i think they could still do the "squirrel girl beats literally anyone but you never see it happen" gag as a special animation where if you land one of her regular supers and the opponent's at low enough health that it's going to finish them off the camera pans to one of her squirrels eating a nut while you only get to _hear_ the sounds of squirrel girl kicking the other person's ass and by the time it pans back they're already downed

For the Thanos finisher, I like the idea of him not firing a laser or anything, but just...Snapping his fingers and dealing a massive amount of damage. If he finishes them off, there's a special animation where they just....Evaporate.

And then Akira got announced to Street Fighter V... crazy timing.

Even if I don't like some choices for the roster, I REALLY love that this is more based in the comics instead of saying "He's in the MCU, he gets in", because for me one of the worst decisions for a Marvel vs. Cacpom would be make it Marvel Cinematic Universe vs. Capcom instead of making it Marvel COMICS vs. Capcom

Chun-Li is in every Capcom crossover she's the 1st Lady Of Fighting Games how can she be excluded.

I love the fact that in the Game-We-Don't-Talk-About, it was all about the Infinity Gems and Capcom missed the opportunity to put in a Power Stone character like everyone expected. Let's hope they add one in the new game.

Unlike most of the comments here, I did watch your 2nd video on this. The roster with the full DLC does rectify most of the minor flubs here, though it’s pretty dang certain that things like Thor and Chun-Li being DLC would cause a major stink if that were to ever happen. An alternative is to at least make these two available, but unlockable.

A slight change for Asura... instead of low health, his level 3 only turns him into Berserker form... when his two allies are dead, because the crux for his Berserker form is losing a person he cared about, so I thought this would make more sense

My favorite part of this video is that by the Returning Characters alone, the roster was already better than Infinite

Squirrel Girl's level 3 super could be like the Raging Demon, where she just beats you up offscreen.

Just wanna say I love the video and that Capcom could learn a thing or two from you if they listened. BUT, what I happiest of all to hear was when you broke down how MvCI tried to turn Black Panther into a psuedo Wolverine and spoke of all the things he should have had in his arsenal of moves. For someone who loves T'challa and was happy to see him make the roster UNTIL I played him, Its great to see someone who's like minded on the topic.

If The Thing has Human Torch for one of his Supers, Then Mr. Fantastic (as DLC) should have his wife Invisible Woman in one of his Supers. That way the entire team is here.

For Squirrel Girl, you could ABSOLUTELY make her "off-panel" dealie work; just give her a super where she tackles you past the edge of the screen, then kick up a weird, cartoony violence cloud from offscreen, then cut/scroll back to her standing atop the opponent's crumpled body.

It's hilarious in hindsight that you cut Chun Li to make room for more non-Street Fighter characters, and Added Akira to include more obscure characters, and then they added Akira to Street Fighter V to nullify both XD

I have been a Black Panther fan since 94 when I discovered him in that Fantastic Four cartoon that was some what connected to the x-men and spider-man shows. I have also been a fan of the vsCapcom series from the start. I was happy when he showed up in Infinite but I was like he should have so much more than just claw based attacks. I was screaming tech, magic, and Dora Milajae glad to see someone else saw this and had the same reaction I did .

Personally, I feel like if you otherwise need to cut some legacy characters, I think it's worth it to lower the number of new characters a little bit. Loki without Thor would just be strange.

In MvC4, it would be so sick if Thanos actually got to use his gauntlet with all of the infinity stones. That would lead to such a cool character design.

For the Squirrel Girl special I was thinking maybe something like the raging demon move from Akuma, where the screen goes to black, we hear fighting noises, and then the image comes back with her enemy unexplainably lying on the floor beaten

I love this entire concept and I understand your thought process, but I'm still sad Nemsis and Frank West would be cut, but I could still see them in a Halloween Themed DLC with cool costumes (Maybe A Zombie Frank and a Nemisis skin based on R.E. Village)

Ngl I rly don't agree with the roster philosophy here. I do want more new characters but I do think there should be a large priority on bringing back beloved characters from 1 and especially 2. The main problem with Infinite was that the majority of the roster was retreads from 3.

Ideas for certain left out returning characters: Rocket Raccoon: Groot now has three levels: Baby, Teen, and Adult. Hyper Combo Ultra Groot Venom: Knull skin has a alternate Level 3 featuring Knull... or he can be featured as a stage Gamora: now features Nebula, a fight as one situation. Replaces shadow combination as both fighting at once. Amateraseau: Nothing really, just a very good dog. Nemesis: Remake twist Taskmaster: some more attacks would be nice. Nova: Summon the entire Nova corps for Level 3 And that's all I got. Looking forward to part 2!!!

46:40- I think for Mystique, you could take inspiration from Double, a character from Skullgirls. Double is a shape shifting entity, and each of her moves has her transform into a character from the roster to copy one move of theirs. For example, she copies a move from Filia for her standing light punch, a move from Peacock for her standing medium punch, a move from Cerebella for her standing heavy punch, et cetera.

