Here is a rundown of the major decisions that I made in order to gain 8,110 war assets by the end of Mass Effect 3: -Completed every side mission and recovered all war assets from planet scanning -Completed all four DLC - From Ashes, Leviathan, Omega and Citadel -Sabotaged the genophage cure - Mordin died, Eve and Wreav were alive for maximum Krogan + Salarian support -Brokered peace between the Quarians and Geth -Raised Citadel Defense Force with conversations and Spectre Terminal authorizations -All squadmates survived Mass Effect 2 final mission Mistakes that cost me war assets -Destroyed Rachni Queen in Mass Effect 1 -100 -Garrus shot Ashley Williams on Citadel in ME3 -25
@johnspartan98
@johnspartan98 3 года назад
I did it by saving the counsel, having Wrex bumped off, getting rid of Ashley, getting all the loyalties with team members in Me2, saving everyone, deleting the genophage data, destroying the reaper, saving Mordin, saving the Geth and the Quorians, getting all the assets from scanning planets, completing all the missions, doing the Broker DLC, Citadel DLC, Leviathan DLC, and taking back Omega DLC. I also got the Illusive Man to commit suicide. I got more than 8,000 readiness as Engineer. After watching your video I went back to the final part at the end and tried the destroy option and got the scene where Shep lives. I always wondered about that because I never got that scene so I stopped trying the destroy option. What I would do is stop the Game and watch the happy ending video to avoid the depression caused by any one of the three crappy endings. Thanks for the tip. PS: I would never let Mordin die. The Krogan are easily fooled and you don't lose any assets by saving him. Besides, after the war the Galaxy would need time to recuperate and the Krogan would just attack because the Galaxy would be weak....so lying to them was a blast......Suckers....ba...ha...ha...ha...haaaaa.

Whats funny about the whole thing, even though you lose salarian support when you cure the genophage, you end up getting that support back anyways later on in the game. And they already have said that galactic readiness rating will be adjusted somehow because of the lack of multiplayer.
@Paludion
@Paludion 3 года назад
I read the wiki and it's not the same fleet you're getting. If you sabotage the cure, you get the Salarian's First Fleet, and apparently they got dreadnoughts with the same stealth system as the Normandy (you never get to see them in action, of course). You get automatically the salarian's Third Fleet after Cerberus attempted coup on the Citadel.
@agama5538

Galactic readiness i think will work on a scaling system depending on shepards affinity to the other races.
@agama5538
@agama5538 3 года назад
@@Paludion But, you get the entire Krogan race and not just a fleet. And you can still get to 8000 without sabotaging the genophage. Wrex must live, Maelons research must exist, Mordin must be in 3. All solar systems must be scanned ragardless of reaper pursuit. All side quests must be completed in record time. Spare as many people as possible in previous games (paragon) and have dlc content.
@brainconqueror8095
@brainconqueror8095 3 года назад
@@agama5538 the difference is 75 war assets. With Wreav as leader and the cure sabotaged you get 150 from the stealthy dreadnought fleet. With Wrex as leader and the genophage cured, you lose the fleet but gain +5 from Wrex himself and +75 from some mercs he convinces to rejoin the clans. But those 75 give you a buffer to do other things like killing off Balak in the first game, recruiting Ashley or Kaidan, not forgiving Kelly tattling on you to TIM, letting Gavin Archer kill himself etc. On a bigger perspective, I think the Krogan are going to become a future problem because there is way too much of the vengeful deadwood left over from the Rebellions. Eve’s influence will diminish since she is now just another fertile female and Wrex is a single point of failure. But with the genophage sabotaged and Eve as the only cured female, her influence becomes amplified. She can let the old deadwood die out, then become the progenitor for a new Krogan generation shaped in her image alone.
@decimation9780
@decimation9780 2 года назад
@@brainconqueror8095 The last time the Krogan's got uppity, the Council only had the Turians for proper military support. Now they also have the Alliance, shattered though it’s navy was after the Crucible was fired. Though you are forgetting that not only would Wrex and Clan Urdnot put down Krogan who want to go on the warpath, considering that Wrex has seen his people make the same mistakes and get scorched because of it, but since the canon ending to 3 is shaping up to be Destroy, the Krogan would be forced to rebuild completely, both population as well as technology, and considering the strained resources anyways, it’s likely that we wouldn’t see another Krogan rebellion at all, not after the warlords get axed to prevent another rebellion and subsequent genocide from happening.

