Alain Delon presents the Oscar® for Special Visual Effects for "Mary Poppins" to Peter Ellenshaw, Eustace Lycett and Hamilton Luske at the 37th Academy Awards in 1965. Hosted by Bob Hope.
This is a huge treat for me. Alain Delon looks so gorgeous in his elegant tuxedo. I've never seen a more exquisite man than Alain Delon. His English is good. There will never be a more handsome man than Alain Delon. Thumbs up!

aimforlifenow Cheated on his first love, Romy, Schneider as well as all his other hundreds of women. Then he denies paternity of his son and totally abandons his girlfriend and son who was eventually adopted by his mom’s husband. Good looks won’t get my respect .
mona2242 what?!? that’s so sad!! (just found out that two of his bodyguards died while working for him, both under “mysterious” circumstances... I don’t know about you but this dude gives me really scary vibes, I wonder what happened that made him become the way he is!)
In all my decades as a cinephile connoisseur I’ve never seen nor come across as a man like Delon, he is the epitome of style, stardom and masculinity, no one else comes close or compares.
Alain Delon had no flaws. It's amazing!! He loves animals, a great heart, very polite, handsome, and he even had a beautiful voice. It has no defect. How can be????
@@purplelove3666 the "mother nature" is a pantheist bullshit. lol atoms can think now. bullshit superstitions. Atoms can only follow the law of nature hence a higher being created that law and that's God
Seeing him speaking English surprisingly fluently, I was wondering whether the European actors at that time all needed to learn several foreign languages, especially English.
@@mona2242 and she had nothing to do with her own death, you have no idea what the relationships was like, considering she OD'd she may not have been to stable from the get go
@@mona2242 Well when he left her, it broke her for sure. But what killed her was her current urge to be loved to be capable of existing. He was an asshole to her, but a woman, especially as beautiful and sweet as her, must have known her worth.
Delon's coat tails here remind me of Joe in Sunset Blvd when Swanson bought him that suit with tails and he complained it was old fashioned and no one wore them anymore
Alain Delon was the first director's choice to play Michael Corleone in the movie The Godfather. He has refused this role. He didn't want to learn English with an Italien accent.
That's the free spirited attitude that i like about him, if he doesn't want to do something, he doesn't and that's all. and when I hear stories about him he has always been like that ever since he was young. he wanted to go to Chicago at 14 so he went and got in a boat (thankfully officers took him home), he wanted go away from his home so he joined the army, he wanted to live in paris so he did (after quitting the army), he started acting seriously when he decided he should be number one and he did become just that. His attitude makes 60% of his attractiveness to me.
Fay Wray!!! What a great cutaway to the legendary star of THE film that was the granddaddy of Special Effects films--King Kong! That's Fay's daughter, Victoria, sitting next to her. Victoria's father was the Oscar winning screenwriter of It Happened One Night.
Delon isn't gorgeous; he is a genetic accident, an anomaly. Imagine being so ridiculously beautiful as to make Paul Newman, James Dean and Brad Pitt look average. He has no rival, no modern actor or model comes close to Delon's beauty in his prime. He is the most beautiful man to ever walk this earth.
Didn’t get the jokes. Even when Delon said something as a joke. "shit's not coin Bruges" means what? Perhaps the caption didn’t print it correctly in subtitles.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Well, someone had to say it. Thanks for posting. May I ask that you post "In the Heat of the Night" being named best picture by Julie Andrews? Cheers.
Please upload the wins for 2001: A Space Odyssey, Superman, Alien, E.T., Aliens, Total Recall, Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, Babe, Independence Day, Titanic, What Dreams May Come, Spider-Man 2, King Kong, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Golden Compass, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, & Avatar!
@@richarddixon7855 wow, I can see, is an amazing song, isn't it? What happened maybe is that many songs that used to be so famous before by certain rythms (yesterday, besame mucho, garota de Ipanema), were translated into another language which could become more familiar to someone in particular. In my case that happened with Edith Piaf's La Foule, as well. In Spanish there's so many covers from it. Thank you very much, by the way!
The best visual effect was the smile of Julie Andrews. I like her so much. I loved that moovie and yes, the.visual effets were really good, every thing looked natural.
Alain Delon said he was glad to be in Hollywood, although it is spring in Paris now and chestnuts are in bloom, these are lines from Ella Fitzgerald's song "April, chestnuts are in bloom in Paris." And he uttered the words in her manner)) Therefore, everyone laughs.
yes dr strangelove ....looking very radiant there in the audince.....he somehow seems younger there than he appears in the movie for which he is cheering
