Kingpin actually wears armor underneath his clothes which is why he can take so much damage oh he also gets shot in the face in the comics and gets blinded..i dont kno how the mcu will do him but im sure he'll be back.
Turns out Stark was right when He called Laura Barton as "agent of somekind" and called The kids as "smaller agent" in the Age of Ultron. Laura is former Shield agent 😂👍🏼
@@billystokes3917 Yes! Sounds very simular to Bear McCreary's instrumental that was played on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D when Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter said goodbye to the other agents.
When Yelena and Clint starting to fight, thats where my tears start to drop. Its just sucks that Yelena didnt even say goodbye to Nat, you feel her pain and grief. Thanos sucks lol
So many things explained there, that weren't fully confirmed in Black Widow or Endgame. Why Natasha never searched for her sister until The Red Room and why she wanted to sacrifice herself - she loved her sister and wanted her to always be safe. Nice callback to Age of Ultron - noone but Natasha knew about Clint's family, moreover being an aunt to his kids; noone but Clint knew about Yelena and their childhood together. They just never had the time to reconnect and introduce each other, because of the Blip. Rewatching Endgame you can see much better how truly devastated and depressed Natasha was, and it how wasn't just because of Clint. And explains why Clint apologized in episode 5 for what he was about to do - he had to put on the suit, and he probably hated the sight of it because he was gone for Nat.
I was REAL pissed at first, until I realized they were literally setting up the fact that he has super strength/durability in the fight with Kate. If he tanked that explosion, he can tank that gunshot. He'll prob be in the Echo series.
From what I remember, Maya does indeed shoot him in the comics and it temporarily blinds him. So it's definitely a set up for her show. She's way too tied with that character for that to be it... Also, you don't kill a character that important off screen. For all we know, she didn't even shoot him. The gun just goes off. Marvel isn't that sloppy. They just aren't.
I don't think Kingpin has super strength tho. I'm guessing when Kate shot him in the chest, he's wearing that thin vest suit, the same as daredevil red suit made of.
I NEED more of Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova being BFF’s. She needs to be a main cast member for season 2.🤞🤞 Also I’m so freaking happy that moving from TV-MA on Netflix to TV-14 on Disney + didn’t even in the slightest but take away from how terrifying Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin truly is. And I love that they made him freakishly strong like in the comics.
Yeah, I mean this whole episode was pretty violent, it just didn't show blood. The grenade arrow, the freezing arrow guy realistically is losing a leg, Echo stabs Kazi, Jack uses his sword to take out like 4 people, Kate doesnt do the standard "shoot em in the shoulder, leg, arm or foot" She legit tries to kill Kingpin right off the bat by shooting him directly in the chest... Also, they might do a callback later for a joke, but for the time being the guys in the van might have had a horrific death via owl.
I’m glad someone else said it! The “sarcastic Hawaiian shirt Christmas look” was great. Shows even evil criminal masterminds can get into the holiday spirit
It's odd, this show isn't as thrilling as Loki or as emotionally gut wrenching as WandaVision, but I more thoroughly enjoyed watching Hawkeye versus any of the other MCU shows so far.
I disagree with your opinion compared to Loki. Loki was 6 episodes of nothing really happening. I found it slow and tedious. I have hawkeye in the top spot amongst the disney + shows
I think in my opinion, I missed Jeremy Renner more but that's probably because his series was announced and released after WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. For me, I missed him as Hawkeye and we all definitely was anticipating his llst Endgame story.
@@crankfastle8138 true, both wanda vision and loki's storytelling were so slow, the story doesnt even cover that much. while in hawkeye we got so much in just 6 eps
my guess on the watch is one of two things: my first guess is that she didn't actually "lose" it - Hawkeye had it with him as a way to keep her close to him during the blip and his days as Ronin and the tracksuits/Kingpin connected it to Ronin and were trying to figure out who Ronin was via that watch. Or my other guess is Laura wore it during her Shield days and she was the agent assigned to take down/mess up their business back in the past (maybe she infiltrated their group and or some group associated with Kingpin and caused problems and so Kingpin wants her dead).
The trick arrows are super awesome. The montage where we FINALLY see Clint making the arrows with Kate onscreen definitely lets us know that during his time with Shield and the Avengers, he was having a lot of fun on the side tinkering and coming up with handy tricks.
I enjoyed the finale. So glad that Clint made it 🏡 for 🎄 and brought Kate & Lucky with him. Also, like I expected, the apology scene to Yelena got me 💔
I love how much thought they put into the details. For instance, Kate's arrow labels are made with one of those label makers that embosses the letters, so she can feel the names of the arrows she's grabbing without taking her eyes off her target.
Is the song called "I Could Do This All Day"? God...I loved that so much I didn't even care there wasn't something more like an official post credit scene. I just friggin adored this! 10/10
This was an excellent finale!! Not to mention, seeing Vincent speaking and getting involved in this series was amazing!! I know he isn't dead. They can't just introduce him as Kingpin again just to get rid of him!! l However, he is badly injured lol
Yeah right. And it was funny when other people was complaining and says that they did kingpin dirty. I was like "tf?" Yeah this kingpin wasnt near his netflix counterpart but they should also remember that it was the beginning of his appearance in the MCU. And the next time he'll appear he will be more aggressive and angrier because of what happen in this finale.