For ME3 to get both Krogan and Salerian support you need both Mordin and Wrex alive with the STG squad survival in the vermire mission. 1 Mordin's sacrifice fosters goodwill as well as Wrex's more agreeable nature. I still wish that the VS wasn't treated like a plot device in ME3 for new players to explore Shepard ties with Cerberus (Shepard almost got a mind control chip thanks to Miranda so that's fair to question) and had their development elevated to more than a role of a cameo in ME2, we know the Alliance was keeping them in the dark as much as possible to protect the image of their new poster child but imagine had we ran into them and chosen to resolve the situation, as best as it could have been, much like Liara joined us in her excellent DLC mission.

To me, that just proves the reapers right; that organic and synthetic life cannot coexist. Plus, I did all that work to save the Geth, and I just can’t force Joker to lose EDI. I get it, we all want shepard to survive, but for me that's not the best ending, i mean, choosing that means wiping out all Synths, not just the reapers, it means, EDI dies, Legion and the Geth die (turning the choice of saving both Quarians and geth into just "math" Problem) and so on, imo one of the other endings is better from a "galactic" Point of view, yes, Shepard dies, but everybody else survives, the cicle stops and the reapers help rebuild the damaged galaxy. That's why im both hyped and afraid for the next game, making just one ending canon, means that your choices in the previous story "never happened".

There is one more thing I remember a long time once the extended cut dlc came out. They made a patch that no longer required multiplayer galactic readiness to get the best possible ending. You only need now around 3100-4000 EMS to achieve all possible endings. This was done because certain players had issues that they felt forced to play an aspect of the game (multiplayer) in order to achieve the best ending.

My only theory to why Shepard survives in the destroy ending (with enough war assets) is because the synthetic parts on his body was only there as kind of a jump start for his vitals while at same time repairing the damages sustained from the beginning of ME2, most of those augmentations and synthetics was not needed after Shepard's recovery in ME2. If this theory can't stand on it's own then you may have pointed out a major plot hole, unless anyone here can make a better theory than mine.

The multiple player was not bad it was interesting. Because it was not your standard multiple player. It had different rounds so to speak some where basic just kill the enemy. Then others would have different objectives like everyone has to be in one area for X amount of time to hack something. Basically the more people that is the multiple player had 4 max for each game. But the more people in that area the faster the hack went. Then there was get specific things an carry it to a drop off area. But you could not fight if you had the item so the multiple player was interesting. It was never the same thing each round or wave as they called it. The enemy's also got harder each round or wave you also had different enemy options. Like the Geth or Reepers the ground units an the Collector's. I don't remember but there may of been Cerberus as a option as well it's been years since I played it. But the Reeper enemy units had all the ground unit forms basically if you fought it on the ground. In single player you fought in in multiple player. Well trying to do any an all side adjectives.

After crying a lot I decided to finish the game today and realized that you don't need more than 5600 - Total military strength and more than 3600 Effective Military Strength in order to get all possible endings plus shepard to live at the end. It all depends on your choices during your gameplay and also in collecting all artifacts from the nebulas. I was scared after seeing a lot of RU-vid videos but luckily it was proved wrong. I enjoy your videos and hope to see more of them in the future once we have the newest ME.

Actually, Tali can still be exiled while we still can keep peace between Quarian and Geths. The check was 5 points out of 2 points for Tali not exiled in her loyalty mission 2 points for Destroy the heretics 1 point for use Paragon/Renegade to solve conflict between Tali vs Legion after doing their both loyalty in ME2 1 point for each side missions before Tuntanka on ME3 (1 is rescue quarian admiral and another is destroy geth's squadron) So maximum is 7 points, without 2 points from Tali being exiled we still have 5 points to keep the peace.

