at least B. When I saw the ranking for Dr Strange it made my day, and then they moved it down and I am crushed. How dare you Charlie, you will pay for these actions.
@@frogliza9977 Killmonger Carried the movie for me ngl Also, apparently the fucking studio making the Killmonger vs BP fight got their file corrupted and they had to make that shit in 2 weeks time

I'm just glad Doctor Strange, and Thor: Ragnarok were A and Stan Lee tier respectively. Doctor Strange has to be the most underrated MCU movie, and Ragnarok is looked at as "boring" but it's probably the funniest MCU film and was great development for Thor imo. Plus it introduced Korg, and that alone deserves S tier.
i hate that they knocked strange down to b, it was such a good movie. only part i didn’t like was the fact that he got his powers so easily, there wasn’t any struggle it was just “oh he got to the magic place and trained for 2 days? he can fight main antagonist”
@@Yoko4797 It was so goddamn boring too; the airport scene was meant to be the one getting people butts into cinemas but it was super bad imo. It is incredibly visually unappealing and really boring, the only thing that saved it was Spidey, he was great
I’m mildly annoyed at these comments but its opinion so i respect it. Edit: i agree with this now. All of these movies are really good but after rewatching dr strange, yeah it should be changed.
Iron Man 3 how they tackle Tony's PTSD from New York is soooo good. It was the first movie that wasn't just "another Marvel movie." It broke the formula.
Just to clarify Charlie, Iron Man 3s ending isn't him saying no more suits, it's supposed to be him destroying them to start again, a clean slate which they even talk about at the start
