Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, has been identified as the suspect who allegedly leaked classified U.S. intelligence documents online. WBZ-TV's Christina Hager reports.
Now he's voted most likely to expose Biden's secrets!!!....Yes Sir!!! otherwise, they'd be making no big deal of they way they made no big deal over Biden having classified documents in his garage and 4 other places....
What're the chances they aren't making a fall guy out of some poor, dumb kid? I mean, seriously, why would they let someone that age and rank have access to enough information to cause serious damage?
If you have the intelligence, nowadays, you can can surpass levels (stages) within the military. You can skip being a Private, if you have gone to college after high school. But in today's world, just learning about computers, can get you where you want to be. Be what you can be, in the Army! Seig heil!
The guy is an airman first class E2 who works under supervision of intelligence NCO and Officers. What kind of oversight did he have to access top secret documents and download them on his personal computer??? Many people will swing on this breach!
I didn’t even have that type of clearance and I still a to sign a statement saying I would not reprint documents because my MOS was lithographer. He is in so much freaking smh
The funniest thing is we don't know if he actually did leaked documents so they're just pointing the nearest person that can find in their own recruitment system or army that arrest them for the document leaks because they can't find the main source source lmao
Exactly. i walked into the living room and saw an armored vehicle with 6 guys in body armor with assault rifles arresting a child. i just thought mehh 2023, it tracks.
@@TomSmith-sr2br It was just an explanation of how i came in contact with this ridiculous story. If you are not careful i will disturb you with details of my latest trip to KFC!
A lot of jobs require it. A TS clearance is rank dependent. There are 17 and 18 year olds that get a TS clearance every day. Hell the avg age in the active military is 22.5. I can tell you haven’t served since you are asking this. Why not try googling before you comment?
Mofo, I'm 20 and I have a secret clearance, it's job dependent. If your job entails that you so much as even touch something that has secret things on it, you're gonna get a secret clearance.
For real, these bootlickers are DISGUSTING. They choose to be willfully ignorant while our country is constantly involved in disgusting acts. These politicians don't gaf about us. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a mindless sheep.
His age is irrelevant in the military. It all depends upon his job and his security clearance. It also depends upon if he accessed something he was not supposed to. Again, his age is a nonfactor. And if he decided to do something nefarious with the information, his age would be irrelevant in how he is prosecuted. He is WELL aware of the consequences of his actions. He knows what his security clearance intails and why. He also knows EXACTLY what is considered classified and should not be accessed by him. He knows his job because he's been trained to know and and he knows what is not his job and what's illegal. Young and dumb don't work here.
The wording was "serious" damage. That's the wording for Secret documents, not Top Secret. Although considering what was in the documents, maybe it should have been marked as Top Secret.
Most importantly what was the information he leaked about? Who did he give it to and why did he feel he could do so without thinking he’d get away with it.
I think this little boy is not alone in this leaking documents, there are others in height level, they just sacrificed him and protect themselves form any suspicious.
This feels...off. Something about how fast they determined the man's involvement. Edit- They claim he was in Airforce cyber transport for 4 years and must have had clearance, but he is only 21 years old and would have KNOWN he would be damning himself for doing something like this.
Can’t speak for the Air Force but all three components of the Army (active, NG, and reserve) all deal with sensitive material depending upon clearance and MOS.
Yeah a PFC Massachusetts guardsman. As if the Ma national guard is going to patch straight into Pentagram top secret files involving things they obviously have nothing to do with. Not just that somehow the news choppers just happened to be there to film his arrest which ridiculously included an armored vehicle and at least 6 guys kitted out to invade Baghdad. When it looks and smells like BS there is a very good chance it is BS.
Not just "classified" Patricia -- "Top Secret." You must have two things to get your hands on such material; 1) a TS security clearance (which requires a full - in-the-street - FBI background investigation) and 2) an official, duty-related, "need to know" what's in the documents. Hard to imagine that baby-faced child had a TS clearance as an Airman 1st Class...and harder to believe he had a need to know the type of international strategic assessment information that was leaked. Keep asking you questions.
It is the military, guard or active duty. His job required him to have the clearance. Security clearance is not based on your age or time in service. Based on job and need to know.