In my opinion, this is the best RENEGADE ending. Being willing to sacrifice EDI and your Geth allies just for a chance to see Shepard's "chest armor rise" suggesting that MAYBE they survive? Especially betraying Wrex and later sabotaging the genophage for the Salarians? Knowing that this doesn't actually end the conflict, but just postpones it? Forget whatever that Paragon/Renegade meter says. YOU are 100% renegade for making this ending happen. The best PARAGON ending is Synthesis. Just imagine that world. By the game's own definition, we're talking automatic peace on Tuchanka no matter what happened with the Genophage. Consider for a second, friendly Thresher Maws. All the alien racism? Gone. Shepard making the ultimate selfless sacrifice to not only permanently end the threat, but bring permanent peace and harmony to the galaxy? This is simply the peak paragon choice. The Control ending is a compromise. Good or bad, whatever state you left the world in stands just like with the destroy ending. Recovery from the final battle would just be quicker. Regardless of what most of the fanbase seems to think, it's also the only ending that guarantees Shepard's existance in some form. And if EDI can find a body and GAIN humanity, they can help the Shepard AI find one to help protect the galaxy and rediscover it's humanity, if it chooses to reveal itself. All those philosophical discussions with EDI about an AI's place among humanity take on a whole new meaning here. Synthetic peace is assured, but biological peace won't last. But with the Shepard AI as guardian, the galaxy has a better chance to find peace than with the destroy ending.
@Jedi_Spartan
@Jedi_Spartan 3 года назад
Personally, I see Destroy as the best ending (and in Legendary Edition you can do it without moral sacrifices like the Genophage) as it's been seen by everyone allied against the Reapers as the ONLY option before the Shepard reaches the actual endpoint and - minus sacrificing the Geth and EDI - will maintain/restore the generalised status quo of the final cycle with bonuses like the Krogan being freed from the Genophage and the Quarians returning to Rannoch. Also why does everyone think Synthesis is the best/Paragon ending? It's really vague in how things will work going forward even in the Extended Cut monologue unlike Destroy and Control, almost to stop people from thinking about the option that came out of left field by only giving them surface level details. Also something I've been obsessing over recently is what happens to all the Husks/other Reaper footsoldiers after the Synthesis burst. Control feels like there is large amount of risk to it. As long as Shepard was strong enough to ACTUALLY control them rather than the other way round like TIM and a faction of Protheans mentioned by the VI on Thessia then it could be a positive outcome. Although it's possible that over millenia, species return to various cycles beyond just the Reapers that plagued the galaxy since the fall of the Leviathans (eg: constructing and losing control of AI) and the AI created by Shepard's sacrifice would reluctantly view the Reaper harvests as an inevitably.
@djdaem0nplays
@djdaem0nplays 3 года назад
@@Jedi_Spartan It's because the Destroy ending is a quick fix that doesn't solve the problem that started the war in the first place. The Catalyst AI explains this. It stops the Reapers, but the conflict with AI vs CREATORS is free to continue. The Control ending makes Shepard's consciousness the new arbiter in that conflict, which ends the battle versus the reapers AND gives everyone a chance at peace. CHANCE isn't a solution but it's more than nothing. Meanwhile, Synthesis ENDS the conflict all together by hybridizing the milky way species. The explanation isn't vague at all, the catalyst spells it out clearly. Organics reach the perfection they desire by becoming part synthetic, and synthetic life reaches true understanding of organics by becoming part organic. All are now connected as hybrids, and thus.. true and lasting peace. Also "minus sacrificing the Geth and EDI" is kind of a big deal. Glossing over killing one of your companions (a unique intelligent being) and genociding an entire species as collateral damage just to kill the Reapers off when there are other options? I'm not saying it's evil, but that level of not giving a damn and doing what you want because you want it is textbook Renegade.
@Jedi_Spartan
@Jedi_Spartan 3 года назад
@@djdaem0nplays Synthesis IS vague in HOW it works and what collateral damage it causes (eg: fates of Reaper victims/footsoldiers). Control rests on a knife's edge based on whether you view it as an illusion imposed on an indoctrinated Shepard (since everyone else who argued for it became indoctrinated too) or that Shepard truly strong enough to become the new Catalyst rather than the Star Child telling them what they want to hear. I'll give you the point about the Geth because I feel bad about using them for War Assets when going with destroy (even though I can have a sense of detachment with certain decisions like them and killing Wrex on Virmire to save Mordin, if not just skip the pretext and let the Quarians destroy them over Rannoch) but I believe, if the situation were explained to her, EDI would agree with the Destroy option as she began to become more human throughout Mass Effect 3 and more accepting of the possibility of self sacrifice where necessary. Along with that, Destroy has the least unknowns of any option as the Catalyst explains the full consequences of what will happen (perhaps to turn Shepard away from it if it was part of an indoctrination plot) and is the option reinforced the most throughout the entire game.
@Jedi_Spartan
@Jedi_Spartan 3 года назад
@@djdaem0nplays Also a few points I missed in the last reply: Synthesis feels like a hollow ending because - unlike Control which The Illusive Man mentions in every conversation with Shepard - there is no reference to Synthesis at all in Mass Effect 3. When the Catalyst is explaining the Destroy option to Shepard, Anderson is a representation of it and throughout the series, he's always been presented as the Paragon element/representation of Humanity (with Udina representing the Renegade element in ME1... especially with the all Human Council discussion if the Destiny Ascension was destroyed). Meanwhile - although he isn't shown when the final explanation of the option to my knowledge - The Illusive Man was pushed as the very vocal supporter of the Control option for the entire game while obviously being one of the most Renegade characters in the Trilogy. For the future under Destroy, there may be the risk of AIs becoming a threat again but that may not happen for centuries (and perhaps if AIs are created again then perhaps experiences with the Geth and EDI would allow for organics to pick up on when they have advanced to a state of true consciousness. Along with this, what this ending CAN guarantee is the permanent destruction of the Reapers which have plagued sentient, organic life for untold millenia which is something that has been the overarching objective that Shepard, the Normandy Crew and the galaxy at large have been trying to accomplish for the entirety of Mass Effect 3 and that has been a focus for most of the Trilogy with Anderson's Councilor speech at the end of the first game being a pledge to force the Reapers back into Dark Space and destroy them (something that Udina also references but he's just incompetent and denys the threat until the Reapers attack Earth).
@Johnny-ny3ko
@Johnny-ny3ko 3 года назад
@@Jedi_Spartan I always viewed it that each ending represents who you sympthize the most with, Synthesis is what Saren wanted with "Weakneses of none, strengths of both", Control is what Tim wanted and Destroy is what Shepard been going on about for the entire trilogy. I also think that even the devs tried to push for the destroy ending, because, atleast according to my point of view, during the entire game of ME3 you see the destruction the Reapers cause, everyone who has to die in this fight, the reapers who "annoyingly" position themselves in Rannoch and Tuchanka, I can tell from my experience that after the playthrough I didn't think about the other endings, just destroy the reapers and only partially because Shepard survives.