The last scene with Echo and Kingpin is VERY comic accurate. Also the owl part was a callback to Rocky the owl that was found living in the Rockefeller tree last year. Kingpins Hawaiian shirt is a nod to the Amazing Spider-man: Family Business #1. Kingpin wears the exact same outfit and cane. Jack took up the role of the Swordsman from Avengers.
21:44 "All she would think about... was that you were safe. That never changed." So true Clint. So very true... I don't think I was emotionally going to feel so sad when he said that to Yelena. But Im glad Yelena got to hear the truth from him.
10:18 Your introduction/initiation into the MCU is complete when you get some form of an elevator fight scene. 🤣 Congrats Kate for having a fight with Yelena, a Black Widow.
Loved kingpin in this. I’m gonna argue this will be better than his daredevil run. For one tiny detail , it will have the same perfect acting of Vincent. But this time with an infusion of comic bookie super strength
That skate-ring scene.... Some people died on that ring, lol. 1 guy lost his leg, one was shot in the heart. Spikes flew all over the place. At least one has to have hit a neck or eye. The mini bus guys got eaten by an owl most likely. Christmas cheers all around:))
Vincent D'onofrio went online and stated that the kingpin you see in Hawkeye is the same in daredevil. He said it's no variants,no alterations.he wouldn't confirm if he was snapped or if most of his people he had in charge was but but he said there's a task of him trying to get his power back. Marvel said they cut a scene between him and hawkeye.it was supposed to be a post scene but wanted to have the holiday aspects at the end so the cut it.
24:00 SHIELD agent 19 is known by another codename--Mockingbird. And I love how the end of the show references how Kate Bishop is known in Marvel. She is HAWKEYE.
standard protocol for villiany is to draw law enforcement to a location away from your target by having part of your crew do something as a distraction. that would bind up the response time - not to mention Kingpin probably has enough police on the take that he could probably get a window opened up to where there's a delay actually getting the report out to the good guys.
I would have settled for having Coulson and Agent May in the crowd for the Rogers The Musical bit if that's all they were doing for the post-credits scene.
May you both have a very blessed and merry Christmas filled with joy and happiness. And thank you for making us smile and laugh throughout the whole year. Oh and Mia does shoot kingpin in the comics, but he is not killed.

that fight between Kate and Kingpin was so unexpected and nut! i was scared for my LIFE for her
Kingpin’s “death” was taken straight from the comics. In the comics, Maya shoots him point blank in the head. He survives, but is blinded. My guess is that’s the state we’ll find him in in Echo (it creates a nice parallel to another blind character who might appear in Echo…). As for the watch; It has the number 19 on it, for Agent 19 (AKA Mockingbird). My guess is it was intended to be a gift from SHIELD to her when she retired. Clint carried it on his person as a reminder of her when she was snapped and he toured the world as Ronin. Subsequently the watch was tied to Ronin, and Maya and the tracksuits sought the watch in hopes it would lead to him.
I think people forget that some normal, average, everyday people have actually survived a gunshot to the face or head - it's miraculous but it HAS happened. So someone like Kingpin who has tanked so much else, it's not unreasonable to think he would just also tank that gunshot as well (and we also have the comics to fall back on where the exact same thing happened).
Vinny D recently did an interview where he said that THIS kingpin is much stronger and could take much more physical damage so that would explain that (for Dustin)
Echo shot Kingpin in the face in the comics, too, during her first real confrontation with him. It blinded him for a while. Took him off the board for a long time. But he survived it. I think the thing he said about family not seeing"Eye to eye" is a reference to that. A bit of Easter egg from the actor for the rest of the comic book fans.
I really appreciate this show validating that Natasha made a choice. Look, I hated her death too. I hate that the women were the ones to die for the sacrifice of men. But I also never wanted Clint to die either, so it was a shit choice, but they made the choice for Nat to die and they made it Natasha's choice and we've spent too long questioning that instead of allowing her the agency to be in control of her own decisions. It's nice to finally give that back to her. I get what you guys are saying about wanting more, like Daredevil and Fisk, but this isn't their story. Fisk being in here was awesome and a cool set up for the future, but that's all it should be. This is a story about Hawkeye, both Kate and Clint, and it should end with their stories being fulfilled. It does leave bread crumbs, which I love, but it was their story and this is what it should have been.
Do you understand how saying you hate that women were the ones to die for the sacrifice of men? It was a sacrifice to save the universe. Tony died should I hate that a man died for the sacrifice of women? Whatever that's supposed to mean.