An hour and a half and you have not MISSED. This is a great potential roster. Exceptional vid man. One of the best gaming vids I've seen.

Thor and Chun-Li being left out feels really weird. I understand your logic, but maybe bump the base roster (minus legacy characters) up to 50? Regardless, this sounds like a really hype roster and you’ve earned a new subscriber. On another note wrt this series as a whole: are you only going to tackle pre-existing fighting game franchises, or will you also tackle hypothetical newcomers to the genre? For example, I’ve always wanted to see an Avatar the Last Airbender fighting game, could that (or something similar) be a viable topic?

Rival Schools, Breath of Fire and Power Stone needs more love. I would love to see Demitri screaming Fire on the screen. Foul-lu and Ryu from Bof. Capcom can use the same method as Phoenix and Phoenix Wright. They can do Ryu from SF and say Ryu the Dragon from Bof or add Nina. We need a way better version of Megaman X as well with more moves

It's kinda a bad excuse to deny a character's spot cause they were in infinite. Like Ultron and Sigma and even Jedia. We know they would be returning but like...Every time you mentioned they were in infinite and "no one wants to remember it". To validate your reasons is unfair. But the list of the new characters had me HYPE AS FUCK...not gonna lie.

I would love to see a roster where each persons moves /super moves, interact with each other in a cool fusion. For example: Imagine Captain America with Guile and the super move has guile powering up Cap's shield with a Sonic boom somehow

Here's an Idea: when The Thing uses the super with Johnny, Ben Grimm could say something like "Watch it, Matchstick!" as The Human Torch shoots fire across the field.

I honestly think Chun-Li and Thor need to be here in place of other characters, but I really don't know who. In my opinion, we should remove one of the new characters from each side and put back those two, as they're just too big of characters to remove in my opinion

honestly i had an idea for where Nero's level 3 would trigger by knocking the opponent unconscious, followed by calling Nico at a phonebooth. then as Nico was driving to Nero's location, he would toss the unconscious opponent into where Nico was heading, having her run the opponent over with the van.

If we do get a Capcom vs Marvel 4, I really hope Ruby Heart comes back. She's so unique in design, and I always wished Capcom created a series just for her. But I know that will never ever happen.

Well, how about her lvl3 being a dash then a grab, screen goes black and then her- wait a second, that's the Raging Demon from Akuma. Would that be possible? BoF Nina could have a moveset kinda similar to that of Android 18/17 in Dragon ball fighterZ or Rocky/Groot in MvCI. Then people would see Ryu showing up more often, not only during a super. Also, they could make Mahvel1 Ryu. He'd spend a bar to get to use Ken's or Akuma's moves during the match. That way you would have an extra Legacy fighter spot available. OR THEY COULD JUST MAKE RYU INTO A GOOD CHARACTER, WHICH DOESN'T HAPPEN SINCE MARVEL1 (alright he was good in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, but still...) denjin hadouken, power of nothingness, five him something!! He was the only SF character that was in a pro player's team in tournaments. Just saying I absolutely loved your roster, man. Magik, Princess Devilot, Nero, Starlord, Rashid, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, The Thing!... I would love to see those characters in a future installment of Marvel.

Great concept of a roster you came up with, man. We’d love to see Miles and Leon get their times to shine in this series too :) With a series like this, we’d love to see you make a concept of a roster for a theoretically new Capcom vs. SNK game for future videos; even though we love Capcom vs SNK 2, what we love to see in the new installment is more variety in the roster than having too much Street Fighter and King of Fighters characters. Because I was spoiled by MvC1, CvS1 roster felt rather disappointing that it shouldn’t even be called Capcom vs SNK at the time; I mean, where’s Mega Man? Where’s Strider Hiryu? Where anyone else within the Capcom library of games than just Street Fighter? Well they have Morrigan in the home console version, but that’s about it. CvS2’s roster maybe better, but it still feels like it needs to be more versatile. And now that we have more ton of games on both company, this is a good opportunity to have a brand new installment of Capcom vs SNK to go all out with the roster than restrict itself with 1-5 series each. Don’t you agree? :D

Love the video! I liked the new additions, but there were definitely some head scratchers. Also some cutbacks felt unnecessary. You even said, MvC has a large roster to pull from, so I don't think 24 returning was enough. In my opinion, I think it should've been 32 returning veterans and 16 newcomers.

I’m pressed there’s no chun, but I may have fallen in love with this list when you stuck Murdock and the Thing in there. My life would be complete

1:06:35 If you really want an Onimusha character in the game, there’s always Soki from Dawn of Dreams. He wasn’t modeled after any real life person (that I know of) which is how he got into Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Actually I think for Hulk more simpler would be red hulk some fire damage but make him slower and super were he uses weapons meant to kill or damage big green giant.