Also, Conrad Verner. Yes, HIM. He, if you did the collection questions in ME1 and didn't get him killed in ME2, can actually give a tiny boost if you talk to him in ME3. There is tons of questions to think about with the Destroy ending, especially some related to the geth and EDI. Plus the geth and EDI are pretty much temporary losses. They are just computer parts and software/coding. They are much easier to be brought back than a species like the asari and turians. And with how advanced technology is in the Mass Effect games, rebuilding the geth and EDI/bringing them back should be very easy to do. Plus there is Hackett saying "and more" during his narration in the epilogue to the Destroy ending/choice. That "and more" could be the geth and EDI. But going back to the questions, there is a few questions to think about that are related to the geth and EDI. How badly were the geth destroyed? How much of EDI was destroyed? The physical body of EDI is just an extension of EDI and the body needs to stay within a certain distance to the Normandy (which is never specified unless I missed something) or else she loses control of the body. Her main core is in the Normandy. So was it the physical body that got destroyed, the main core located on the Normandy, or both? After listening to everyone's thought process when watching their gameplay/reaction videos and breaking down the three choices, it sounds like everyone is just thinking the physical body got destroyed. So I'm going with that the physical body only got destroy. BUT EDI says that she isn't 100% in the physical body. Her main base of operations is still on the Normandy. The body is just an extension and she is only controlling it. Just like Harbinger would "assume control" in Mass Effect 2 and possess the collectors so he could be on the battlefield. But you weren't killing Harbinger. Just the body he possessed/controlled. But the question with EDI is applied to the geth as well. How damaged were they? Were the whole bodies fried or the main key piece, or just a small part that could easily be mass produced and easily replaced? And if EDI's Normandy core was damaged, how badly was it damaged/fried? The whole thing, or just a small piece that could easily be replaced? But even if the geth and EDI were fully wiped out, they are still just parts and software/coding. Shouldn't be too difficult to rebuild the coding/software. Maybe there is a backup somewhere as well and there is some starting point or "save" (meaning pick up where stuff was left off when things were saved, think video game saves). Just like how Maelon's genophage data can be saved/backed up and Mordin is allowed to build from that to create the genophage cure. Then think of the child/catalyst. From what the child/catalyst says, the geth and EDI COULD BE temporary losses. The child/catalyst says that those who survive the destroy option, won't have a problem bringing back what is lost. The child/catalyst is mainly talking about the mass relays, but the child/catalyst says ALL technology that is lost/damaged can be repaired. The geth and EDI are still technology. You can't really trust the child/catalyst either and need to question things since they will say if Destroy is picked, Shepard WILL die. No if's, and's, or but's. But if you have a high amount of war assets and pick Destroy, Shepard lives. So what else could the child/catalyst be lying about? The memorial wall on the Normandy does list EDI if Destroy is picked, but how dead is she really? The physical body? Normandy core? Both? Nothing is ever specified. The Normandy crew, especially Joker could be being too dramatic about the physical body being dead/fried and threw her name up on the wall without stopping and thinking about stuff. But the child/catalyst could be wrong. Maybe the geth and EDI just get temporarily knocked out and part of their systems get fried, but that part could easily be replaced/rebuilt/repaired. Then you got that the child/catalyst is going off of math/calculations. They aren't thinking like an organic. I look at the catalyst/child like they are C-3P0. Threepio is always going off of calculated odds, but isn't thinking like organics are capable of. That's why Han tells Threepio to never tell him the odds. Plus Han is always able to prove Threepio's calculations wrong. So with that, how does the catalyst/child know for sure that a new cycle will start. ALL species are working together. If they need to start from scratch and the geth and EDI are truly dead, then they can all work together to make new synthetics that won't turn into a problem and that will turn on their creators like the