We're watching Episode 6 of Marvel Studios Hawkeye, So This is Christmas?, on Disney+. What a great finale to wrap up the Hawkeye series. It did leave us wanting more Kingpin though. There's no way we've seen the end of him.

That last scene with Maya and Kingpin was straight from the comics. He ain’t dead! That “family doesn’t always see eye to eye” line was probably a hint as to what happens to him

I hate how Disney watered down his character, which I get it because it’s on Disney + instead of Netflix, but that what makes him such an iconic and terrorizing villain. Netflix Fisk takes off mobsters heads with car doors, and this Disney + version just just chest bumps you to the other side of the room.

@@cw1345 That kinda thing happens in the comics too. Punisher in main continuity is not handled the same as Punisher Max, etc. If you think of the different Netflix series as the MCU equivalent of the Marvel Knights imprint - maybe not full bore hard R rating but heavier and more gritty than main Marvel continuity - then you start to understand how a character is going to translate between different interpretations.

Kingpin is incredibly strong and significantly more durable than the average human, possessing remarkable strength concealed by his extremely corpulent appearance. Most of his body mass is actually muscle that has been built to extraordinary size, much like a Super Heavyweight sumo wrestler, or some Olympic weightlifters and powerlifters but at greater strength levels. He weighs 450 lbs and can lift 650 lbs.

Yeah, this is actually the most accurate kingpin to the comics so theirs obviously no realism to it. Anyone made of 100% muscle would have still been crippled from a car hitting them at 50 mph then through a wall, Even with a bulletproof suit😂

Sure, but an arrow would kill him anyway if he's a normal human being, and getting hit by a car like that definitely would. Being strong won't make your body impervious to damage ffs. Try and shoot one of those strong men guys with an arrow and see what happens, or run them over with a car xD.

So the watch showing 19 is Agent 19, which is Mockingbird. So that confirms she’s Mockingbird. Which is what I mentioned in your last reaction 😉. Kate does become Hawkeye in the comics and Kingpin isn’t dead. In the comics she shot him and he’s blind for a while. Doubt they brought him back just for a quick scene. Everyone keeps saying Kate should be down after being kicked but you do realize she was a black belt at a young age so she can take some hits. Of course Clint knows how to make some weapons. He’s an agent and been an assassin. I’d also like to point out Amber was in time out that’s why she was out of focus 😂.

Rumors are that the Echo series is the Disney backdoor for a few of the Netflix Marvel characters like DD. In the comics Kingpin was only blinded when Maya shot him, and if that's still the case then her series will have her fighting Fisk's assassins.

The Echo/Kingpin scene was taken directly from the comics. In the run when Echo debuted, when she found out Kingpin had her dad killed, she shot Kingpin in the face, but he survived.

Daredevil has been a strong Marvel character since 1964, over 600 issues, a colourful history, he doesn't need Kingpin. That being said, I think that you are right, in the comics Echo shoots Kingpin in the face, it doesn't kill him, but makes him blind until successful surgery about 3 years later. I think that's most likely

I'm guessing that both Matt and Kingpin are not the versions from the Netflixverse. This Kingpin seems to be more of a mob boss, instead of the businessman that he was in Daredevil. So, at this point the direction they'll take in the MCU with Daredevil and Kingpin is still yet to be seen. This whole multiverse thing though, definitely allows for things to reach the MCU from other places like Netflix or Agents of Shield, or other Marvel properties over the years.

The theory is kingpin was a businessman until thanos snap. Daredevil got dusted and clint as ronin (being used by kingpin) removed most of kingpin's competitor. Now he controls the whole new york. Daredevil and kingpin will appear in She Hulk and Echo series.

Kingpin got run over by a car, blown up and electrified by seriously powerful arrowheads, and is played by Vicent Denafio so incredibly well. A couple of bullets can't kill such a massive, fan favorite villain!!!

35:30 Val is also known as Madam Hydra in certain cases. She's had a lot of positions, and has had a lot of motives. (Her and Nick Fury also dated in the comics before lol). She kind of like an anti-Nick Fury 😂. Idk what they'll have her do in the mcu though. She definitely about that shady business though.

HAWKEYE is set in the main MCU. The extremely strong Kingpin with no cane in the Netflix series is the variant. The Kingpin in HAWKEYE with his weapon-cane seems to be ABNORMALLY strong (akin to super soldier strong) like the comic. This Multiverse is a headache 😂😂😂 Excellent 6th/final episode.

Hmm, so the question is what did Amber do to get put on "blurry" punishment for most of this reaction. Regardless you Triple As are as insightful as ever. Jack's sick burn on Armand VII was hilarious. Hopefully the New Hawkeye and the New Black Wido wwill make their own "Budapest" mission memory! They have the same chemistry as Clint and Nat.

