@Roland Krüger Cool! Thanks for the info! What else has been fixed? Is there a changelog? 🙂 I'm experiencing 3-4 audio drop outs after approx. 40 seconds, when EARC is enabled on my LG C1 TV. It first happens when coming from one of the HDMI inputs on the receiver with Dolby Atmos and over to TV AUDIO. This happens both on Cinema 40 and 50.

Hello Masimo Team, hello Roland Unfortunately there is a problem with active wireless subs: All delays are set to 20ms, except for the sub, which is then at 0ms. The problem seems to be that 20ms is the largest delay you can set. There was an update on this with other manufacturers where the maximum delay was changed to 50ms. Is something like this pending? Is there any other way to solve the problem? Greetings from Germany! Thomas

I'm experiencing a similar problem. Did you find a solution?

@@Exalix No, there is no real solution to the problem. Masimo would have to move the limit from 20ms to something like 60ms. However, I have been able to reduce the problem. With the program REW I measured the response of the speakers. By changing the phase of my subwoofer I could already achieve something, then I entered the calculated values manually, whereby the subwoofer always gets 0 ms and the next speaker to your ears just 20ms. The rest is calculating and approximating. Unfortunately DiRAC does not do this, if a value is exceeded, all values are simply set to 20ms, which tears the sound completely apart. It works fine for me now, but everyone with a wireless subwoofer should have the problem.

@@thomasw.5411 Thanks for replying. I'm using SVS SB-4000. Not wireless. The subwoofer is set to 0 ms, but the surround speakers are set to 20ms, så they must have "hit the ms wall". I did not have problems when using Audyssey and Dspeaker(calibration unit only for sub adding 90cm delay). With Audyssey+Dspeaker the distance was ¨5 meters, and distance to surround 1.5meters from MLP. When converting to ms, it's nowhere near 20ms either way it's calculated. 1 ms = 34 cm. 20ms = 6,8 meters. See people was hitting the 20 ms wall with Onkyo receivers, and they released a firmware extending the delay time up to 50ms. Lets hope Masimo do the same. What if I took the delay distances calculated from Audyssey and converted them to ms and enter them in manually for Preset 2 where Dirac sits.? Would that work?

Yes, this definitely works better than having all speakers set to 20ms. But I would use the entire adjustment range. So: If you use DIRAC, you can see the response of the loudspeakers after the measurement. The sub then has a value of over 20ms. Now do the following: First see if the phase is shifted after the correction. If so, adjust the phase control of the sub. Then measure again. If the phase fits and the value is still outside of 20ms, note down the individual response values of the other loudspeakers. The speaker with the shortest time is e.g. at 27ms and then receives the 20ms, with the other speakers you simply subtract the difference, i.e. the 7ms. You then enter the values manually into the amplifier. The sub then has 0ms, the next speaker has 20ms and the others are in between. This isn't ideal, but it's the only way that at least ONLY the sub will lag.

@@thomasw.5411 Thanks for explaining in detail. I will fire up REW and do some testing. I don't understand in the first place why my surrounds are getting 20ms. The DSP inside the SVS sub has only a latency of 2-3 ms. My room is not very large. The sub sits in the corner far left side. The surround speaker nearest should have less ms right? I'm afraid there is a bug somewhere.