It doesn't matter with the rank but depends on the job he did. I was a junior enlisted soldier when I was in the Army and i was entrusted with classified information. I even had higher clearance than some officers in my unit.
People really don't know shit about how the military works 🤣 they think only generals have classified information. How is the military supposed to operate if the actual workers don't know what's going on? Of course lower rank people have clearances to be able to work
Don’t even try to paint him as a Patsy. He was a member of the guard, and he betrayed his oath and trust allegedly. If he is indeed, guilty of this crime, he deserves no second chance, and no break. He was old enough to enlist and serve this country, if he betrayed it, he deserves to be punished in accordance to the crime he has committed.
It’s hard to feel loyalty to a nation that wants to ethnically replace you while making you pay taxes to fund the wars of your racial brothers being slaughtered
This just screams “I did it for trump”. Right wingers are known to betray the very country they claim to love. Look up who accounts for 90% of domestic terrorism in the US. (White republican men)
Anyone else find it odd that Ma national guard units have access to top secret Pentagram documents regarding matters they have nothing to do with? The arrest itself is sketchy an armored vehicle and at least 6 guys kitted out to invade Baghdad. Oh, lets not forget somehow a chopper happened to be there to video the whole thing, and OF COURSE there was a mandatory girl boss on scene. News sometimes resembles a "reality" show, this one one of those times.
@@Jonathan-om1wq A weekend warrior inteligence unit who all swore oaths to the governor of Massachusets. There is no GOOD reason for the Pentagram to share out such things to them.
@@robdixson196 *Intelligence, *Pentagon, and Guardsmen don't swear oaths to the Governor. Smart dumbass accessed information he shouldn't have via his Intelligence unit, then shared it with people he DEFINITELY shouldn't have. Stop working yourself into a frenzy, that's all there is to it
@@robdixson196 Pentagon. And again, it's a military unit, weekend warrior maybe, but if his job includes so much as punching crypto or handling mission cards, then he's gonna get a secret clearance and have access to those files. People seem to forget that aircraft have a LOT of items and software on them that are classified as secret or above, especially crypto.
So you mean to tell me, that a Airmen 1st Class (That’s like a PFC in the Army) with 4 years in the NG, not even active, who’s MOS is in essentially cyber security managed to gain access to top secret classified files that involved the cooperation of multiple U.S. agencies, top leadership staff and collaboration intel between US and Ukraine against Russia all without anyone noticing and just so happens to post this information online utilizing different access networks like Minecraft and Discord? Yeah, that’s about as believable as saying a newborn baby hacked the president’s nuclear launch codes and sent them flying to the moon
The designation of "serious" damage is for Secret, not Top Secret. You could argue that maybe the documents should have been marked Top Secret, though. As for the ability to post Secret to Discord, that's not even hard. I have a Secret clearance. I could go do that right now if I wanted to. You have to have a measure of trust in people with security clearances. For anyone who has been in the military, nothing about this sounds unbelievable.
@@rainman6090 You might be right but who knows. People can say whatever they want, even with or lack of evidence. We live in an age where perspective can be shaped by anything. I’ll still be a skeptic but who knows, maybe you’re right. Time will tell I guess
Treason? Did he sell the documents and get money? How do I know he's not as just a whistleblower? Do we know what was in the documents that he was leaking maybe something to enlighten the American citizens about what their government's doing.? It didn't say he sold them so if he didn't profit over them...
Life in prison? We go through these trainings all the time in the army. We have to read these stories about people who sold documents for 10 $100,000 to the Chinese and they got 10 or 20 years in prison. So did this guy profit from it cuz if he didn't he might not get any prison time.
@@rstanis2 I hope that he doesn’t go away for life. My understanding of federal espionage punishments is that it can be up to 20 years per charge and sentences can even be any term up to life. It all depends on how aggressively the government wants to go after him. I’m not in favor of whistleblower retaliation, by the way.
The U.S. Military is a joke when it comes to firing/terminating anyone with a federal job. This "Chair Force" weekend warrior should get 15 years in Guantanamo Bay prison.
