This is the cutscene after you return from the geth dreadnaught. If you brought Legion to Tali's loyalty mission in ME2, Raan will remember him and react appropriately. See Raan's line at about 1:15.
I'm glad they changed the renegade options from ME1. ME1's renegade was just being kind of a dick to everyone, while a lot of the renegade options in 2 and 3 are just about being a badass. Sometimes. Other times it's near psychopathic, but it's USUALLY just being a badass. I usually play mainly paragon with hints of renegade when someone's really pissing me off, or against blatant enemies.
@@adamroquemore6410 Honestly, I'd argue it's worth being nice to Kalisah, since in ME3, you can get War Assets from her when she confronts you on the Citadel, but you can then use a Paragon interrupt to calm her down and assure her that you're doing everything you possibly can to stop the Reapers & save Earth. If you do this, she thanks you and uses whatever influence she can muster to try and help increase the War Assets available to you. She may be a bit of a bitch in ME1 & ME2, but she's still just doing her job. In ME3 she's just a scared woman who doesn't know what to do or who to turn to for help, or who to rely on to save the galaxy.
I'll defend legion against everyone. Well except tali but I was high enough in paragon that I was able to choose both thankfully. I don't think I could've watch tali or legion die by my hand. R.I.P legion.
"So did your pistol, should I worry about it's feelings t-" "Xen, you may be Quarian Morrigan, but disrespecting my crew has gotten jaws broken, and disrespecting my pistol has caused genocide..."
+Mike MD Well, *technically*, Legion *is* an 'it'-- in that the consciousness inhabiting the mobile platform designated 'Legion', doesn't identify itself as either male *or* female; even the *Mass Effect wiki* refers to Legion as 'it'. However, the gist here is that Tali is correcting Shepard because she knows her fellow quarians' opinion on AI, and she doesn't want them thinking that she is getting too...cozy...with Legion. (Though I personally am with Shepard-- I always think of Legion as a 'he'.)
"They" is the correct pronoun; Legion is a group of geth, technically. If you recall, all geth platforms/bodies are inhabited by multiple geth, because that's how they work.
@Laforgus You don't sacrifice conscripted civilians to make an attack that could potentially fail. Admiral Gerrel's Heavy Fleet was meant to cover the retreat of the Civilian Fleet, commanded by Admiral Korris which was pinned down by the Geth fighters and dreadnought. Instead Gerrel broke from this plan, separating from the civilian fleet. This made them vulnerable and could have cost twelve million lives. You do NOT sacrifice twelve million lives just for something that MIGHT work.
I hate what they did with the Quarians in ME3. The Quarian political situation in ME2 was really interesting and each of the admirals had interesting and rational positions. Then in ME3 someone in a suit told Bioware that was too challenging for the shithead demographic so they made Koris/Gerrel into textbook good/bad guys and the conflict 1D lest a 12-year-old be faced with the horrors of a complex thought.
ME3 messed up a lot of points of interest as well as the complexity of certain characters; in ME2 the Admirals demonstrated more calculated thinking that wasn't as callous as it was cautious - they'd rather bomb the Alari than spend bodies to explore it and find out what happened. Their diverse viewpoints were also more interesting to see, yet really nothing seems to have changed/occurred as a result in the year between ME2 and ME3. I tolerated much of ME3's questionable plot points (even the endings to an extent), but the Quarians (and thus characters who act in complete disrespect of who they were previously) are where I draw the line honestly.
Honestly, alot of the military/strategy stuff in ME 3 should've been thought about harder. The Salarian deal is even worse than the Quarian stuff, it makes no sense on either side. Lets see, we're fighting an army of cyber cthulus and their techno-zombies, do we want the support of the space dinosaurs that love shooting things with shotguns or the grey aliens who can spy on them and tell us how many bathroom breaks Harbinger took today? Or whatever the hell Cerberus was doing. The Illusive Man is the one man in the entire galaxy that knows just as much, if not more than, Shepherd does regarding the dangers of reaper indoctrination. He knows better than to have the reaper brain/heart 10 feet away from his office, or jam reaper tech into himself and his soldiers.
@@Monomiknose to be fair, Salarians aren't just that. They do operate with spionage and intelligence, but they've also got expert military trained soldiers, and their own fleets. The latter isn't something to sleep on, since the Reapers themselves are spaceships with extra steps. The Krogan are really only useful when it comes to fighting the ground troops, but the big guns come from the space squids and you really need something to fight that.
