Marc is the only player in the world who can build a planetary in the back of his main and have opponent blink 20 stalkers directly into it 3 minutes later. These things don't happen to other people.
Ngl, I kind of thought that first game was Marc against himself, just looking at the names. The name his opponent is using is something he would use for a void rays to gm series, lol.
I loved the commentary on the brazil server. For a moment i thought, being very scared: Wait! am i at risk of being matched with Uthermal in BR server? ... Then i remembered my mmr. 🙃
14 years ago when I played SC2, for fun we used to set a countdown of 15-20 minutes before attacking and then go all in.. Huge Army vs Huge Army - Fun times
honestly: why not start planning on building a planetary in your main (centrally located from now on) as a manner of course, especially against races/builds that go for drops/runby production attacks and base trades like Toss? You need to have all those vulnerable tech labs on all the starports to build Ravens so just plan on sandwiching a Planetary in between a couple rows of ports/techlabs sometime during midgame. Best part is that you'll have SCV's right nearby for repairing the planetary.
The next time against stalkers, building those forward pcc's are okay, but next tiem against blink stalker in high counts, building a few barracks, to trap the stalkers in packets, since primary force of yours flies, and you jsut need a protected scv run... which saving losses of workers, also to isolate your mineral plcement you can build one on each side, and a forward motion to the above ramp areas hit hard for pcc's hwich is seldom used, and also aa defence in a few places, but ramp side pccs with range upgrade, and drilling claws could of saved a few widow mines, about, 8 or 9... so is that worth getting drilling claws early, maybe since killing a sentry makes it worth it... It was a fun game, just noticed one super optimal pcc, and a few non optimal pcc. I wish you can see the range of buildings so you can plan better but then you cna make kill zones.. but yeah, building zones where you encourage stlakers ot blink forward or chase, but get trapped and have ot run back thorhg your pcc. with braracksa few of them you can re arrange your border and amze systems so you jsut fly them around making walls and creating pathing choas so stalkers can escape... one funny thing is, you can, have three flying off lower side, and when they come to make anattakc you block or narrow their flee spot.. and hten you go in at the same time, and thus when htey blink away, you continue hte chase, becuase they will have to wait your blockade to blink over, but sometiems there is gery pathing where the unit knows to go around, but only typically with rally that this weird bug happens.
I wanna see what happens when you have a group of mines on the map and take advantage of the fact that everyone wants to run away from the raven turrets. Corral them into the mines! You don’t even need to have many, just a large spread of them on the map.
Turrets - nerfed into the ground, widow mines - almost nerfed into the ground (pun intended), and Marc still somehow manages to delete a 5k protoss with this composition. This is bonkers.
Please make a video on uThermal2 about Thor Ghost not being IMBA. It would be great if Harstem was the Terran and you were Zerg. That would be really cool.
What would thermal do if the enemy does the spiteful Terran fly bases around and not surrender? I’m not sure raven widowmine can actually end the game.
When you get ahead why not add orbitals in the main for additional scans and mules? In the Ultra late game you could even aggressively mule their bases.
I always wonder: Why, instead of trying hard vs some random probes, not instead drop 4-5 autoturrets to destroy a big artosis pylon and buildings? Rebuilding is not an economy hit but it buys you anti-snowballing time.
@@eclipseeffigy i do understand that theory, i just wonder if it's an easy alternative vs heavily defended mineral lines. or is it always better to just skip to the next worker line and hope?