If his intentions were to simply impress his online friends, that is not very defensible. On the other hand, the government does not have the right to deceive it’s citizens. A democratic republic is supposed to be the consent of the governed, which means transparency. Seems like maybe he did the right thing for the wrong reasons.
@@niceguymlady the government definitely wants to silence and detour whistleblowers - the prosecution of the journalist Julian Assange being the most high profile example.
@@justreignyt who lied to you? 😂 Not everyone in the military gets security clearance. It is MOS based. He wasn’t even on active orders, so there’s no reason he would have this information. Do you know what did occur before these documents were leaked? Think really hard. Just a week before this the Pentagon was trying to dodge questions about how China was sending sensitive information from US bases back to its own surveillance. I now know how the media will cover up for Biden, and sink anyone to do so. 🐑
ty! I was in the actual army for 6.5 and my husband is still in with over 20. We both have only ever had Secret clearance. Nothing more. Never have we had access all willy nilly to any top secret or classified paperwork. I get that he was a transport whatever they said, but air guard and at his rank? somethings weird about this....

@@soccerguy2433 Yeah? The Ma nation guard is sworn to the governor of Ma. They are tasked with the defense of the Massachusets airspace. Why exactly do they need access to battle plans for a GROUND offensive in a foreign country, by a foreign proxy army? It is nothing short of clown car absurd.

Always? So you’re saying literally nothing can be taken at face value? That seems just as silly as believing everything you’re told. The truth often lays somewhere in the middle.
Essentially the US was spying on ally’s, The actual casualty count for Ukraine and Russia. Also SOF Forces from GBR and the US are in Ukraine. The US doesn’t believe that Ukraines spring offensive will work out. Also the leak says that Ukraine will loose air superiority in May.
Pretty much that Russia is dismantling Ukr n Ukr is quickly running out of funds n resources and is asking for 50 Billion more from US.. it also shows the death counts and portrayal of Russia being contained, loosing huge amounts of soldiers, and is losing in Ukr is pretty all propa BS.
This reminds me of the multiple times on War Thunder forums where classified documents on tanks and tank shells were released by players to prove their point.
???? Bruh, after Trump use of unsecured use of telecommunication devices, private conversations with Putin, Putin's top spy, and taking their word over US spies and security forces you're going bring up Clinton's use of a server that was only vulnerable to a breach? The difference is Trump and this kid actively gave away State secrets.
Excuse my ignorance. HOW can a 21-year old have access to classified documents, more importantly, WHY such important documents are handled by a newbie?
I've used the secret DOD network before and tbh, nothing I saw on there wasn't already on wikipedia. Makes me wonder what kind of info national guard has for this kind of national attention. Or what else is going on...
@@Jonathan-om1wq Doesnt mean anything. You cant access the secret (SIPR) network unless you have necessary clearance, access to the drop, and a government computer. And all the information is the same regardless of job. My experience with people in Intel is that they're far from intelligent. There are rare exceptions but the exceptions are smart enough to not brag about being Intel and definitely not dumb enough to purposely share any secret info. Likely story is he was bragging and trying to make himself up to be somebody he isn't on Xbox while getting his *** kicked in call of duty. Some dude had enough of him and called him in. How in the world does an E-3 gain access to these types of files. He is a recently promoted E-3, and I would be surprised if he even had a confidential clearance. The lowest of all security clearances. These documents would at the very least be top secret. It's a puzzle. I was an E-6 working in a Flag office. It took several months for my TS clearance to go through when I first got that assignment. Of course that was many years ago. Maybe times and protocols have slipped a bit? This young man's future is about to be seriously altered.
A background investigation and the right job is all you need for Top Secret clearance. I knew plenty of people who got it after a couple months in technical training, and you can be E1 and 18 at that time.
How much you wanna bet he’s the fall guy? Dude is like an E2 how the hell he’s getting access to top secret documents? Usually high ranking officers get access to top secret information.
@@olufade11 it flew over military bases. Look it up. Not a month later this info appeared online. The information that was given an A1C wouldn’t have access too. Little alone someone in the guard who’s not on deployment, or on active orders.
@@olufade11 there is no way an A1C who’s not on deployment, or active status, would have this information.