Oh, guess I should also bring up that Echo actually does shoot kingpin in the face for killing her father in the comics. He doesn’t die from it. He’s just blind moving forward. I guess he’ll only lose one eye tho bc in the comics she had 2 guns.

Maya/Echo has her own show coming up and it's a sure bet Kingpin will be involved some way. In the comics he was the one who had her father killed, blamed it on, Daredevil while raising her up to be his own personal assassin. She does find out the truth in the comics too and leaves that life..Kate does take on the name of Hawkeye ,Elena was definitely contracted,through Val, to kill Clint but pretty certain Eleanor knew nothing of the Black Widows.

Kingpin is basically pure muscle, which is why he has such incredible strength. Kingpin literally is like the epicenter of all crime, especially in NY. He's basically untouchable legally, and has the money to do anything he wants. Kingpin gets people tied to him financially and emotionally like Eleanor and Echo, so they feel stuck to him. Val & Kingpin being connected is natural, cause she's like an evil Nick Fury with the Dark Avengers

Eddie Brock wasn't the only character to wear venom, another person is Flash Thompson a huge fan of spiderman and he becomes agent venom after bonding with venom. And flash is already a well known character in the spiderman movie so I think that's the route their going to take.

Maya's getting her own show Echo. Kingpin will be in it because of their comic history and this show. I can do this all day my Queens! Alyssa you're my partner, your reaction is my reaction! Loved this show and I'm expecting a season two even though it hasn't been announced! My favorite line is Kate telling Clint you fought Aliens with a stick and a string! Anyone can be a hero, if they're willing to do the right thing no matter the cost!

I'm conflicted about Eleanor, it sucks that she ended up shouldered and had to deal with her husband's debt with Kingpin, and she had to do what she had to do for Kate, but at the same time she did greatly profit from it and literally dirtied her hands with Armand (and who knows what else). She was forced into that path unwillingly, but she definitely grew into it in the end.

could watch/listen to you 3 all day. so smart, articulate and of course beautiful. glad u all loved Yelena too, every scene she just steals, so good. im no marvel expert, but i think u got it all on point :) the watch thing is confusing, not sure why the tracksuits were after it, if its just a watch. but im sure it will come back at some point.

If they kept the fact that kingpin's suits are kevlar lined/bulletproof in the netflix show in the mcu, that'll be cool. But, the ending of this episode played out in the comics pretty much the same, but I'm not going to spoil it. Echo & Daredevil has history too. Honestly, spidey is really a street level hero who has dealt with kingpin too & the ending of No Way Home kind of reinforces & sets up the "friendly neighborhood" stuff. Great Reactions BTW!

This version of Kingpin is very similar to, but not exactly like the one from the Netflix shows. They did make some changes. Kingpin gets into fights with Daredevil and Spider-Man, so the fact that Kate went one-on-one with him is really impressive. As mentioned in Daredevil, Kingpin wears armored clothes. This version of Kingpin is stronger than the one in Daredevil. Comic book Kingpin has a lot of muscle under that fat, like a Sumo wrestler. Laura is Agent 19, which confirms she is the MCU version of Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird. That explains her unusual spy skills and why she's so calm about what Clint does. Kate does not listen, especially when someone she cares about tells her to do something sensible. I love that about her. She's the Leeroy Jenkins of the MCU. Jack joining the LARPers was great. He would fit right in. You're right, Kate and Clint both use the Hawkeye name, like Miles and Peter. In the comic books, Kingpin lied to Maya about the death of her father, which resulted in her shooting him in the face and leaving her life in the mob to become a hero. In her confrontation with Kingpin, she shot him in the face, which resulted in him being blind for a few issues. Kingpin is also a regular villain for Spider-Man, as well as other heroes.

Rumor is the Kingpin will be the villain of the Echo series (in the comics Echo shoots Kingpin and actually blinds him, that's why he says "sometimes family doesn't see eye to eye...")...also the Echo series is supposedly gonna be a soft reboot/season 4 of Daredevil with Charlie Cox and most of the cast coming back for Echo too

Yelena is convinced that Clint's lying because she thinks that Natasha sacrificed herself for Clint, and can't believe that she'd willingly leave Yelena behind. But after she spoke to Clint, she realized that the sacrifice was actually to save her sister.

As far as I understood it, the watch''s only significance was it outed Laura, as a SHIELD agent. I'm guessing her DNA or fingerprints were on it, or there was some other way to trace it back to her. She must have had some past connection to the track suits, which is why they were interested in her. I think her watch is meant to mirror the Ronin suit, as in it's their pasts catching up with them. That's just my guess, is the track suits were looking for Laura, and it led Maya to Clint, because Kate took the suit which was with the watch.