geth turned on the quarians. The child/catalyst is only assuming stuff from calculations/math and isn't thinking like an organic. I don't like Control or Synthesis either since Control is what The Illusive Man wanted and Synthesis is what Saren wanted. Both of them were indoctrinated too. Then throw in that the reapers and AI are all adaptive and stuff. So it's possible that the reapers and catalyst/child (who is a reaper itself) could adapt/evolve, find a loophole in things, and then overthrow Shepard, allowing them to regain control of themselves, or turning everyone (in the Synthesis ending) into a massive reaper army and start invading other galaxies. Like Andromeda. I don't like Synthesis either because there will be husk among everyone else. That just seems creepy. Reapers are one thing, but all the husks? No. Get rid of reaper minion like husks. Oh and I find it a little questionable that the child/catalyst lists/mentions Destroy first, making it sound like it's the worst possible choice, especially with doing stuff like saying, "there is another option" or "there is a third option." The child/catalyst is REALLY trying to make Destroy sound bad. Then pay attention to Shepard's eyes and how the catalyst disappears in all the endings. In Control and Synthesis, Shepard's eyes will have that indoctrinated look that Illusive Man and Saren's eyes have when Shepard is being absorbed and right before he is fully absorbs/disappears. Plus the child/catalyst won't disappear right away in those two choices. As for Destroy, Shepard's eyes will remain normal at all times, and the child/catalyst will disappear quickly and in a way that it's mad. So something is off there. Seems like the child/catalyst wants Shepard to join them and the reapers and they don't want to die. Also, if you pay attention to things throughout Mass Effect 3, it kind of hints to Destroy being the correct and possibly the one and only option. There is talks/a theme that every decision will require sacrifices. So with Destroy, that happens to be the loss of the geth and EDI, and Destroy is being foreshadowed. Then there is one one-on-one conversation between Shepard and EDI where EDI will tell Shepard she is okay with dying. She is okay with dying if it means that Joker/Jeff (I think she calls him Jeff) is able to go on living. So that kind of foreshadows the Destroy ending/choice and that EDI will be fine with Shepard picking that choice. Plus Shepard, Hackett, Anderson, James, Ashley/Kaidan, Javik, and a few others (plus everyone military/alliance related) is all "Destroy, Destroy, Destroy" throughout the game while Illusive Man and everyone on his side is all about control, and the child/catalyst even says they control the Illusive Man since he is indoctrinated. So is it The Illusive Man really speaking, or the reapers speaking through him like how Harbinger would "assume control?" So the game is kind of telling you to stay focused on that Destroy option and don't let the reapers or someone indoctrinated trick you. And there is many more hints throughout the three games, especially Mass Effect 3, that hint for you to pick Destroy, foreshadow it, and that it's the best option. I've picked up on anytime Control or Synthesis is being hinted at/foreshadowed, it's always related to enemy/villain characters or someone indoctrinated. EDI is probably the only good character that is talking about/supports Synthesis, but it's implied she supports Destroy as well if you pay close enough attention, especially in that conversation with Shepard where she says she is willing to die if it means Joker gets to survive and go on living. Actually Miranda could be hinting at things as well during the party in the Citadel DLC. She asks Joker about life after EDI and if he'll eventually start a romantic relationship with another organic if EDI can't be there. He says there isn't, but with the Destroy ending, and if EDI is 100% dead, that kind of means he has to move on and should start thinking about life after EDI. I'm a little iffy on the Miranda example it's kind of going in the territory of possibly seeing the future, and Miranda isn't some kind of psychic or anything that can tell the future. But it's still sort of foreshadowing stuff. But yeah. There is a lot to think about when it comes to the Destroy ending/option, and there is more to it than simply "oh, it's the ending/choice where Shepard can live/gets to live." Originally I was all about the whole "Shepard lives" things, but I've done research and paid attention to stuff over the years, and I got more stuff to use to back up why Destroy is the best than just "Shepard lives."

