@davicool4284 My family and I travel to 10 to 12 different countries per year. We feel safer in those countries than anywhere in America. No where in the world are their mass shootings in schools, public schools, Private catholic schools, private ,Christian schools, churches, grocery stores, airport had shootings, Las vegas hotel outside concert, hospital, doctor's office, movie theaters, Malls, shopping centers. I would advise you to start traveling outside of America so you can feel safe and really see how people are not living in fear. In some countries in Europe, the parents leave their kids in strollers outside of stores while the baby is sleeping. Imagine, you doing this in America, that child would be gone and police would find ypur child dead.

After 10-1-23 no guns in most buildings until the courts spank bill SB1 but you can still keep a loaded gun locked in your vehicle with a W&C permit in MD. keep ur gun in a quick access biometric safe and you are at least able to have a chance against car jackers-criminals that try to harm you in your vehicle.

Crime in rural America is on the rise as well(its honestly always been bad but no one talks about that). you can try and make it about democrat vs republican but I last time a checked a lot of these cities you mentioned had republican state governors.

Baltimore is a scary place to live. My grandmother used to leave her front door unlocked on Mount Holly Street. Back then, people worked hard and stayed out of trouble. It looks like the democratic party has impacted society much more than we think, especially within the past several generations. I own numerous investment properties in Baltimore, majority of Baltimore is developed. Memphis Tennessee, Kentucky, west Virginia are worst than Baltimore. My husband is from Menphis Tenn and refuse to do any real estate investment there due to their extremely high level crimes and robbery. It's worst than Baltimore trust me

You know what I used to do? I used to knock on doors and ask for work too. Then you know what I did? I did the work they asked me to do and then I got paid. Cleaning fence rows, mowing their yards and🎉 cleaning up their garages,or whatever they needed done. Then they gave my number to their friends and neighbors who then called me and I did work for them also. All this after I went to school all day. It's really not that hard to do the right thing. Then you can like what you see in the mirror.

Went thru a similar shuck and con in Detroit in 1968. Only difference is I had a .41 Magnum revolver and a German Shepard dog. It was 3 on 1 and I won. We live in Bethesda, Maryland. You MUST have a Ring camera in Maryland, even in Bethesda. There are so many sketchy people in this state that it's unwise to answer the door for anyone we don't recognize or isn't clearly a REAL delivery person. When someone rings the doorbell who we don't recognize, who isn't delivering something, we don't answer the door or respond through the speaker, we just ignore it. It's not that unusual for people to angrily scream "racist" at the Ring camera, confirming we made the correct choice to ignore them.
A back door visitor in a rural area gets to meet THE DOGS first. They know the neighbors. If they DON'T know you, their barking will identify you to the neighborhood. We each know each other's dogs, and their ALERT bark. We can tell where you are by who is barking. I humbly suggest this is the oldest alarm system known to man. I am personally outraged at this person...there are thousands of people desperately looking for work. How DARE HE use that for a robbery!!! I'm so very happy he left his name and phone number. Now it's on US to find him! Ring camera is definitely necessary these days....but keep a dog. PEOPLE can still fool us, but not the dogs. They read INTENT.