Thank you, ladies, for your fun reaction video of the Hawkeye finale. Firstly, outside of the Mature-rated violence of the Netflix Daredevil series Kingpin’s MCU character is practically identical. MCU’s version is upgraded to comic series accuracy with his prodigious strength and robust physique, and in Hawkeye’s finale it was clearly demonstrated the MCU K-man can withstand a LOT of POWERFUL DAMAGE. Secondly the Maya/Echo confrontation scene was tracking with the comic series' depiction of vengeful Echo pointblank shooting Kingpin in the face and it only resulting in his temporarily losing his sight. Thirdly, after the view rose beyond Echo and Kingpin at her gunpoint before she fired, cast on the building behind by the Bro truck headlights, both their vaguely defined STANDING silhouettes remained so after the muzzle flash. Soooo…for the above reasons, clearly the wise and wily MCU didn’t introduce then indisputably eliminate the Marvel comic, Marvel TV and now Marvel Studios fan favorite Kingpin. Yes Ross does become the Red Hulk and for the very reason you stated..there will be some heavy CGI if the MCU goes there with him, which I think they will.

I knew spiderman wasn't gonna show up (even though I reaaaally wanted it) but they had so many hints to it and set up to where it would make perfect sense. The time frame, the location of the finale and spidermans new apartment, kingpins outfit in this being one he wore in a spiderman comic. Kate's fall would have been a perfect time for him to swing in. BUT I know spidey showing up would instantly over shadow the show so I get it.

According to D'Onofrio, it IS the same Kingpin as the Netflix one.... its just that his criminal empire has diminished over the last few years what with the whole Thanos Snap happening and all. He's currently trying to rebuilt his criminal empire.

Great series I really enjoyed it. Great reviewas alway ladies. Clint met his wife while they were working at SHEILD. She went under the code name Mockingbird. Yup Alyssa hit it right on the nose Secretary Ross take the serum to become Red Hulk. Val aka Lady Hydra is out recruiting everyone for the Thunderbolts which include Yelana, Abomination, Baron Zemo, Taskmaster, US Agent and many others.Too Amber: Kingpin is not to be played with. He has been training for this his whole life. That's not fat under them nice suits its all muscle. He trained in marital arts and strength training. He is a high level crime boss who usually tangles with Spiderman and Daredevil for the most part. So hopefully we get her getting out of jail on a technicality and continuing in the crime biz. She was only really doing it to pay her husbands debt he owned to the Kingpin. But when she comes back they can definitely get more story out of that.

Kate Bishop's mom killed the old man in the first episode. She is probably going to become Madam Mask. Jack is known as the swordman in the comic book he's good sometimes he's bad. The Kingpin is not dead Maya shoots him in the head and he is temporarily blind until he has reconstructive surgery this is straight from the comic books as well.

Daredevil will appear in the “Echo” series that premieres in 2022. Also, Kingpin will appear in it as well. From the comics he gets shot and temporarily blinded.

Kingpin is not dead that last scene was straight from the comics. And the line "family doesn't always see eye to eye" is very important. As far as Spiderman there will be some kind of crossover because off all the Easter eggs in No way Home. Ie Dare devil, the Roger's musical poster. Also Dare Devil will show up in She Hulk.

'Am I not entertained?!' Great reaction! I'm all for willing suspension of disbelief and all, but the thing that irked me the most in the whole series was the fact that they plastered those heavy-behind, thick-behind LABELS onto something designed to be as precise as as Hawkeye's arrows!! I'm sure an arrow stays true with A LABEL HANGING OFF ONE SIDE!!Come on' Marvel? Also...fans continue to debate about what is and what is not canon in the MCU. It seems that the reveal of Laura as Agent 19 is disqualifying Agents of Shield as canon, since they already introduced Bobbi Morse as Agent 19 in that series. Or are we at a point where all things are possible due to the introduction of the multiverse? Thanks again ladies!

Kingpin has really dense skin, and what appears to be fat is all muscle.He’s super strong. Maya shoots him in the face and temporarily blinds him in the comics. Daredevil tries to capitalize and attack him, but kingpin healed quickly and faked injury to lure his enemies in. Daredevil plays lawyer for almost all the heroes at some point. She hulk too. Maya becomes an anti hero. Still a killer, but for good causes. In the comics maya is basically taskmaster, she can do anything she sees someone else do. And Clint and Kate are BOTH Hawkeye now.

The Kingpin has peak human strength. He's as strong as Captain America or stronger. He bear hugged Captain America in issue 147 and Cap was passing out until Falcon saved him.
