Most right-minded and logical ppl and athletes will never back, respect or fully support someone with such a reckless disgusting disposition. Wonder where it stems from & why he's been running rampant for awhile. Debilitating and giving someone an injury that could be career ending is TRASH!! He hasn't met someone to match his energy & corrupted mission

@@JrnMnd08 ehhhh you definitely don’t see guys ripping subs at the highest levels of bjj, and the guys that do aren’t looked at very favorably. It’s extremely competitive and injuries happen but (usually) not that ruthless.

@@JrnMnd08 not true. Look at Gordon Ryan. Best No-Gi practitioner of all time and he always gives his opponents the opportunity to tap when he has their limbs before really cranking it to a dangerous point.

I think because BJJ has a bad rap around being unmasculine/gay people are trying to prove how hard and risky it can be by showing severe consequences.

It's not that most people are scared of getting hurt its because they cant afford to get injured by some ego maniac and not be able to work etc.

The funny thing is when that 16yr gets humbled it might ruin his career. He needs more positivity around him. The one person I can think of who was in the UFC , no one respected him they hated him no matter how many times he won. Jake Shields punched him in the face because it's disrespectful. Crank to submit not to injure. The D-Death squad has won match after match without injuring thier opponents. Just for bragging rights, he'll meet his fate and that's terrible because he could have someone their teaching him the right way.

Once it comes back to him he’ll be toasted, as soon as someone rips a leg lock or arm bar on him he’ll be done for guaranteed he doesn’t have it in him.

I think this makes competitive ju jitsu look bad: guys willing to hurt other guys in amateur sport. Somehow it seems worse to shred a guy's knee because he is slow to tap than, say, to punch too hard inspiring. Maybe I'm wrong though. Perhaps this is what high level competitors sign up for.

In these tournaments, can an inexperienced hobbyist go against a leg breaker? Is it like a local powerlifting meet where you have somebody squatting 135 and someone else squatting 650 the same day?
@cro_magnum
@cro_magnum Год назад
No. Most of Pat's matches are either superfights (1v1) or high level tournaments where you have to apply for entrance.
@liamdoes8580
@liamdoes8580 10 месяцев назад
Nah probably not. There's not a lot of tournaments that will allow heel hooks at blue or purple belt and imo if you're a blue belt signing up for a tournament with heel hooks you should know what you're signing up for

No, especially the invite only events - at those events their top level practitioners. For things like NAGA and IBJJF they broke up No-Gi by experience level. So it’ll be people have been training for less than 6, people who’ve been trying 6 months to 2 years, 2 years to 5 years, and 5 years plus. Then also broken up by weight within those experience levels as well. The dangerous part for a newbie is training at a gym with a bad culture where an experienced guy might injure a newbie because they go to hard

one thing noone talks about is guys who refuse to tap at practice cuz they know u wont break their shit.... to some degree to compete at bjj tourneys u have to be willing to break the limb if they refuse to submit ...also in the street as well

He actually appears to have an excellent father figure. But his daddy likes jiu jitsu so he might be hearing it's okay to break limbs in competitions from daddy. Lord knows I'm hearing plenty of shit like that in the jiu jitsu gyms, and at much lower level tournaments than Shogholi is in. I've gotta tell you I'm not a pat shogholi fan, my legs hurt when you say his name. And I believe he has really harmed people but I don't know enough to know for sure that he's a horrible person. But if you say this is daddy issues I'm gonna say that's not true.

Is the kid holding stuff after they tap or is he breaking peoples limbs cause they have too much ego to tap. At a high level guys will not tap if they dont feel stuff will get broke. If you dont want to get injured you need to tap.

@@Harps555 all the top heel hookers do that, it isnt until people have that reputation of breaking stuff that people start tapping when they should. I bet most thought a fat 16 year old couldnt beat them so they waited too long to tap. The problem is at the highest level guys wont tap if they dont think it will get broke.

I hate this idea that kids just absolutely don't think about the "long term" because of not being fully developed. Yeah I didn't think about a lot of things when I was 16, but I still knew shit like this kid was doing was wrong, and wouldn't actively aim to do it, and MOST don't. It's just giving an out to the minority who clearly have an issue,.