@@willt8848 On Vorimir, both Nat and Gamora died because of what they meant to the men they were paired with. It's not a trope I love. I also made it clear though that I understood why it was done. Women die all the time in the service of man pain. You can get triggered by me calling that out, doesn't make it less true. Now that being said, it was what Marvel chose to do and I've accepted that because I do think giving Nat that atonomy over her own choices is extremely important. Especially for a character that spent so much time without that ability. She was at least able to make the choice as opposed to Gamora who didn't have one. It also makes it easier to swallow knowing she DID save the universe. Again, differing from Gamora because she was thrown off the cliff simply to cause Thanos pain. I accept Nat's sacrifice as a sacrifice, it still bums me out, but like I said, this show has only validated it being Nat's choice. There's truth to all of it. They sacrificed two women for the pain of her male counterparts AND it was still Nat's choice to make. It is what it is.
There was a story in my town about a pair of goons who tried to demand protection money from a pub - unaware that it was a meeting spot of a medieval reenactment group - they turned out to be really fast runners once swords were drawn.
Laura (Much like Bobbi Morse), being a whole group of Mockingbirds to counteract the Black Widows that Russia had is a good story. Nice that she got the watch back. Kate and Yelena's ENTIRE interaction (and fight scenes), were just amazing, and I can see them picking up where Clint and Natasha left off with a friendship. I was hoping that we'd get more from Yelena and Clint, but I guess that's all that needed to be said. I'd like to believe Clint would tell Yelena stories about Nat sometime in the future, help Yelena fill in those gaps. No way Kingpin is dead---they're saving HIM for Echo's series I believe---and when Daredevil hits the main part of the MCU. Overall...what an amazing series---so much fun!
Haven't read the comments, but agent 19 is Mockingbird, so that's confirmed. Also her watch may have had Shield Intel on it. Also in the comics, Maya confronts Kingpin after finding out he had her father killed. She shoots him in the head and Kingpin goes blind from the wound.
I think they left the kingpin on "presumed dead" because that's the end of Maya's arc in this series. Her own series can feature the kingpin since the kill isn't confirmed but the presumed kill makes sense in the context of Maya's story as it relates to this standalone (whatever that means in the MCU) piece of storytelling.
I am a bit surprised Yelena just split after her fight with Hawkeye. I would've loved to have seen Aunt Yelena be introduced to Clint's family. I wonder if Yelena has to report back to Valentina or if Yelena is just on her own. I also thought Yelena would get involved in the fight against Trust A Bro when she saw everyone trying to kill Clint. If anything, she would want to kill Clint herself and not let anybody else do it. I think Kingpin took the gun away from Echo right when she fired or he knocked the gun away and then just let her leave. I like to think he did care for her and just let her leave safely. I think the post-credit scene shows Feige and/or the showrunner knew all along the whole time fans would love the Rogers musical from the start.
This was easily my favorite Marvel show so far! All the characters were amazing and there wasn’t a single bad episode for me. Plus all the cameos were spectacular✨
With Maya shooting Kingpin its taken from the comics. His eyes get damaged as shown in the comics and just remember what Fisk said to Maya before she shot him " Sometimes family doesn't see eye to eye." Which is a nod to that story. Kingpin was the one who needed the watch probably so he got Maya and the tracksuit mafia to get it so he could get information as much information on Clints family, seeing as he probably knew Clint was Ronin and needed leverage in case Ronin/Hawkeye/Clint came after him.
so Laura Barton is Agent 19. in the comics Agent 19 is Bobbi Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird. so that watch kinda confirmed that Hawkeye married Mockingbird just like in the comic. another 10 points for mcu
I personally love what they are doing with Kingpin, bringing him down. Now think about how many stories could be written on kingpin, just a broken man building his fortune back piece by piece and becoming more ruthless again and again
So, natasha was right that pain only makes you stronger. And that was the perfect parallel to Echo losing both her father and childhood friend, kazi. Looks like I will be rooting for a new favorite female character, Echo. I can't wait to see her own show. I think we'll be seeing more of her in Echo show.
Another great show! Kingpin is such a scary guy to talk to when he's upset. I believe Yelena could've easily knocked out Kate if she really wanted to, but I think she just secretly wants to "play" with her for a bit. Yelena's hair is AMAZING! Also No Way Home and the full Rogers Musical number are the best Christmas presents from Marvel! Merry Christmas to you couple!
I really enjoyed the season finale. After watching this episode, I really do hope Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova will have further interactions within the future of the MCU.
The watch isn't just a watch. Aside from having a tracking device in it, which they mentioned, Clint said something inside the watch has the key to the identity of a person he used to work with (Laura).
That fact that she is the MCU's MockingBird means they are truly separating the MCU's Shield away from The Agents of Shield. Even though seasons 1,2 and part of 3 parallel the MCU with Shields cleanup efforts of the movies aftermath that took part during those season's. So do we think that She may be apart of some shield flashbacks in any of the future shows like Armor Wars, Echo or Secret Invasion? I would love to see her more involved in some of the stories since they made this reveal and we know that Cobie Smulders is returning as well, more than like as the New Director of Shield just like in the comics while Fury will be the Director of SWORD.