I think I pressed "I understand" here. Not because I'm that much of a paragon player (I kinda am), but because at that point Shepard wouldn't sweat it. Sure, do whatever I already saw a thresher maw eat a reaper, so whatever.
Generally for me Shepard would be rightfully pissed at Gerrel. I mean dude pretty much split off, leaving the Civilian fleet at risk for something that MIGHT have wormed. Also he endangerd Sheoard and their Crew on tbe dreadnought. So i have my Shepard punch Gerrel every. Damn. Time
@@dragonfable66 I can never not punch Gerrel. The guy jeopardized everything and nearly killed the boarding team because he's obsessed with killing geth. In a more realistic setting, he'd be removed from command and court-martialed for deliberately firing on a disabled ship with a friendly boarding team still on it.
Shala'Raan's: I want to disassemble you and use whatever is left as i intend. Legion: We want to help you reclaim your homeworld, as that you desperatly wanted for 300 years, free of charge, because im´ma good boy.
@@samzorn4656If you play on PC, the early recruitment mod is amazing, allowed me to recruit Legion extremely early so I was able to take him on a lot of missions, including Tali's, before the Reaper IFF mission.
Not trying to sound misogynistic when I say this but every time i see a scene or a play through almost every Male Shep is paragon and almost every Fem Shep is Renegade. Kinda funny, I don't know if people are seeing the same results.
John Theriault plenty renegade choice is great you just can't pick paragon in all the conversation ... that's a bit soft. My character has one bar paragon and 4 bars renegade but still a hero , save galaxy, cure genophage , make geth/quarian peace . badass and still a good guy :D
Hoai Nam Vu i think its because most people have played paragon maleshep multiple times, they want a change of gameplay, a mass effect can offer other gender and totally other attitude. so why not try it?
Even as paragon, i would choose the renegade interrupt every time. If i was on a ship that they told me to go to and they decided to shoot it down with me on it I'd grab the general by the back of the helmet, drag him to an eacape pod and space him after saying his renegade quote. Hell, this is just the kinda of action that would make me choose the geth over the quarians (sorry tali, love you)
taking that option with gerrel is a lot easier to do if you check whom his va voices in dragon age, and me2 overlord... 2 people that also seems to think that the end justifies the means. one can die in multiple ways, or not. the other can get pistol whipped.
0:25 - That's what you get for not thinking the best for your own I always choose to punch Han'Gerrel if the option comes by.. Hmm.. it appears that being a "suit-wetter" like Zaal'Koris is the best option ;)
If the problem was just firing on the dreadnought while they were inside that would be one thing. The problem I think was that because he did that, he did not or could not help the civilian fleet get to safety.
When I played through I knew I could punch a bunch of folks but decided I would play a paragon run so it was odd to have to avoid punching the reporter and or garrel at times like this
Tali'Zorah vas Normandy Creator Zorah, we have to say that since your "upgrades", this platform has seen and done things that will scar it's processes forever. >
Really? What a petty piece of crap. "I know you gave us back our homeland and fixed a conflict that has lasted hundreds of years but you punched me in the gut because I tried to kill you and endangered my people. So no support."
I like watching these Renegade scenes here. I've never seen them before cuz' I'm total Paragon player. There's only one time on the entire ME trilogy I make the Renegade-decision. You propably know which one...
I had always hoped that Shepard would show the galaxy the footage of the Quarian police massacring defenceless surrendering geth in the morning war so the Quarians can be held accountable for their horrific crimes.
Legion is the perfect opportunity to study enby characters. Especially considering they are what 1000-something individual processes all acting together? They’re the perfect example OF using they to describe one being
No. People are already narcissistic enough. It doesn't matter how you identify or what you want to be called. Other people have _actual_ problems and they shouldn't be concerned with shallow people's feelings.
Sorry if you've heard this before, but damn that's some nice hair. I often wonder why Bioware doesn't give us these hairstyles themselves in the character creation screen.
Diamond Dawg Confirmed. Default male Shepard is a disaster. The Miranda romance initiation conversation in ME2 is one of the creepiest moments in all of Mass Effect.
Which is strange since its not like that for most characters. Default and custom Shepards are really God-awful,but the rest of characters are just fine. Javik is excellent. Garrus,Anderson,Asari,Thane,Liara, are all great. But yeah,Shepard was always pretty bad. Especially Male Shep (Femshep is actually somewhat decent). I just try to ignore it as much as possible.