It would feel as proof that the "cycle" continues and sooner or later new AI will revolt

I only have Kasumi and shadow broker DLC for 2 How do I get this ending w/o sabotaging the genophage and wasting money on DLC when the legendary edition with all the DLC comes out in May? Ty for the guides btw, really helps 😊

You don't need 4000 EMS to get that ending, you only need ~3100 EMS since the Extended Cut was released if I'm not mistaken.

Hmmm, I'll have to test this out. I was under the impression that 3100 would unlock all the endings - Sythesis, Destroy, Control and Refuse, but that Shepard would still die in the Destroy ending unless you had 4000 EMS

I cured the genophage outright, went pretty much Completionist/Paragon (I did mistime one Citadel fetch quest), used your guide to broker the Geth/Quarian peace and also to save Maelon’s data etc., and ended up with over 8200 points, so you can definitely do it and still cure the genophage. This was in Legendary with a complete trilogy playthrough, so it’s possible that some of the points awarded may have been adjusted. Right up until Leviathan DLC I was worried that I wasn’t going to get to 8000, but Leviathan put me over the top, after which The Citadel DLC was icing on the delicious Destroy cake. All I can say is Kaidan better bring my FemShep some really good booze in the hospital 😸. As always, thanks Big Dan!

I've just finished the original Mass Efect 3 with 7.900 war assets, without multiplayer and I get the final of this video. With Shepard "still alive".

It sucked the developers made you play multiplayer to get a good single player ending. Another reason why Mass Effect 2 is the best game.
@js1031
@js1031 3 года назад
Not the devs. Blame EA for forcing them to shoehorn MP in a single player experience, as well as a short development cycle. Basically, blame EA for why ME3 was a meh/10.

I actually got the best ending on my first playthrough on PS3. The guide I read said that you needed only 5000 war assets points. I did most of what you said you did, except I lost Jack in ME2 final mission and didn't kill Wrex nor sabotage the cure. My final war assets were around 5600 I think. I didn't play the multiplayer neither in case you're asking.

Hi there. I dunno was this topic updated on a channel, but in MELE (I played this year 2024) I've got 8278 military scores with most paragon playthrough (that's mean everyone is alive as mush as possible (RIP Mordin, Legion, Ashley). I've got perfect destroy and almost happy with all the choices I made in all 3 games. Guides on max assets are updated across the internet, but most of them advise to sabotage genofage, which, honestly, feels wrong with Wrex and Eve alive. Scanning all the planets and doing all possible sides isn't too hard, but listening all that ambient dialogs on Citadel, that should be made a bit easier.

Luckily they rebalanced it in LE to a point where you can just play 3 and still have enough Galactic Readiness for the best ending. Meaning you can complete it pretty easy if you just play through all 3 games naturally.

So for Shepard to live in LE is it just 4000 war assets now?

It’s 7800 for the perfect destroy ending, here is a Available endings are set as part of the conversation with Hackett immediately before hitting Cronos Station in Priority: Cerberus Headquarters. Endings are determined by your war assets at this point, as well as whether you saved or destroyed the Collector Base in ME2. War assets acquired after this point (from the baby Reaper remains) do not affect the available endings. The below scores are what you need pre-Cronos-Station. The "Refuse" ending is always available and always plays out the same way regardless of war assets. War Assets Before Cronos Station Collector Base? Endings 0 < War Assets < 3200 Base saved Control only: Earth destroyed Base destroyed Destroy only: Earth destroyed 3200

I was able to get the "perfect" ending while still having Wrex live in the first game, curing the genephage, and not playing multiplayer back then. Also I will mention saving Major Kiharre and his squad helps a bit and does give you some salarian support. Though I'm pretty sure you end up getting some more later through the game. All these steps I've done as well and got the perfect ending with the exception of not killing Wrex and curing the genephage

You get more Salarian support if you saved the Council in ME 1 and have Thane around to save the Salarian Councilor.
