In the season finale of Hawkeye, Clint and Kate team-up to take down the real Kingpin pulling the strings behind the scenes, Wilson Fisk. Kate confronts her mother Eleanore about the murder of Armand, and her shady operating, while Clint attempts to make amends with Yelena over the death of Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow. Meanwhile, Maya Lopez confronts Kazi about the mysterious death of her father.

I like how they hinted at Kingpin being temporarily blinded by the shot to the face by Echo just like in comics when he said “We don’t see eye to eye”. Can’t wait to see what happens in Echo where we will most likely see him again in it because this is definitely not the last we have seen of him.

I feel like Hawkeye's main story between him and Nat has finally come full circle and ended pretty well. He let Nat go, deciding against killing her and collecting the bounty. Years later Yelena does the same for him. He may not be able to forgive himself for her death, but Yelena certainly did.

I think Yelena and Clint might become friends down the road, but right now, Yelena needs space and time to work out her feelings. The revenge and closure she thought she would get by killing Natasha's killer turned out to be a lie, but she's still hurt and grieving. She needs time to properly grieve and move on, which is why she walked away from Clint and didn't appear at the end of the episode.

The Laura Barton/Mockingbird revelation presents a link between Hawkeye and Secret Invasion. In the comics, Mockingbird is fluent in the Skrull language. Thus, she as well as Nick Fury would know how many Skrulls were apart of Shield originally. It would be great to see Clint, Laura, and Kate Bishop in Secret Invasion…

The owl’s actually an easter egg to real life: An owl took up residence at the Rockerfeller tree last year. Even inspired a children’s book. He’s now known as Rocky.

I think the shot went exactly like Kingpin’s last words indicate: “eye to eye.” Daredevil Vol. 2 #15 Echo shoots Kingpin in the face, blinding him until he can get experimental treatment to fix things.

Also just to add I just realized that the remaining OG heroes like Clint and Hulk and Thor probably won’t die in this phase and they’ll just go on to be mentor figures, I’ve gotten over the idea that all OG heroes have to die in order for the new generation to work😭

Unfortunately because RDJ and Chris Evans were so adamant about leaving the MCU I think after the epic finality of Endgame fans just assumed it was over for all of the OG 6 Avengers BUT if anyone else truly wanted out thats when it would have happened. Hell ScarJos character was killed and she still had a solo film! I think the remaining 4, especially Ruffalo and Renner who have had little to no personal development outside of group & other peoples films, are down to stay for as long as they can! We just keep thinking Hawkeye is done for because in universe they keep “retiring” him after they revealed he had a family.

Can we take a moment to acknowledge, and appreciate, that Kate has worn her combat boots almost their entire show. Even with her dresses. Woman is practical af. None of this silly badassery, running around in heels crap. If all these shows/movies with women fighting in heels were real life, I'm willing to bet there'd be a lot of rolled/sprained/broken ankles.

They are the new Hawkeye and Black Widow. If there's one thing I trust Marvel on, it's they are extremely aware of what's working and what's not. And these two have some great chemistry just like Clint and Natasha.

I think the first episode of "Echo" will outright answer what really happened that night when Maya pulled the trigger. Comics have been doing those sort of "stingers" for decades that eventually get answered. Wilson Fisk needs his official MCU rematch with Daredevil, after all.

@@lovinlorne Black Widow did some "soul searching" and atoning after Civil War. Captain Steve Rogers was a soldier in WW2 on the battlefield he was doing his duty. Pretty much the only Avengers who didn't care if they killed someone were War Machine, Iron Man, and Falcon (dude use to have dual sub machine guns, his drone had missiles and a gatling gun, before they nerfed him).

Actually in the comics Kingpin ends up blinded by Echo shooting him in the face. So this all rolls into him being in her series more as well.

Now that you mention it I actually think you are hitting on why this could be a variant Fisk removed from the Netflix continuity: S3 of Daredevil Kingpin goes away to prison for a long time thanks to Daredevil YET here in Hawkeye hes out and about no problem and it sounds like he has been for years? As a fan of the Netflix stuff I wouldn’t mind whatever direction they go in but I have a suspicion they are going to do things that contradict the Netflix shows BUT still stay vague enough about it to accommodate fans of the shows. Head canon time! lol 👍🏾😜

According to D'Onofrio on Twitter it's the same Kingpin. He survived the Snap but lost a lot of his power during those five years, so he's realigned with the Tracksuit Mafia (much weaker than his empire in _Daredevil_ back in the day). It seems Daredevil got dusted, so Fisk got out of prison without worries

My coworker and I rewatched the ending musical clip so he could show me what I missed: Adam Pascal (Rodger from Rent) is playing the Agent character and doing some fantastic singing. There were a few books rushed to print last year, including Diane Duane’s “Owl Be Home for Christmas,” where the owl gets ticked about the tree being stolen and puts together a team to take it back.

Somebody on the Marvel Studios subreddit said that Maya shooting point-blank range at Fisk was a reference to the comics where Fisk becomes blind. So it might be that. Also, no corpse means no death in my book lol

They actually never referred to the character in Agents of Shield as Mockingbird. They did name her Bobbi Morse, but that name may be like "Bond... James Bond." The face changes but the name gets passed around. They will, when they want to take AOS back to canon, figure that out. There is interest in bringing Quake to the MCU anyway, so it is possible.

Maya was the original Ronin in the comics. Clint got the persona from her (worded this way to avoid potential spoilers). Ronin's identity initially was a mystery. Everyone had assumed that Ronin was male, and most readers thought it was Matt Murdock. Brian Michael Bendis even admitted that the original plan was for it to be Murdock, but I guess they felt that was too obvious and wanted a bigger surprise at the reveal and made Maya Ronin. It will be interesting to see how Marvel manages to have Echo and Daredevil interact. I mean, like, in the field. Sitting down for coffee they could just text each other. In the comics it works because Maya can read Matt's lips and she can vocalize words for him to hear. I don't know if Alaqua Cox can vocalize or if she's ASL-only. While it's perfectly feasible for Charlie to learn ASL, and Matt by extension, if Alaqua can't speak neither can Maya. I suppose they could cheese out and give Matt the ability to "see" her signing. They could even have Alaqua mouth the words and overdub someone else's voice, but that strikes me as a terrible idea. Ah well. I'm sure they'll figure it out and that it will be true to both the deaf and blind communities.

One thing people don’t seem to realize is that Hawkeye introduced Tony to the idea of a healthy family amidst all the chaos in the world… and he mentored Parker as a result and Peter is the most likely reason Tony used his Infinity glove to restore 1/2 the universe.

There have been multiple characters who took on the mantle of Ronin in the comics, and obviously there were multiple Hawkeye's as well. So I'm okay with both Laura and Bobbi having been codenamed 'Mockingbird'.

I love that Kate and Clint are the protags but when Kate mashed the elevator buttons they sided with Yelena calling it annoying. I also love that after Elfing the buttons Kate gives Yelena some sass.
